My Talent's Name Is Generator - Chapter 899 The Wait Is Over

Chapter 899 The Wait Is Over
A few more days passed as I worked through each of my laws.
The process was slow, demanding, and at times exhausting. I had too many laws to rely on shortcuts alone. Some of them, like the Major Law of Time, were easier to refine because of the runes in my soul space, guiding me and reducing the effort needed to push them forward. But others like Blood Law or Devouring Law had no such support. Those required pure effort, repetition, and control, pushing them again and again until they began to change.
Alongside that, I continued refining my stats, pushing them deeper into the pre-origin threshold. I worked on my skills as well, leveling them, stabilizing them, and making sure they responded exactly how I wanted in every situation.
There was no wasted time. Every moment was preparation.
Finally, I opened my status again and focused on the timer.
12 hours remained till my battle with Defender Aurora. I closed the window and stood up, letting out a slow breath as I stepped out of the training room.
The house was quiet.
Then a familiar voice echoed gently in my mind.
“Good morning, love. Come to the kitchen… I made breakfast.”
A small smile formed on my face.
I began walking.
As I moved through the house, my thoughts drifted back over the past few days. It hadn’t been just training. Between the intensity of preparation, there had been moments of calm with North. Time spent together, conversations that had nothing to do with battles or power, and quiet hours where everything else faded away.
And yes, moments that were far from quiet between both of us.
I shook my head slightly, the smile lingering as I reached the kitchen.
North was already there.
The table was set, simple but warm, filled with freshly prepared food. She stood near the counter, her hair tied loosely, the morning light falling across her as she turned toward me.
“Finally,” she said with a soft smile. “I was starting to think you’d skip this too.”
“I wouldn’t dare,” I replied, stepping closer.
She gave me a look, half amused, half knowing, then gestured toward the table.
I sat down and she joined me a moment later, placing the last dish down before taking her seat across from me.
For a few minutes, we just had normal talk.
“So,” she said after a while, resting her chin lightly on her hand, “how much time do you have left?”
“Not much,” I replied. “Twelve hours.”
She nodded slowly, her expression thoughtful but not worried.
“You’ll win,” she said simply.
I looked at her.
“That confident?”
She smiled faintly.
“I’ve seen you,” she said. “More than anyone else.”
I let out a small breath and leaned back slightly.
“Still,” I added, “this one feels… different.”
She didn’t deny it.
Instead, she reached across the table and placed her hand over mine.
“It’s going to be alright,” she said softly. “There’s no one below Saint in this galaxy who can match you. You’ll clear this quest.”
I nodded.
After breakfast, we didn’t rush back into anything serious. Instead, we spent the next few hours simply roaming across Abor. We moved from one continent to another, visiting different landscapes, endless oceans, quiet forests, mountain ranges that touched the sky. There was no purpose behind it other than being there, together, away from everything else.
At one point, I even took a break and picked up the book North had been reading.
It was… interesting.
Loosely based on my story, but heavily exaggerated. There were parts where I was apparently fighting Grandmaster-level opponents while still a mortal, defeating enemies far beyond my level, even taking on emperors and alien threats long before I actually had the strength to do so.
I shook my head slightly as I flipped through it.
“They really don’t hold back, do they?” I said.
North laughed.
“It makes for a better story,” she replied.
“Spicy is one way to describe it,” I muttered.
Time passed quickly.
Before I knew it, only two hours remained.
We returned to the house, and I headed straight to take a shower, letting the water run over me as I cleared my thoughts and settled my mind. When I stepped out, I felt lighter, more focused.
I stood in front of the mirror for a moment.
The reflection staring back at me was not the same as before. I had changed. My eyes, once purely green, now carried a faint purple tint within them. My hair had grown longer, falling past my shoulders, and there was a weight to my presence that hadn’t existed during my academy days.
I looked at myself for a second longer. Then turned away.
I put on the robes of the Order of Absolute and walked out.
North was already in the living room.
I walked over and sat beside her.
The clock began ticking down.
One minute.
She reached out and took my hand, her fingers tightening slightly as she looked into my eyes.
“Baby… I love you.”
I held her gaze.
“I love you too,” I replied, leaning in to give her a short kiss.
She rested her head on my shoulder after that, and we stayed like that in silence, waiting.
I pulled up my status, letting my eyes scan through everything I had achieved over the past few days, measuring my progress one last time before what came next.

The clock reached one. Then Zero.
