Rose and the others looked at Dorothy with a worried look after I said this, but it seemed like she was much more stable than we expected.

There wasn’t even a single fluctuation that was on Dorothy’s face when she heard this.

It was as if she had received the most normal piece of news ever.

But then again, this was to be expected since it wasn’t as if we would leave those people alone.

If they came for our daughter, it was only natural that we would take care of them.

Since she didn’t need any comforting, I continued by saying, “As for the others, I’ve managed to convince them that Dorothy’s power still has value. So for now, they’re willing to accept leaving her in my care.”

After saying this, I turned to Dorothy with an apologetic look.

After all, the way that I had said this was almost as if Dorothy was nothing more than a tool.

“I don’t mind.” She said with a genuine smile on her face.

I could see that she understood why I did this, but that still made me feel guilty towards her for treating her like this. Only I wasn’t able to do anything else since this was what was needed right now.

Once she was sure that Dorothy was fine, Rose asked, “What happens now?”

All of them turned to look at me once more after Rose asked this, but I didn’t answer right away. Instead, I just furrowed my brows as I fell into deep thought on this matter.

After all, I really didn’t know what we should do at this point either.

I had some ideas, but it wasn’t as if I had formed any actual plans yet.

When the situation was like this, it really was hard for me to formulate any actual plans.

But it wasn’t as if this was something that could be stalled since it was pressing.

After a long silence, I finally said, “For now, you just have to focus on getting stronger and learning to control that power of yours.”

The moment that I said this, I could see the frowns that appeared on their faces.

Though when it came to Dorothy, it didn’t seem like she was against this.

She just seemed surprised by what I said before giving a nod to show that she understood.

However, even if Dorothy understood, it wasn’t as if the others would be as understanding.

“What do you mean by this?” It was a simple question that was asked, but the tone that Rose asked this in showed that there was more behind this question. Though even if she didn’t use this tone, I would have already known what she was referring to.

“I can’t take care of them alone. Or at least I’m not confident enough to do so.” I honestly said to them.

What followed were surprised looks on their faces before those expressions became complicated. There were many emotions that went through their eyes, but the one that showed the most was shock.

After all, they thought that I would be able to deal with the forces of Destruction by growing stronger.

“The other side is a god, I’m just able to match them.” I said with a wry smile.

After another moment of silence, they slowly nodded in agreement before their expressions became more complicated. Only this time, it seemed like there was a bit of guilt that appeared in their eyes.

They looked at me with apologetic looks as if they were sorry for pushing everything on me.

With a sigh, I said, “I’ll do what I can, but I’m just one person. It’s not as if I can do everything alone. That’s why I’m hoping that this will be nothing more than a worst case scenario.”

All of them slowly nodded in agreement before Rose said, “Just do what you can.”

This summarized what they were all thinking.

Dorothy on the other hand seemed excited about the fact that I was telling her to become stronger.

It seemed like after the experience that she had undergone, she had become much more confident.

“Why are you like this?”

“You can leave it to me.” Dorothy said while slapping her chest with one hand.

“Aren’t you afraid of losing control?” I asked in a serious voice.

“As long as I have you and all my moms believing in me, I won’t lose control.” Dorothy said in a firm voice that made us feel a bit embarrassed.

However, it seemed like she was serious about this.

From the way that she said this, it seemed like she had figured out something about her power that would let her tame it to a certain extent. That was a good thing if that was indeed the case, but it made us feel a bit complicated.

“Child, you don’t have to fight if you shouldn’t have to fight. It should be the job of adults to protect you.” I said while patting Dorothy on the head.

Everyone all said the same thing to her after I said this.

Dorothy didn’t say anything as she listened to us, but then she added, “But I want to protect you all too.”

Rose came forward to take Dorothy in her arms before saying, “It’s good enough that you feel this way, but let us do our jobs as parents.”

All of us nodded in agreement to this while Rose hugged her.

Dorothy had a look on her face that showed she understood and that she even wanted to be protected like a child would, but there was also a part of her that seemed to still want to protect us all.

Still, it was good enough that she had this thought.

“For now, just focus on gaining control of your power. We need to make sure to show everyone that you have control over it before you can even do anything.”

Dorothy gave a motivated nod when she heard this.
