Omega Summoner - Chapter 2879: The Sneaky Gods

It is not just the Titan King Kronus that is on the move quietly as there were other godly factions that have started the integration of their faith to society. Some started secret services that would enrich each of their followers. For example, the gods of fortune would give advice and preachings to their vehement followers which would increase their gain in monetary values.

Another example would be the Gods of Medicine using their expertise in healing sickness and spreading their faith to those that they need to heal. The gods have started the cold war as one could say as they are fighting against each other for the faith of the people. The Gods of Life and Death decided to not bother what the other gods are doing as long as they do not suddenly cull all life or do anything that is taboo regarding death.

Even if the Gods of Life and Death are basically acting like the observers, there are gods that cannot be seen when in movement. These gods are those that always moved in secret that even some gods do not know that they exit. Gods that are not traditionally viewed as such are often those that are weak and prey for the others.

Contrary to what mortals know, the gods themselves also fear death which is why they always leave their divine core in their divine realms. With their core in their divine realms, the gods will always return to their divine realm even if their other selves are destroyed. This might leave them to be asleep for a few years to centuries but that is different from being extinguished.

Gods are not beings that reincarnate without exterior help or a punishment. Gods can die when their entire body is extinguished which means nothing that has their divine spark is left. Gods can revive if they have even a little bit of their core divine spark left. It might take years or centuries but they will regenerate from that.

This is the reason why there are gods that can become sigils in the body of players like Adrian’s current one. The playing field now is not just for the gods because even mortals are now mixed in. The Gods have chosen mortals to carry their insignia and revive them. Adrian is also one of them even though the Light has been quite silent as of now.

Adrian did not know when but Light has gone silent but there was nothing wrong with him. Even Paradox stated that the divine entity leeching off Adrian is just currently in a weakened state and needs to recuperate. Adrian was only able to verify this when Paradox has merged with his body and soul as the latter acts as a powerful detector for any anomalies for his body.

“I would have loved to start collecting the other divine sparks that he has to restore his body and get his blessing or some item but he is out of commission.” Adrian muttered as he watched as Wuchang and Alix fight over the enemies that they are now defeating.

Adrian is thinking about the next steps because Levin Cloud has told him that he has finished the runes on the Alfheim side. He now has one more day before the expected world fusion but Levin Cloud told him that there was something that happened. It seems that some of the runes were destroyed and even tampered with on their end.

“The runes on our end are not destroyed or anything because I already hid them in a separate dimension. I will use them once the ritual has already started but who would destroy the runes on Alfheim? There are only Faekin, Elementals, and some monsters in Alfheim that are alive. The areas tagged there are also away from monster areas which means that there is a spy.” Adrian stated.

Levin Cloud also thought that there was a spy which is why he told individuals that he has suspected with different types of information. Levin Cloud basically fed each suspected individual with specific locations that he will fix the runes. He will check which of the area will have a ’visitor’ to see who really is the one trying to sabotage all of this.

Adrian is just waiting for the answer from Levin Cloud’s side as they cannot delay the raid against the Primordial Beast Nidhogg. The battle against the Primordial Beast Nidhogg will not be easy because no one can attack it with elemental attack. Even Adrian found it difficult to find allies to fight against the beast devouring the Mother Tree in Alfheim.

“Should I check on my parents?” Adrian asked as he immediately added his mother and father as friends as soon as they can see their friend codes.

Adrian then learned that they are still in Genesis Village and exploring it with much enthusiasm. He is even shocked on the races that his parents chose because he never expected it. Adrian’s father chose a rather quirky race which actually lives in Avalon but they are ones that rarely go out. Adrian’s father chose the Matagot Race which are basically feline humanoids.

The Matagot Race is a bit special because they are few in number are rather shy and hard to spot. They are different from Selvaggians because they are bipedal cats with dark fur. They also have the ability to shapeshift into humans which is why they can blend in perfectly. Some of the Faekin that Adrian talked to have said that the Matagot does have Fae blood in them but there is also something else mixed in.

Adrian asked how the Matagot Race came to be and the elders of their race told him that they were born from the union of a Dark God and a Fairy. They were quite scared to tell their origin story to Adrian as they might get kicked out but they were relieved when he did not. Adrian is not heartless to kick off a race that is already struggling and have no home left.

“I do know that they are a race that is said to have the special skill called Money Sniffer. They are said to be able to sniff out anything that can create money. Although, the skill is not for all of their race and only chosen individuals that are blessed by their god. I want to know which dark god that is because it might be another ally in the fights to come.” Adrian stated as he then looked at the information that his mother gave him.

Adrian’s actually thought that his mother would just choose a normal human model since she likes to say that she wants to experience real battles in the game. He is then surprised that she chose a reclusive race like his father which also lives in Avalon. This reclusive race is called Kinara which are half human and half bird creatures.

The Kinara race actually lives with the Avian Selvaggians but they requested to migrate to Avalon once they were introduced to him. They are not like Avian Selvaggians that transform their arms into wings but they have their wings on their lower back. They also have a human face and upper body with their ears only being small wings.

The most striking feature of the Kinara are their lower half that is basically like a bird. They have the lower part of a bird with full on talons that can crush stone easily. The notable personality of their race is that they are gentle beings filled with love and devotion. They are also great musicians and singers as they often become bards when they polymorph to look human.

“I am suddenly afraid that my mother will shatter the illusion of the Kinara race being peace loving and gentle. Anyways, the two of them chose some interesting races as both can easily polymorph to look more human but their polymorph is different from others.” Adrian thought as he remembered that the polymorph used by the Matagot and the Kinara race is akin to hiding their bodies via body reformation.

They Matagot and Kinara race would often expose themselves when they are seriously injured or are very emotional. Parts of their body would slip out like eyes or even their hands when they get riled up or shocked. He is suddenly curious why those two races resonated with his parents but he suddenly got a message from Levin Cloud.

[Levin Cloud: I finally have proof of the one that did it and we even tried to capture them but it seems they were already brainwashed to the point of no return. We still do not know the mastermind but the Faekin elders did get some sort of malicious energy from the dead body. Do you think we should delay the merge?]

[Equinox: The merge will still be processed as per the date. The culprit will appear more and more once we start it. The fate of the world is at stake and I am not refering to Alfheim.]
