Shadows of the Deep Space - Chapter 1731 - 546: Public Execution (Part 2)

Chapter 1731: Chapter 546: Public Execution (Part 2)
“Mm, full speed ahead to Heavenly Revelation Divine Country.”
Su Ming replied calmly.
“Yes!”
Timi nodded in agreement.
…
Several days later.
Second New Galaxy·Ankaniha Planet Sea.
The pitch-black starry sky began to ripple, as the Star Destroyer·Thunder Extreme emerged from subspace.
Inside the central control room.
Timi reported to Su Ming.
“Lord Su Ming, we have entered the rear of Heavenly Revelation Divine Country and reached the designated coordinates.”
“Mm, send the encrypted signal at this frequency.”
Su Ming raised his wrist and sent the signal frequency he had agreed upon with An Ruoxue to Timi.
“Understood!”
Timi immediately executed the command.
Su Ming sat quietly in the command chair, waiting.
One hour, two hours, in the blink of an eye, ten hours had passed.
Thunder Extreme did not receive any feedback signal.
Ankaga and others were drowsy from waiting.
“Lord Su Ming, we’ve received no response. Should we continue sending the signal?”
Timi asked Su Ming worriedly.
Although the technology of Heavenly Revelation Divine Country isn’t very advanced, making discovery theoretically unlikely, continually sending signals poses considerable risk.
“No need, there must be some problem.”
Su Ming said with a grave expression.
“So, what should we do now? Where do we find them?”
Timi asked softly.
“Go to Kamoto Planet·Canite Base City.”
Su Ming pondered for a moment before speaking.
“Understood!”
Timi quickly proceeded with the operation.
…
A few hours later.
Thunder Extreme navigated through one asteroid after another, reached Kamoto Planet, passed through its grey atmosphere, and landed in the wilderness outside Canite Base City.
The optical imaging device presented Canite Base City.
The entire city remained old and dilapidated.
“Boss, what are we doing in this godforsaken place?”
Zhang Yi curiously asked while looking at the rundown base city.
“Looking for someone, all of you stay on the ship.”
Su Ming stood up from the command chair and addressed Zhang Yi and the others.
“Don’t we need to accompany you?”
Ankaga asked with some concern.
“No need, I have Symbiotic Armor that can cloak me; it’s more convenient to act alone. If there’s any issue, I’ll notify you immediately.”
Su Ming said to the two.
“Alright!”
Ankaga and the others nodded.
Su Ming turned and left the central control room.
…
Not long after.
Su Ming, covered entirely in Dragon Scale Armor, activated stealth mode and appeared on a rundown building in Canite City.
He stood on the rooftop observing the city.
All he saw were streets with dirty, ragged beggars.
Only a few scattered shops were open along the streets.
Arrogant guards wearing outdated exoskeleton armor walked by. If any unwary civilians blocked their path, they were kicked over, accompanied by cursing sounds.
“Old fools!”
…
Su Ming glanced at the guards’ faces, all unfamiliar to him.
These people were not his subordinates, suggesting that the city’s leadership had changed.
Su Ming exhaled slightly, then jumped off the building, quickly heading towards a sewer entrance.
More than half an hour later.
Su Ming expertly navigated through the sewer to reach the underground residential area.
There, he found the underground area empty, without a single soul in sight.
Su Ming’s heart sank slightly, activated the scanning device, and discovered everyone gathered at the central square.
He promptly headed towards the square.
At the central square.
Wicket, Jieva, and others, dressed in rags, were reverently beseeching a statue along with the civilians.
“God, show your presence!”
“Please help your faithful believers.”
…
The crowd continuously kowtowed to the statue.
Su Ming stood in a corner, watching the group bow in increasing silence. He then approached the statue they worshiped, unmasked, and revealed himself.
Wicket and the others were startled, and upon seeing the sudden appearance of a figure in advanced symbiotic armor, they showed terrified expressions.
“Have we been exposed?”
It wasn’t surprising that Wicket and the others were terrified, as someone wearing such advanced gear is typically a general of the Heavenly Revelation Divine Country.
Then Su Ming removed the covering armor, revealing his face with a smile and said.
“It’s me!”
“Lord Su Ming!”
“Is it really you?”
…
Wicket and the others gathered around joyfully.
“Don’t be excited, it’s obviously me, but why are you all hiding here? And the King’s Army and Divine Word Legion? Why can’t I find them?”
Su Ming asked with a smile.
Wicket and the others fell into silence after hearing Su Ming’s words.
“Wicket, what’s really happened?”
Su Ming asked Wicket.
“My lord, it’s like this! Shortly after you left, Fanluo God Emperor was enraged, and dispatched large troops to totally encircle us. Misak and Froco, those two traitors, even allied with Dusaka Vice Archbishop to help with the siege. We sustained heavy casualties, and our survival space kept shrinking. Eventually, a traitor emerged within the Divine Word Legion, and the troops were surrounded by Heavenly Revelation Divine Country. The King’s Army led troops to rescue us, but the opponent was able to maneuver Chilami, causing the King’s Army to also be surrounded. Ultimately, Emkaine Bishop was captured, the Divine Word Legion disbanded, and many were killed or fled.”
Wicket said to Su Ming with despondency.
“What did you say? The King’s Army was surrounded too? Did they manage to break out at last?”
Su Ming’s heart skipped a beat, promptly asking.
“I’m not sure. After the defeat that day, we were pushed back.”
