Nine Star Hegemon Body Arts - Chapter 7014 Occupying the Divine Capital

Chapter 7014 Occupying the Divine Capital
“Break!” roared the translucent figure, and evil qi erupted.
This translucent figure was the actual Devil Venerate—more specifically, something like the Yuan Spirit of the Devil Venerate. This Yuan Spirit had parasitized the three-headed lifeform’s body. It was worshiped by everyone, and using their faith energy, it absorbed law power and karmic luck from the divine capital.
Now, it could no longer bring away its host body. It could only flee as a Yuan Spirit. However, even in this form, it was not on a level that Lei Linger could deal with. With an explosive sound, the lightning net was pierced through.
However, waiting on the other side was Cang Lu with the Bloodfiend Halberd. It struck the Devil Venerate’s Yuan Spirit head-on, and Cang Lu’s full power actually blew apart the Yuan Spirit!
The next moment, the Yuan Spirit reformed, but a sea of flames locked down on it. Multicolored flames condensed into a rainbow appeared around it. The petals folded around the Yuan Spirit.
“Break!” the Devil Venerate roared, and the flame lotus exploded like a beautiful firework.
The Devil Venerate was free again, but breaking free had exhausted a huge amount of its energy. It was visibly fatigued, and it could not continue for much longer.
It was at this moment that a bronze cauldron appeared out of thin air; its lid slammed shut, trapping the Devil Venerate inside. Heaven and Earth runes quivered, forming millions of chains that instantly bound it. Yet the Demon Moon Cauldron shuddered violently, and the chains cracked one after the other! Even in its exhausted state, the Devil Venerate was still a terrifying foe.
But then, Long Chen formed hand seals. The Demon Moon Cauldron quivered and shot right into his spiritual space, and with that, the battle was over. The Devil Venerate’s Yuan Spirit was locked for good; now that it was in Long Chen’s spiritual space, the battleground was overwhelmingly to his advantage. The Yuan Spirit would no longer be able to cause any waves.
After accomplishing this, Long Chen finally relaxed, only for his eyes to explode with pain. He hadn’t even realized it while fighting, but he actually could not see anything. He had been fighting entirely with divine sense ever since using the Purgatory Eyes.
He felt a wave of dizziness strike him, and he fell from the sky. As he plummeted, he vaguely heard Li Yixuan’s voice from a distance. He then felt her catch him, and he heard her calling to him, but her voice felt like it was coming from incredibly far.
Long Chen knew that he had pushed himself too far and was about to fall unconscious. However, relying on his powerful willpower, he managed to not pass out. After several breaths, he managed to pull himself together to some extent. But his eyes were still in too much pain to open them.
“Clean up the battlefield.! Gather the disciples! We have to leave!” Li Yixuan frantically gave orders as she held onto Long Chen.
This battle had come at an immense price. The Full Moon Sect might not have lost any disciples, but there were barely a few hundred of them still capable of moving.
“Don’t leave. Restore this place and use the formation discs to fix the grand formation. This place will belong to the Full Moon Sect from now.” Long Chen’s voice was weak and hoarse.
“What?” Li Yixuan was startled.
“This place is where the dragon veins converge and karmic luck gathers. It’s a thousand times better than your sect’s territory. They did some things to it, but it’ll work out to our advantage in the end,” said Long Chen.
“But…” Li Yixuan stared at the wreckage that had once been the divine capital. She then looked at the unconscious disciples. She had no confidence in this.
Yes, the divine capital was a treasure. This location was definitely unmatched in the Heavenly Magnificence Divine Prefecture. But would they be able to occupy it? That was the real question. Even if they could use it temporarily, what would happen when the rest of the Heavenly Magnificence Divine Prefecture learned that the Full Moon Sect had taken over the divine capital? How were they supposed to explain themselves?
Everyone would assume that they had been greedy and destroyed the divine capital. Then the Full Moon Sect would be the public enemy of the entire Heavenly Magnificence Divine Prefecture.
“Do as I say!” Long Chen didn’t want to explain further.
Li Yixuan clenched her teeth and stopped everyone, directing them to repair the divine capital’s damaged grand formation.
This grand formation was not some complex monstrosity. It was the opposite—it was incredibly simple because it relied entirely on the Divine Master’s statue as its core. The statue had been destroyed, of course, so there was no core anymore. Thus, Li Yixuan simply replaced it with the formation discs, and the grand formation slowly started to repair itself.
“Eh? Where is this place…”
Two figures appeared in the sky. These two were Divine Sovereigns. When they saw the destroyed divine capital, their first assumption was that they had come to the wrong place. When they saw the Full Moon Sect’s disciples working on cleaning up, they were filled with disbelief.
“Damn it, what happened here?!”
The two of them furiously rushed over. However, they couldn’t even get close before two petals silently pierced their heads and killed them.
“Tch, just because I couldn’t beat that Devil Venerate doesn’t mean I can’t deal with trash like you!” Evilmoon cursed angrily.
This battle had left it in a bad mood. Now it was a bit regretful over its new start. If it hadn’t started cultivating anew, how could that Devil Venerate have acted so arrogantly against them? However, although it hadn’t managed to beat the Devil Venerate, everyone else was still an ant in front of it.
This was what gave Long Chen the confidence to let everyone stay here. As long as Evilmoon was here, no one could touch them. Furthermore, Evilmoon had absorbed an enormous amount of energy, hopefully enough for it to awaken other runes. After all, just sharpness alone was far from enough. But it still wasn’t the right time.
As more of the disciples woke up, the grand formation was repaired faster and faster. Three days later, all the disciples had awoken, and the divine capital had been cleaned up of debris.
The grand formation had come back to life… technically. The two formation disks worked perfectly fine instead of the statue, so the energy flow was unimpeded. However, while the grand formation was active, its defensive power was basically zero.
That was because the original formation runes had been completely shattered, and over ninety percent of them were unrepairable. Fixing all of this was a laborious task; it would take much longer than just one or two days.
More importantly, that was not the priority. Since Li Yixuan had decided to follow Long Chen’s orders, her focus was on reconstructing the transportation formations. She wanted to move all the Full Moon Sect’s resources here. And it was at this time that Li Yixuan’s daring side showed itself once more. She didn’t hold back at all, and in just seven days, the entire Full Moon Sect was moved over. Not just the people and their immediate assets, but even the grand buildings of the sect were brought over intact.
No, let alone the buildings, even the bricks on the ground had been dug up and moved. After all, the divine capital was enormous, and the destruction it had suffered was on a correspondingly tremendous scale. They were missing plenty of things, including construction materials. Even after moving the entire Full Moon Sect, they only managed to give the city a basic structure and make it look less like a ruin.
To fully rebuild the divine capital would definitely be a taxing and laborious task for the Full Moon Sect’s manpower and wealth.
During these seven days, the sky had continued to brighten. Although the sun had yet to appear, a new light was permeating the world.
The last traces of the old era were being erased, and the new era was taking its first footsteps…
