- Chapter 728 - 728: Challenges, Red Haired Werewolf Girl version (part 4)

Even from afar the devil eel pirate could feel his body trembling at the appearance of the massive red energy wolf, but what was really driving him crazy right now wasn’t that.
‘P-Partial domain, are you kidding me, wasn’t that damn wolf her domain!!!’, screamed the devil eel pirate in his heart.
Originally, a part of the reason as to why those two didn’t feel despair despite the fact that Arianna has been besting them at every given chance, even when they used their domains and their altar spells, is that they believed the red energy wolf to have been her domain somehow altered to not go against the restrictions in the Blood Prison realm.
So, in their minds, Arianna has been fighting with her Arch rank trait from the very beginning, she just was getting more used to it as time passed, but the moment this patch of red sky appeared, the devil eel pirate could instantly tell that they were wrong.
The red energy wolf was completely independent from Arianna’s domain, though her domain indeed affected the red energy wolf as its towering three-hundred-meter current size, suggested.
Speaking of which, with a wave of Arianna’s hand, the right paw of the red giant wolf which was way bigger than the whole body of the lizard in which the other pirate had transformed, descended towards him.
“Crack!”, despite the pirate having transformed into a magic beast of some sort, he still had his domain surrounding him, so the wolf’s paw first made contact with the domain only for it to… directly break through the thing in a single go.
The lizard didn’t even have a chance to scream due to the backlash of having his domain destroyed just like that though, he was crushed alongside the black metal spikes surrounding him, killing him on the spot.
“Booooom!”, the impact blasted away the rest of the domain and also turned the lizard into blood mist, the enemy was killed with just that.
“Humph”, having killed the first enemy, Arianna who saw the devil eel pirate jumping into the black water river from the corner of her eyes, before she killed the other pirate, softly snorted, under her orders, the massive red energy wolf started running through the air, accompanied by a patch of red sky.
The devil eel pirate who felt the connection between Rigle and himself disappear in a second not too later after he turned around to flee, nearly lost it.
‘Why, what went wrong, why did Rigle suddenly lost his damn mind and how the hell did she kill him so fast!’, he screamed to his insides as he poured more mana into his movement spell, he was moving at high speed underwater trying to get as far from the battlefield as possible.
But then, as if a nightmare had become a reality, a voice he never wanted to hear again in his life, reached his ears.
“You guys honestly never stood a chance, but overstimulating your lineages was the worst possible choice you could have done, becoming irrational in a fight is a grave mistake after all”.
Earlier, just by calling him a fool, the lizard pirate lost reason and directly charged towards Arianna, this was caused because the pirate’s magic beast’s instincts took over.
And there was a second flaw with their idea to use their lineage’s reinforcement as a method to manifest their domains without dying, in the world of magic beasts that lack wisdom, submission towards a stronger magic beast is normal.
So, the lizard became unable to resist against the “alpha wolf” in front of him, he could only watch in terror how the giant paw destroy his domain before lights went out for him.
As to why the devil eel pirate was different, he simply had the luck of having a stronger mentality and a much calmer personality than his teammate, but even that had hit its limit.
“Hsssss!”, a loud crackling sound could be heard as a ten-meter sized eel with protruding teeth jumped out of the black water river, to then charge towards the massive red giant wolf which was approaching from distance.
The pirate’s desire for survival made him unconsciously stimulate his lineage more, which resulted in him losing his mind and transforming into a magic beast as well.
“Boooom!”, with a swing of the wolf’s right paw, five giant slashing lights flew towards the eel, cutting its body in five parts to then land on the ground destroying a large extension of the black water river as they landed.
“That’s why master’s training put a lot of focus in mental fortitude, being devoured by your own lineage’s instincts, what a disgrace for a magic beast related race”, said Arianna, to then descend from the sky.
Anyone with a lineage could forcefully stimulate it with spells, martial arts or simply mana and battle aura, in a rush that could work as a life-saving mean, however if their minds couldn’t keep up with the previous, there is a chance they’ll go berserk and won’t be able to come back, in which case the only solution is death.
Such cases used to be common within the Argent family, which is full of muscle heads who value strength above everything else, until Aura changed how things worked.
Sure, the werewolves are still free to fight, train and be muscle idiots as they like, however they are forbidden from relying in their lineages for that, only after having proved their minds to be strong enough, can they run wild and in case you wonder why do they obediently follow the rules, they don’t, they originally simply didn’t have any other option, Aura’s lineage is abysmally much more concentrated and stronger than theirs, so at instinct level they are subordinated to her.
Of course, nowadays, the willingly follow Aura as she has proven herself to be a formidable warrior and an excellent matriarch who has led the Argent family to greatness, but let’s leave that aside for now and focus back in Arianna.
The giant red wolf as well as her partial domain dissipated into countless red light particles the next second and the werewolf girl whose hair, ears and tail had remained red colored took a deep breath.
‘Though I said that, it looks like master is going to scold me later…’, thought Arianna as she saw a red vein-like pattern start extending with her hands as the origin.
What her partial domain did is very simple, it amplified her vitality which is why the red wolf suddenly grew so much, and in case you have forgot about, the red energy wolf is condensed with the excess, so she now had a massive amount of vitality running inside her body, and her werewolf lineage was starting to run wild against her wishes.
Still, just as Arianna was about start using her claws to attack herself in order to release the vitality she couldn’t reign in, her body started shinning in a dazzling silver light.
“I don’t know if I should feel thankful or offended…”, mumbled the werewolf girl as she got sleepy to then enter the land of dreams, the previous was because the silver light turned into chains that started multiplying and tightening around Arianna who had fell to the ground in her sleep.
“Crack!”, the next second, red burning light started coming out of the werewolf girl’s body, condensing in a four-meter sized but completely detailed version of the red giant wolf, it looked like a normal energy construction from the outside but, bones, muscles, veins, even blood, there were energy versions of all the previous in the wolf’s body and at its chest, the werewolf girl was sweetly sleeping.
“Awooooo!”, the wolf howled to the sky momentarily fighting in a try and escape the restriction of the silver energy chains, before its previous wild appearance vanished, ultimately laying down on the ground to then accommodate itself to sleep, while still secured to the ground thanks to the silver energy chains.
That is Arianna’s rewarding procedure by the way, it’s just that the wolf wasn’t allowed to run wild by Daimon’s energy, as it could lead to the werewolf girl harming herself unconsciously.
And with that, the last of the teammate’s fights had come to an end, but the battle was still ongoing, because while Tessa, Femi, Dana, Badr, Lyn and Arianna were resting and accepting their respective rewards from the Blood Prison realm, quite a bit far from the jungle where their fights took place, there was a brutal clash in process.
…
“Booooom!”, a black mana star collided in the air against a silver energy one, resulting in a huge explosion swallowing everything in the vicinity, the black mana corroded and melted things upon exposition while the silver energy simply destroyed them through impact, but the result was similar, a huge crater appearing where the collision took place.
Marcus who came out of the black mana star a second later, had a vein bulging on his forehead as he glared at the masked silver haired man in front of him.
“You fucking bastard, what the hell did you do!”, shouted the devil ruler system user at Daimon, the reason behind his anger is that he felt the last two connections between himself and the subordinates he had brought into the Blood Prison realm, fade away just a second ago.
In case you wonder why didn’t Marcus suspect something was wrong with his subordinates until now, don’t forget that there wasn’t that big of a difference in the time between their deaths.
Also, Marcus could tell when an altar spell was activated, so he simply thought that the interference of the Blood Prison realm had gotten stronger in the area where his subordinates were fighting, due to that.
But, now that Arianna killed the last of his subordinates, the power he had bestowed upon the barriers of the altar spells, returned to him, as it had no one to go to now, so no matter how conceited Marcus might be, he had no choice but to accept that all his subordinates were dead.
‘This doesn’t make any fucking sense, I can understand some idiots dying without even sending an emergency message, but either the panther and more importantly the snake should have known better, Lezabel, do you know what the hell is going on, did that Adam bastard arrive and is using a treasure to hide his presence from me!!!’, yelled Marcus to his insides.
Only for the black-haired ghost-like administrator who has been watching the fight with an amused expression on her face while in her incorporeal form from afar, to say.
‘Who cares, this fight is more interesting, to think that masked guy can clash head on against your devil mana using only the energy given by this place, is he that strong or are you perhaps… growing weaker’, said the administrator, her red eyes shone in a blood colored light, which made Marcus feel a shiver run down his spine.
‘Damn it, at least tell me if that damn hero bastard is here or not’, he said, not wanting to press his administrator past the most basic “duties” she has to fulfill.
‘Tsk, no, he is not here, now focus in continuing fighting that interesting guy, unless you want to die either at his or my hands’, said Lezabel.
The previous exchange seemed long, but it didn’t take even a second, and that was enough for Daimon to be in front of Marcus once again, which is why Lezabel told him to focus in the fight if he didn’t want to die, of course that wasn’t the administrator being worried about Marcus, she simply was interested in watching the fight.
“Don’t get ahead of yourself!”, seeing the incoming silver energy clad fist, Marcus answered with his own punch.
“Clang!”, the black mana clad on Marcus’s clawed gauntlets was destroyed resulting in the sound of metals colliding as well as sparks when Daimon’s fist reached the black metal gauntlets.
“Hssss!”, direct contact between the silver energy covering Daimon’s fist and the black metal gauntlets, resulted in black smoke and sizzling sounds being produced.
“Damn it, Black Devil Shredding Hand!”, feeling the armor on his gauntlets growing thinner with each second that they were in direct contact with the enemy’s silver energy, Marcus cursed to then cast a spell in order to break the stalemate.
“Crack!”, a black magic circle appeared on the ground below both Daimon and Marcus before a twenty-meter sized gray hand with black claws condensed from mana emerged from the ground engulfing both Daimon and Marcus.
Or at least that’s what it looked like until Daimon appeared a dozen of meters away from where the mana hand had appeared, the thing crumbled apart the next second to reveal Marcus who was unscathed, his spell didn’t affect him apparently, though there was now a deep crater around where he was standing.
Still while Marcus obviously didn’t like the fact that the enemy had dodged his attack, he had achieved what he wanted, a moment to cast his next spell.
“Black Devil Bone Arrows!”, with a snap of Marcus’s fingers, countless black bone arrows appeared in front of him to then fly towards Daimon, covering an area large enough so that he couldn’t dodge.
“Clang!”, but then to Marcus’s displease, Daimon simply stood there and used his open palm which was clad in silver light to stop any arrow that could have landed on him, just like before, upon contact, his black mana crumbled apart in front of the silver light.
‘Damn it, what the hell is that silver energy anyway’, thought Marcus to then bite on his thumb and draw a line with his blood on his forehead.
“Black Devil Crown!”, the fresh blood shone in a black light for a second before familiar-looking black flames suddenly exploded above Marcus’s head to then take the form of a crown, those were the same flames that attacked Badr and Arianna when they tore through the barriers of the altar spells.
With renewed confidence Marcus closed his hands a couple of times to then channel mana into his gauntlets, this time however his mana took a black flame form instead of the previous simple black light he was using.
“Black Hell Step!”, black flames lit up around Marcus’s legs before he disappeared from plain sight the next second, making Daimon frown.
‘It’s not a boosting spell, his darkness affinity outright changed’, he thought, it was strange that Marcus’s mana was losing so easily against his silver energy, but now it made sense, he had distributed a part of his power to his subordinates and that power simply had returned to him.
“Let’s see how you fare against my Hell Darkness devil mana!”, Marcus who became visible above Daimon used his right fist to punch towards his head, to which Daimon answered with his own right fist.
“Boooom!”, the fists collided and a thunderous shockwave was produced as their energies clashed on the air between Daimon and Marcus, contrary to before, the silver energy didn’t directly suppress the darkness mana so Daimon couldn’t reach the black metal gauntlets below the black flames, that being said Marcus’s smile of sufficiency disappeared as soon as it was forming as a sensation of danger invaded his mind.
“Shatter Step”, Daimon raised his right foot to then stomp it on the ground making the solid black soil explode.
“Crack!”, the sudden physical impact forced Marcus to flash away on the spot, there was an expression of disbelief on his face, for a proper reason, Daimon had used a martial art without using battle aura nor other energy to power it.
‘How is his damn leg still in a single piece after that!’, angrily thought the devil ruler system user to then regain his cool, from his point of view Daimon is a metal and light affinity knight, so he attributed the previous to a combination of a tough body and high self-healing which came from said elements.
Under normal circumstances that wouldn’t be far from truth, however, Daimon was following the rules of the Blood Prison realm as much as he could, therefore he wasn’t using any other energy besides the silver one which is actually element-less.
Despite the violent reaction it shows when in contact with anything from the negative side of the energy spectrum, and its silvery light form, it doesn’t have neither light nor metal element mixed into it.
And at the same time, it still comes with amazing properties, like healing, cleansing, enhancing and the like.
“Getting serious now aren’t we, are you sure you don’t want to call Adam, this is only the base level of our preparation fights”, said Marcus, until a moment ago Daimon had just been fighting him with normal punches, kicks and the like, but now that he had changed to use his advanced darkness affinity, the masked enemy changed to use martial arts.
“I don’t need to, but I’m sure those dead fools surely called out for you before my friends killed them”, said Daimon, he still wanted to maintain the image of being someone related to Adam who has gone rogue for his own ambitions.
“Black Devil…”, naturally being told that to the face wasn’t to Marcus liking, but just as he was casting an attack type spell, he saw Daimon disappear from his line of sight.
“Crack!”, the ground where Daimon was standing exploded the next second and Daimon himself appeared next to Marcus.
“Swift Step”, the martial arts that Daimon could use without any battle aura were basic ones, basically increasing impact, or speed was the limit, earlier he created a shockwave to force Marcus to retreat, but this time he increased his own speed by tensing his legs to then shoot himself towards the enemy.
“Agh!”, the increase in speed took Marcus by surprise which resulted in him taking a punch to the face, of course he defended by exploding in black flames which clashed against the silver energy that is always covering Daimon even if not visible.
“Boooom!”, like water and hot oil, Marcus mana and Daimon’s silver energy violently reacted with each other, causing an explosion that ended up forcing both of them in opposite directions.
However, that wasn’t a tie, because Marcus had a fist mark on the right side of his face, which made the ghost-like administrator girl to laugh out loud as she said.
‘Pfft, I can’t, if “Hell Darkness” was everything it would take for you to win, then those useless pirates of yours wouldn’t have died less than an hour into the fight, come on at least use the book or maybe the dagger~’.
‘Shut up, would I have needed to wait so long for my power to return if you had supported me like Adam’s administrator does, instead of demanding “entertainment” every damn time as payment!’, exclaimed Marcus with an incensed voice.
He was already in a horrible mood, and listening to his administrator laughing and mocking him like usual even though he is here fighting, only further angered him, black flames gathered in front of him as a black book with chains on it appeared on his hands.
“Black Devil Grimoire”.
