Re-Awakening: I Ascend with a Legendary class - Chapter 642: Victorious

Chapter 642: Victorious
The mountain didn’t feel like terrain anymore. It felt like a living thing that was trying to shake them off, a collapsing battlefield that refused to hold still beneath their feet. Every step upward tore something apart around them.
Stone cracked and splintered under massive pressure waves. The air itself bent and snapped where powerful forces slammed into each other. The ground pulsed and shuddered with the movement of Tier-100 creatures beneath the surface, their presence warping the plateau even before they broke through.
The Regalons moved through all of it without losing formation. They weren’t moving fast, and they weren’t moving slow. They were moving exactly the way they needed to.
Another Tier-100 creature erupted ahead of them, forcing its massive body upward through layers of solid rock like the mountain was shedding its own skin. Its form twisted as it rose, plates shifting and clicking into place, enormous limbs extending outward with a weight so great that the air around them visibly distorted. It didn’t roar or make any sound at all. It just struck.
The impact came down like a sky falling.
Rudra met it head on. His fist drove upward and this time the fracture he created didn’t stay in one place. Cracks spread outward across the creature’s limb and into the surrounding space, connecting to each other like a massive spider’s web. The purple tendrils followed those fractures but instead of lashing wildly, they threaded through them and pulled in multiple directions at once.
The creature’s limb warped out of shape. It wasn’t broken exactly. It was misaligned.
Aryan stepped into that distortion right away. His thrust didn’t aim for a single point anymore. Instead it mapped itself across the warped structure, striking wherever the fractures crossed each other. Each hit didn’t just pierce deeper. It multiplied the instability that was already there.
Maya’s frost followed close behind, but it didn’t freeze the surface of the creature. It froze the distortion itself, locking the warped sections in place so the creature couldn’t correct itself or pull back together.
Rexion’s flame came last. It split apart in midair into dozens of thin streams that threaded themselves into the locked fractures, burning along the exact lines Aryan had already made. The fire didn’t expand outward at all. It followed structure like it knew exactly where to go.
The creature convulsed hard and then collapsed inward on itself, and the ground sank beneath where it fell.
The mountain answered immediately.
Two more Tier-100 creatures surged up from opposite sides at the same time that another team broke through the chaos and crashed directly into their path. There was no pause and no space to breathe. The battlefield compressed into one violent moment all at once.
One of the opposing fighters drove forward with a weapon that bent the air around it, swinging a crushing arc aimed right at Rudra’s center. Chronavael moved and time shifted, slowing the arc just enough that its trajectory could be read even if it couldn’t be fully avoided. Marcus stepped in and redirected the force sideways, bending it into the rising creature instead. The impact detonated on contact and the creature staggered backward.
Silvester and Hiroshi moved through that opening together. Silvester’s blades carved along the creature’s misaligned joints, and each cut left a lingering afterimage that struck again a fraction of a second later. Hiroshi stepped into the exact moment between those overlapping strikes and cut once. The creature separated.
The opposing team didn’t retreat though. They pressed even harder. A field of rotating constructs erupted outward from them and filled the space with layered attacks that left no clean path forward at all.
Natalia answered them. Her weapons rotated into alignment and fired in measured sequences, each shot colliding with a construct at a precise angle. She wasn’t destroying them outright but she was shifting their rotation just enough to matter. The pattern destabilized and the constructs started colliding with each other.
Kayla’s vines erupted exactly where those destabilized paths forced fighters to move, and two of them were impaled mid-step. Saffa locked down the surrounding area and then Clovelle entered with two strikes and two deaths. The rest of the opposing team tried to pull back but Pymon descended on them first, sending lightning falling in controlled pillars that landed wherever retreat paths opened up. The survivors were forced back into the collapsing zone, right into the delayed detonations Fraisea had already set. Nothing remained of them after that.
The mountain still didn’t give them time to recover.
The third Tier-100 creature reached them and it didn’t even bother rising fully out of the ground. It burst forward instead, its speed shattering the air around it, its body blurring into a single forward motion that tore through everything in its path.
It hit them and the formation broke.
Rudra was thrown backward, his body tearing under the force of the impact. Aryan slammed into the ground so hard that cracks spread outward beneath him. Marcus took the brunt of the follow-up strike and his body collapsed completely. He was gone. Rexion’s flame spiraled instantly, pulling the fragments of him back together, and Chronavael layered time over the reconstruction to speed up the process. Marcus reformed just as the next strike came down, and he shifted the ground beneath them so the attack slid wide and barely missed.
“Forward,” Alfred said.
The peak was close now. It wasn’t distant or unreachable anymore. They could see it clearly. And waiting there was one team, still intact, watching them. That team didn’t move to intercept early. They just let the Regalons come through the storm and through the monsters and through everything else the mountain had thrown at them.
The final stretch compressed into a corridor of pure destruction. Three Tier-100 creatures converged at once, one from below, one from the side and one from above, while the rival team moved forward at the same time. Everything collided together all at once.
Rudra stepped forward into the center of it and drove both hands out at once. The fractures this time didn’t spread outward. They collapsed inward. The space between all the incoming forces distorted and pulled the attacks into each other, so the creatures’ strikes collided with each other mid-motion and their own power worked against them.
Aryan moved through that collapse with his trajectories layering across multiple targets at the same time, not separating monster from enemy because everything was a target. Maya froze entire segments of the battlefield and locked both creatures and fighters into controlled zones of motion. Rexion’s flame split and threaded through all of it and consumed whatever was caught inside those frozen distortions. Pymon’s lightning fell in vertical lines that marked everything still moving. Natalia’s fire chained across those marks. Kayla’s vines erupted beneath them. Saffa sealed off every escape path. Clovelle cut through anything still standing and Fraisea detonated what remained.
The battlefield collapsed into a single convergence point.
One of the Tier-100 creatures broke through and slammed directly into Rudra, and his body shattered. Chronavael reversed the moment and Rudra returned. He stepped forward again and this time he didn’t stop. His pulse detonated through the creature’s core, amplified by every lingering mark and every layered effect already in place. The creature split apart. The second followed right after. The third collapsed under the combined pressure of the whole team working together.
Only the rival team remained now. There were five of them, all wounded but all still standing. They charged anyway.
The Regalons met them head on with no distance and no space between them. Blades clashed at arm’s length. Frost locked limbs in place mid-motion. Flames burned through every opening that appeared. Lightning struck in the spaces between bodies. Pulses detonated through direct contact.
Colorful and destructive projectiles were hurled at each other, but the Regalons now stood up above the rest as they progressed during this event.
One enemy fell, got revived and died again. Another tried to break away from the fight but a vine dragged him back and a blade ended him. The last two stood for a moment and then they didn’t.
Silence spread across the peak. The storm above calmed a little. The mountain stopped moving.
[Congratulations. Your team has emerged victorious in the event.]
…
On the other hand, Almond and others were watching people as some of them were finally about to hit 1,000,000 points and reach the Asura-rank.
