Strongest Mage with the Lust system - Chapter 912: Sanya’s Strange Actions

Chapter 912: Sanya’s Strange Actions
’I wonder if that bear killed those two too?’ Max thought, remembering Jacob and Alison.
He didn’t know exactly what he should feel about them.
Just as he was about to get lost in thoughts, he felt the presence of people nearby, and snapped back to his senses.
Then, he began trying to open his eyes, but failed.
…
’Hm? I lost consciousness again?’ Max thought after regaining consciousness after an undetermined amount of time later.
He felt his body once again and to his relief, found that he was no longer feeling numb all over.
Immediately, he began trying to open his eyes.
A few moments later, he was able to move his eyelids that seemed to have been glued together and slowly opened his eyes.
After adjusting to the dim light of the cave, he opened his mouth and called out, “Hello?”
Swoosh!
Just a moment later, his young servant boy rushed in, a happy look on his face. “You woke you, Milord. Let me inform Elder Milo.”
“Mm. Help me sit up first and give me something to eat” Max said, forcing a smile.
“Ah, right away, Milord.”
…
Half an hour later, Max had a light meal and felt a little energised.
“Should I inform Elder Milo now, Milord?” asked the servant boy, standing to the side with his hands folded in front of him.
Max glanced at him and asked, “What’s your name?”
“It’s Dan Davoch, Milord.”
“Dan, from now on, don’t call me Milord. Call me young lord or something.” said Max.
“As you wish, Mi–Young Lord.” Dan promptly changed the address.
“Go ahead. Inform him.” Max ordered.
He initially wanted to ask him news of the past two weeks, but he hadn’t left the vicinity of the cave abode and was thus not up to date with the things.
Not long after, Elder Milo arrived.
Seeing him, he smiled, “I have good news for you. Disciple Rima is almost completely recovered.”
“Mm. Thank you for your care, Elder.” Max nodded, a longing to see her rising within him. He knew, while she might have recovered, she mustn’t be feeling well at the moment.
Elder Milo lightly nodded in acknowledgement. Then, he carefully asked, “Can you… recover to your peak?”
Max smiled, “Yes. It won’t be a problem.”
Elder Milo’s brows furrowed, “You sure?”
“Yes,” nodded Max, but inwardly, he sighed.
After what he had done to save Rima, he wasn’t sure if he could recover fully because he didn’t even know what exactly he had lost, but the peak Elder Milo was asking was the prowess he had shown in the battle against Isolde.
No matter what might have happened, he knew regaining that strength shouldn’t be too difficult. After all, he had mainly utilized his Laws and Crimson Dragon Spell… not his Lust Overlord Bloodline.
“That’s good. Otherwise it would have been a pity.” Elder Milo breathed out, looking relieved.
Max smiled, appreciating his concern for him.
“No rush, but try to recover within two weeks if possible.” Elder Milo said,
“Why? Is something going to happen in two weeks?” Max asked, curious.
“Yes.” Elder Milo nodded and elaborated, “For some reason, a few days after your battle, Elder Blood Flower suddenly attacked a few families and organizations, and killed all their top experts. She then issued the mission for the disciple to hunt down the survivors. The rewards she offered were very generous. Thanks to them, several disciples who had been stuck at some bottleneck, broke through them. Even several core disciples had made significant progress.”
“She has announced that she will be issuing another mission in two weeks and everyone should be ready to move at a moment’s notice.” Continued Elder Milo, “If you can participate it in, your strength should also increase drastically thanks to the rewards.”
“I see,” Max nodded in understanding. Then, with a thoughtful look on his face, he asked, “You don’t know why she attacked those forces, Elder?”
“No,” Elder Milo shook his head, “Only the Grand Elders and Venerable Hall Master might know.”
“Has the Inner Hall Master done anything out of the ordinary after my battle?” Max asked,
“No.” Elder Milo said, but then seemed to have remembered something and added, “Oh, right. I heard he condemned Elder Blood Flower for reckless actions after she attacked those forces, but I don’t know if that’s true or not. After all, after what happened earlier, he should be keeping a low profile.”
Max kept silent. He didn’t know much about what was going on behind the scenes, but he felt Sanya wasn’t attacking forces randomly. These forces might have some relationship, direct or indirect, with Lord Grimheart and she was attacking him by annihilating them.
The reason he thought was because he didn’t believe Sanya would endure the humiliation she faced that day when she failed to stop Lord Grimheart from interfering in the Life and Death Battle.
’It would be best if I’m right.’ He thought, his eyes glinting coldly. He wasn’t strong enough to deal with him himself, but he didn’t want him to be at ease. If Sanya was creating some trouble for him, he was all for it.
That said…
He looked at Elder Milo and said, “Elder, can you relay a request of mine to Grand Elder Rowan?”
“Oh, sure. Tell me what it is.” Elder Milo nodded.
“To recover, I need Mana Crystals and something that can nourish and replenish blood energy.” Max said.
“Haha, no need to bother Grand Elder with such a small matter. I’ll handle it for you.” Elder Milo laughed, then offered, “How about I take you to the medical hall. While you meet disciple Rima, I’ll gather the things you need.”
Max shook his head, “I can’t meet her just yet, Elder. So, please just go ahead and arrange the resources for me.”
“Sure.” Elder Milo nodded in understanding and left.
Just as Max was about to get lost in his thoughts, he heard Dan’s voice.
“Mm. Young Lord, I have something to tell you.”
“Hm? Tell me.” Max looked at him, curious.
