Reborn as the Genius Son of the Richest Family - Chapter 1116 Noisy dungeons

Chapter 1116 Noisy dungeons
The hooligans had been hearing that incessant, rhythmic beating all around him for quite some time now. At first, it was faint, barely even audible. But as they spent more and more time in this dungeon, the louder the noise got.
But what’s infuriating was that they seemed to be the only ones who could hear them! The guards and other prisoners of this dungeon said that the only thing audible in this room was the clanking of manacles on the cold hard ground.
This made it seem like they were the crazy one, when in fact, the rhythmic beating was so loud that even the deaf could hear them! It was literally beating so loud that they could feel it in their chests.
“We’re not going crazy! We’re not!” said the hooligan. But there was doubt starting to creep into his voice the more he tried to convince the others.
Arthur showed himself to the hooligans.
“There is no one who can enter this dungeon without me knowing,” he said to the hooligans. “Whatever you’re hearing is insignificant.”
The hooligans weren’t exactly relieved by Arthur’s words. After all, even with him here, they could still hear that beating sound! It was as if someone was playing the drums right next to their ears!
“I will be out for the remainder of the day,” Arthur said to the hooligans and the guard. “We have to practice for the exhibition soon. Once I return, I will prepare for your repentance.”
The hooligans didn’t know what Arthur was implying, but the fact that the guards were shivering in fear meant that this wasn’t good.
“Wait, don’t leave us here!” screamed the hooligan. But no matter how much he screamed, Arthur still stoically walked away from the dungeon.
The hooligans felt their knees go limp.
It was at this moment that a shadow suddenly moved from the corner of the room, unseen from the eyes and vision of the hooligans and the guards beyond.
The hooligans were caught unaware as a shadow was soon about to envelop their entire bodies.
Just then, the hooligans raised their heads as they noticed something. Arthur stood right in front of their prison bars. There was a strange glint in his eyes, visible only from the small slit on his helmet.
Then, a single flash of vertical light brightened the room.
A pause. The metal bars containing the hooligans suddenly fell onto the ground in multiple pieces, each one cut dangerously sharp. No one even saw him draw his sword.
“Sir Arthur!” the guard exclaimed. “What are you doing?!”
Arthur stared at the dungeon room. There was nothing there except the frightened hooligans clinging on the walls.
“I felt something,” he said. However, even with his sword intent searching throughout the entire room, he couldn’t see anything out of the ordinary.
He would think nothing of it. But his intuition was never wrong. His sword heart would never lead him astray.
Finally, he unsheathed his sword. “If there is nothing in this room, then I shall cut down nothing.”
Then, a terrifying aura appeared around Arthur as he summoned his Diva.
It was the figure of a demon, one that was chained in shackles everywhere. Its neck, mouth, and even eyes were completely sealed and fettered by manacles.
He raised his sword and swung it down.
It was a simple move. One that didn’t even cut the air in front of him.
But a couple of seconds later, stone blocks exploded as tens of thousands of cuts appeared all around the dungeon room.
The only thing left untouched were the part of the wall that the hooligans hugged with fear. “Hmm…,” Arthur muttered. He could have sworn he felt something. Unfortunately, it seems that his intuition was wrong this time.
He quickly turned around, before unsheathing his sword one last time and thrusting his weapon at the hooligans.
The hooligans shivered, thinking that they had died. But a couple of seconds later, they were still alive. In fact, one of them could even feel the warm liquid pooling near his crotch.
And when they finally opened their eyes, they were surprised to see an entirely new person right in front of them!
It was a demi-human, one that had dark-blue scales and a form like that of a Draconian.
This newcomer had his sword extended outwards, stopping Arthur’s sword completely.
Everyone was shocked by this turn of events. First of all, they didn’t think that there was someone actually inside the room! And second of all, they were surprised that someone was able to stop Arthur’s sword!
Arthur looked at his own sword. Its tip was stopped by the flat of this demi-human’s sword.
“Haha.”
He couldn’t help but laugh as he struggled to push through. His own sword trembled! Arthur had never felt this before!
In complete contrast, the demi-human in front of him looked bored out of his mind. He wasn’t even struggling as he stopped Arthur’s sword.
Then, the demi-human turned his head to the side. “Hey, you guys got them?”
It was at that moment that the shadows coalesced to form into solid figures. They were Orcs!
“BU TO TO! Extraction complete,” the Orc said as he grabbed the terrified hooligans with one arm. They looked miniature compared to the Orcanine.
Then, the scaled demi-human yawned with his non-sword hand. “Haaa… well, it was fun.”
Arthur’s eyes widened as he realized that his opponents had abducted his prisoners! And now that they had done their job, they were trying to run!
He took back his sword, before the manacled Diva above him moved. Aubility Power spooled out of Arthur’s heart and empowered the sword in his hands.
It started to glow with a red tint, the temperature in the room starting to go near boiling.
The scaled demi-human clicked his tongue. “Go ahead of me,” he said to the Orcs. “He’ll cut you down if I don’t hold him back. Urgh… whatever. At least this mission will reward me with some merits and Sand Dollars I can spend on my vacation.”
