Chapter 2014: Exploring The Dungeon’s First Floor With The Entire Family
—–
After our sexy and intimate time with Aquarina, we quickly dressed and rushed out of my room to rejoin our family. Master Felicia narrowed her eyes the moment she saw us, covered in sweat and smelling slightly suspicious.
“Hmm…” She looked at us with clear suspicion. “I am not even going to ask what you were doing, but please save that for another time. Not when you have important things to do…”
“S-Sorry!” I cried.
“Yeah… s-sorry…” Aquarina mumbled, her face flushed with embarrassment.
Once we rejoined our families and friends, we entered my dungeon.
The moment we reached Floor 1 and those who had not seen it yet witnessed the changes, they lost their minds.
“Woooaaaahh!” my father screamed in disbelief. “What the hell?! Wasn’t this all grasslands and forests before?! It’s freaking huge now! There is no fake sky or invisible magic barrier! It is like a whole planet! How is this possible?!”
“I am asking the same thing myself…!” my mother exclaimed. “This is incredible, beyond anything I ever imagined! Sylphy, your dungeon has turned into a planet?!”
“I-I don’t even know what to say right now… Just wow,” Shade said, gazing around in awe. “Incredible…”
“Woooah! Wooohoooo!” Nepheline shouted, her voice echoing across the cliffs and vast, noisy jungles. “This is freaking awesome, Sylphy! I have missed the jungle so much! The air is so fresh and clean! And the sun… Is it real sunlight now?! Even better! I kind of want to run around, climb trees, jump into a river, swim, and catch fish right now! Wait, why can’t we do that?”
“I-I don’t know. We are on an important mission right now…” my mother said, though her voice wavered. “We should… Ahh, yeah, the air is divine. This place really makes you want to take the day off.”
“Well, we cleared several dungeons yesterday and we have a couple of weeks,” I suggested. “Why not take one day off? Right, guys?”
“Yeah!” Lara nodded enthusiastically. “I wouldn’t mind relaxing today! The spirits feel so calm here!”
“It is like a beautiful scenery straight out of a painting,” my brother said. “Let’s spend the day here, Mom, Dad.”
“I want to explore more!” Celica added, her eyes sparkling with excitement.
“We could go on a trip or something. What do you think, Ruby?” Celeste asked.
“Eh, sounds like a good idea, all things considered,” Ruby nodded.
“I guess it is decided then,” my father said. “Faylen?”
“Fine…” she sighed, though a small smile tugged at her lips. “They did finish those dungeons incredibly fast. Let us see this land. We will fly, though. Is that big tree where you live, Yggdra?”
“Yeah, that is where I exist,” Yggdra nodded. “And there is also a little surprise you should see.”
Ah, she is talking about the baby, isn’t she?
“She is talking about the baby,” Aquarina whispered in my ear.
“I know…” I rolled my eyes. “Andromeda is definitely something important that needs to be revealed too.”
We took flight using a flight spell, rising high into the sky and admiring the breathtaking beauty of the land and nature below.
The roar of distant waterfalls echoed through the air. Large flocks of colorful birds soared overhead. Singing birds filled the canopies while countless animals roamed and climbed through the trees. Monsters and spirits moved together peacefully in this vibrant land rich with spiritual energy and magic. Calm seas sparkled in the distance, almost inviting. Tropical beaches waited below, perfect for a future barbecue.
We first reached the great tree and landed in the jungle nearby.
We wandered through the lush greenery with joy. Aquarina, Nepheline, and Esmeralda roamed happily, climbing and leaping from branch to branch.
“This is awesome! Woohoooo!” Nepheline shouted as she ran and jumped between trees, letting the wind rush past her.
“Mama, wait!” Esmeralda called, scampering after her mother like a little monkey.
“Hahaha! Come on!” Aquarina laughed, grabbing my hand and dragging me along as she leaped effortlessly from tree to tree.
We reached the final cliff. She jumped down with her mother and sister.
“Waaaahhhhh!”
We screamed with exhilaration as the wind whipped across our bodies. I looked out at the vastness of this world and felt every worry melt away.
“Hahahaha!”
I laughed freely, forgetting everything that had been troubling me and simply living in the moment.
As we fell, Nepheline caught Esmeralda and let the little girl climb onto her shoulders. We used float magic and glided gently downward instead of landing.
Eventually the rest of the group caught up, and we all reached Yggdra’s second main body and the vast Kingdom of Eden. There, the Arboren had grown, evolved, and multiplied, living in even greater harmony with nature than before.
“So even the town of the plant people has gotten bigger,” my father observed.
“Yeah!” I said. “Let’s visit it!”
“Wait, should we?” my mother asked, sounding worried, but we dragged her along anyway.
We ran into the city, greeting many of the plant folk who were going about their daily lives. My friends explored freely while our parents watched with interest and interacted with the locals. Many of the Arboren had never seen us before, so they stared in shock at the sight of humans and other humanoid races.
We bought food from the stalls using spirit stones as currency and enjoyed candied fruits and delicious dishes made from fresh vegetables and ripe fruit.
Eventually, after enough nagging from my mother, we made our way back to the great tree.
There, we admired its majesty before stepping into its internal soul realm. We greeted Yggdra, who stood holding a baby in her arms.
“Welcome. This is the inner spiritual realm of my soul,” she said calmly. “Faylen, this is my child, Andromeda. She is this Dungeon’s Avatar, and I have allowed her to be born as a god.”
“A-Andromeda?!” my mother gasped, staring at the child in disbelief. “You are telling me you gave birth to a baby god?!”
“Incredible… She became a spirit goddess and immediately gave birth to another?” Nepheline asked, laughing. “This is definitely quite something…!”
“It is… I suppose so,” Shade muttered.
“It is shocking,” my father said. “Um, so her name is Andromeda. What sort of ’god’ is she?”
“She is technically not a full spirit god, as she possesses a physical body,” Yggdra explained. “I created her to be unique, a bridge between the gods above and the gods of this planet. She is a little dungeon goddess.”
“Dungeon goddess?! Like the evil god of dungeons?” my mother asked. “So she holds the same authority!”
“Wait, isn’t this good news? With her here, we could ask her to slowly suppress that bastard’s power,” my father suggested.
“Yeah,” I nodded. “About that, I have also learned how to refine dungeon cores and strip away the control he has over them. This could weaken him over time as well.”
“…?!”
