Reborn as the Genius Son of the Richest Family - Chapter 1174 Following a prisoner

Michael made sure to keep his distance. He was dealing with powers way beyond what he could even understand. The only thing that was even allowing him the confidence to remain unseen was the sliver of Nascent Power in his core. It would beat with an unnatural and uncomfortable rhythm whenever he got too close.
And in the end, he had to travel for hours on end, reaching even the ends of the Royal Continent.
He saw a vast ocean sprawl all around him. Gigantic waves littered the horizon. Vast walls of destructive storms threatened in the far distance. Michael finally understood why travelling by boat in the oceans was so dangerous.
He had now retreated back to his Main Drone, back in the Control Room. It had become his own personal airplane. Though, this was far smaller, which helped in keeping his stealth.
They were fast. Michael could barely keep up. In fact, he had to use his Nascent Power just to keep the Main Drone from lagging too far behind. If he didn’t, even the humongous pillar of power that came out of Huntrax would disappear into a miniature dot in the distance.
And unsurprisingly, their speed became even faster as they traversed through the oceans.
[Permission to use Soo drops to upgrade the Drone’s speed,] ChatJK6 says.
He nods. Immediately, he felt a sense of newfound power as an invisible boundary appeared around the Main Drone, seemingly allowing it to cleave through air, through reality itself, with much more ease than before.
Everything turned into a blur around him.
“Master, where are we going?”
Michael was so focused on keeping Huntrax in his vision that he completely neglected to see who was with him.
Fudge jumped on top of his head and looked at the distant Huntrax on the screen. The Heavenly Shooter and the figure who kidnapped him zipped through the oceans, avoiding tropical thunderstorms like they were little butterflies.
“It’s good that you’re here, actually. Keep me in stealth, will you?”
The little mischievous slime remained mischievous only for one reason: no one could catch him. His stealth was second to none. If it wasn’t, then he would have already been caught by some of the powerful forces that the slime had been toying with for a long time.
“Aye, aye, Master!”
Eventually, they reached an island in the middle of nowhere. Michael didn’t even know where they were now. It was so far away from civilization and the world that he didn’t know where it was on the map of the world.
And on this island, he saw a giant fortress. It reminded him of the infamous prison back in his previous life, one that was deemed to be unassailable and inescapable.
Though, this one looked to fulfill those expectations more than his previous life.
Guards littered the ramparts, keeping a close eye on the oceanic horizon. They kept their eyes focused even as the waves bashed through their walls, creating a white mist that spread throughout their army.
This prison was huge. Even bigger than the Strongholds that they defeated before. Probably four times larger and more defended.
That was to be expected. Imprisoning a Heavenly Knight needed no less.
He slowly piloted the Drone to come closer.
The fact that this prison was filled to the brim with grunt soldiers and Ersatz zombies bode well for his infiltration. This meant that he could easily slip into the crowd and disappear from sight.
He used the Main Drone’s ability to shrink in size, becoming the same size as a bee.
And with the lessened sound, the Drone’s propellers would only be heard if anyone got within a meter of him.
Thankfully, the Drone had a 360 view. He could easily dodge out of the way of anyone who might accidentally bump into him.
He faced a vertical wall, filled with barnacles and green moss. This was where Huntrax’s power signature disappeared off to.
He was 90% sure that the Heavenly Shooter was here, just beyond the wall. Probably manacled with some kind of special equipment that would prevent him from using his real power.
And with the Drone’s ability to simply phase through a wall, he descended into the fortress.
Michael felt his heart thump nervously as the Drone navigated through the thick walls of the fortress. He had to travel quite a long way, noting that Ersatz spent a lot of resources making sure that no one could dig their way out of this place.
Eventually, he reached the deepest part of the Fortress.
And in a dark room, he saw him. Huntrax. The Heavenly Shooter. His arms were raised high, bound by chains strapped to the wall.
He was on his knees, eyes closed. There was no one around him.
“Fudge, can you alert me as soon as someone comes through that door?”
The violet slime nodded. “Of course, Master! I shall do as you say.”
Then, Fudge hopped on over to the giant, steel double doors opposite Huntrax and slipped onto the tight gap underneath.
Michael had a feeling that Fudge would do more than guard the door. But whatever. He would rather unleash the monster here in the Ersatz stronghold rather than anywhere else.
He jumped out of his Mini Drone, his body materializing in front of Huntrax.
The Heavenly Shooter’s eyes slowly opens, shocked. He hears the heartbeat on Michael’s chest. It’s alive. He’s alive. He wasn’t one of those Ersatz zombies.
And Michael looked familiar. He’d seen him before, somewhere.
“Who… who are you?”
Michael approached Huntrax, eyeing the manacles on his wrists.
“Don’t bother,” Huntrax said. “He made sure that I can’t get out anytime soon. You’re him, aren’t you? Michael? The one from Reborn?”
Huntrax remembered what Eldea told him about the boy. About the amazing technologies that he had imparted onto the world.
In fact, the very reason he was able to warn them about the upcoming attack on New Sparta was because of the phone that Eldea gave him.
He never believed it could work. But he tried it out as a last resort. While he was being transported out here in this fortress, he secretly used a little bit of his powers to use the phone and give a brief message.
And somehow, it worked.
It wasn’t supposed to. After all, even his powers as a Heavenly Knight were suppressed by the manacles that bound him now. Yet, that phone’s message was able to go through.
He would have tried to contact the others of a possible rescue operation on him, but it had become far too dangerous. The Grandmaster was watching him. So, he had to destroy the phone.
“Why are you here? Did the Knights send you?” Huntrax shook his head at his own guess. “No, they wouldn’t have endangered others. Why are you here?”
Michael kept observing the manacles. It seemed to be made of some unknown material.
“I’m here to rescue you. Now please tell me how to get you out.”
Huntrax shook his head. “No, it would be better if you return now before they find you here. No one can get me out of these shackles.”
“I just can’t leave you here to die.”
But that didn’t seem a concern to the Heavenly Knight. “They can’t kill me. He won’t kill me. This is just a way to prevent me from joining the fight.”
Despite Huntrax’s words, Michael was still insistent on getting the Heavenly Knight out.
After all, if the Ersatz deem Huntrax too dangerous to be left unfettered, then it was even more important to get him out of his chains. That way, the Heavenly Knight could stop whatever the Ersatz was planning.
“How about Eldea?” Huntrax asked. “She can’t destroy these shackles, but she can destroy the walls that keep me in place.”
Michael shook his head. “She’s currently in New Sparta. She’s fighting off the Ersatz members that are keeping the city in chaos.”
That was true. She was fighting a Nascent Spirit cultivator in the 3rd stage.
Michael was alone too. He had instructed the Dragonborns and his Unity Clones to help the city from being brought to ruins. And they were doing a good job. But as of right now, only he could help Huntrax.
“Is… is the Grandmaster here?”
Huntrax’s eyebrows raised. “So you know him. It’s better if you forget. But you don’t have to worry. He’s not here. He disappeared as soon as he put these shackles on me.
He knows that I won’t go down easily in a fight, which would give others a chance to join the fight. So, he fled. Like the rat he is.”
Michael heaved a sigh of relief. At least now, he didn’t have to worry about being killed by a peak Nascent Spirit cultivator.
“But this place is still dangerous. I have a warden. And he’s in the 3rd stage of the Nascent Spirit realm. A traitor from the elites. You might actually know him. The Tri-star patriarch.”
