Chapter 2012: Important And Mildly Stressful Conversations
—–
I looked at my dad, my brother, and my friends.
If only my brother had not snitched, none of this drama would have happened.
But…
She was not wrong.
Yeah.
I guess it would be a relief if I just told her everything. If I revealed the truth to all of them…
And maybe I was too nice sometimes. Keeping these lies had grown harder for me. They were annoying and constantly reminded me that I was lying to my own family.
“Okay, I’ll show you everything. Master Felicia and Aquarina’s family should come along too. Everyone should,” I said. “We can get this over with once they are all together.”
“So you want to show everyone?” my mother asked.
“It’s better that way. We have snitchers around, so maybe it is best to reveal the truth to everyone right away. Right, brother?” I asked.
“W-Why are you so mad… I already said I was sorry…” he muttered. “I’m sorry, okay? Ugh… don’t get mad at me…”
“It is not about apologizing. It is about the intention behind it, because it feels like you clearly are not sorry!” I said.
“Look, big sis, I have the same logic as you. This is too big to keep secret. You had to tell them eventually,” he said.
“And who are you to decide that? These are my problems, my things. You had no authority to snitch on me!” I said angrily.
“Look, I am your brother! I was worried!” he replied.
“Worried?! You are a kid! Worry about yourself!” I answered.
“Okay, okay, don’t fight,” my father sighed. “That is enough. Let us not turn this into something else entirely.”
“Ugh…” I fell silent.
“…Sorry,” my brother sighed, looking down.
“Haaa…” I groaned. I no longer felt like fighting. “Whatever. Uh, let’s—”
“Lady Faylen, right? You have seen me before, but I guess we have never really spoken much,” Yggdra said, appearing by my side and sitting next to my mother. “I am Sylphy’s familiar as well.”
“Ah yes, I remember you, but… wow,” my mother muttered. “I can feel divinity within you, so much of it! Were you hiding it?!”
“I was. I am a Spirit born from the tree Sylphy raised,” Yggdra explained. “And…”
She told my mother how she had evolved and much more. My mother looked utterly shocked to learn that the little seedling I had once raised had become such a powerful familiar.
“This is incredible,” my mother said. “So you achieved apotheosis by evolving and became… a spirit goddess?”
“An early one. I would not like to brag,” Yggdra smiled. “But within Sylphy’s dungeon and on Cloudia, I have expanded to the point where I resemble Yggdrasil. I have also received her blessings and was once invited to the Avalonian Court.”
“T-The what?!” my mother gasped, almost hyperventilating. “T-That is…! What?! Wait, what?!”
“What is that?” my dad asked, raising an eyebrow.
“T-That is… d-did they invite…?!” my mother asked.
“Of course they invited Sylphy. She is also evolving into a goddess. She has developed divinity and has blessed Aquarina as her saint,” Yggdra revealed.
“Aaahh!” My mother’s eyes rolled back, and she passed out.
“Faylen?!” my father screamed. “Sylphy, what the hell are you two talking about? I am completely in the dark here.”
“Uh…” I looked at Mom. She seemed fine. “Well… How do we explain this?”
“The Avalonian Court is a pantheon built by Yggdrasil and the Divine Spirit Gods,” Yggdra said. “You and Faylen have made contracts with one of the Elemental Spirit Kings, right? They are part of the court.”
“T-They invited you and Sylphy to become part of a pantheon of gods?!” my father screamed in disbelief.
“Not part of it, just invited to meet them,” Yggdra corrected.
“I do not think we could become proper members until… thousands of years later. Do not worry, Dad,” I said.
“A-Ahhh, somehow that does not make it any better. I mean, no, that is incredible. It might be the biggest accomplishment anyone in our family has ever achieved…” he muttered. “Still, it is crazy to think about.”
“It sure is, right?” I chuckled. “But you should not let that get to you. We have a lot of problems to deal with right now. And is Mom ever going to wake up?!”
I quickly asked Alice and Yggdra for help. Together we healed my mother until she opened her eyes again.
“Sorry… I passed out,” she sighed. “I must have been very surprised… What you said, Yggdra, was just too shocking. But I think I can somewhat rationalize it. Still, not even your grandparents have been invited to the Avalonian Court…”
“Ah, really? But they are so strong,” I said.
“Strength has never been the requirement. You need something that cannot be obtained by strength alone,” my mother said. “Divinity born from spirituality.”
“Hm,” Yggdra nodded. “And that is what we have.”
“I suppose it is also thanks to Alice, your unique spirit born from your soul. She has so many unique powers, including the ability to help others grow quickly and evolve, right?” my mother asked.
“I guess you know me well, Faylen,” Alice said, flying to my side.
“I do. By now, I do,” my mother nodded. “Anyway… Enjoy your breakfast, dear. I need some time to get my thoughts together. Once everyone is gathered, let us go to your dungeon.”
After that, I was finally able to enjoy breakfast normally. Aquarina woke up shortly after, as did her parents. Her little sister was also there, roaming around and trying to climb onto the table.
We shared a normal breakfast. Aquarina’s parents were surprised by Scarlet and Sapphire, and then by Yggdra, as we revealed what they had become and more of the truth.
“So we are going to the dungeon to show them her?” Aquarina asked.
“Yep. We are also showing them the first floor anyway, so that should make things less shocking once we reach her realm,” I said with a nod.
“Well, I know I was kind of an ass before, but I support your decisions,” she said with a smile. She hugged me and kissed me all over my face. “Also, you are super cute today. Did I tell you?”
“Heheh, really?” I chuckled, finally relaxing as I got some time with my girlfriend.
“Yep. You woke up looking really beautiful,” she said, kissing my lips. “You are the prettiest girl.”
“Cut it out. It is embarrassing!” I said, resting my face on her chest. Her big breasts pressed softly against my face.
They were so warm and bouncy. It was hard to resist the urge to grope them right there in front of her parents.
Damn it. I even wanted to suck on them. That always relieved any stress.
Maybe tonight.
“Heheh, why is it embarrassing to spoil my baby girl?” she said, kissing my lips and teasing my tongue. “They are still busy, so do you want to take a break in your room?”
“Oh…” I muttered, swallowing hard. “Hm… okay~”
We stealthily slipped upstairs while Yggdra, Scarlet, Sapphire, and Alice kept all the attention of our parents.
