Strongest Mage with the Lust system - Chapter 916: Visiting

Chapter 916: Visiting
’I’ll have to find out what it is.’ He thought, and without wasting any time, stood up and deactivated the cave’s formations and walked out.
“Greetings, Young Lord. I hope your cultivation session was good.” Dan greeted him with a bow. Only then did he notice Max’s complexion had improved significantly even though he was still as thin as before.
“Yes, it was good. Thank you.” nodded Max, then took a seat outside the cave on a stone chair and said, “Tell me how the Beast Emperor Hall works.”
“Yes, Young Lord.” Dan nodded, thought for a moment, then told him everything he knew about the Beast Emperor Hall.
The main and most powerful was the Core Hall where only the Core Disciples, or someone like him who was favored by some high ranking Elders, were allowed to cultivate.
Then, there was Inner Hall and Outer Hall where Inner disciples and outer disciples cultivated.
Generally, every disciple below the Five Star realm was an outer hall disciple.
When they broke through to the Five Star realm, they could apply to become inner hall disciples. Of course, there were exceptions—some talented disciples could be directly recruited into the Inner Hall or even the Core Hall even regardless of their cultivation realms.
Every disciple was allowed to take some monthly resources from the Hall. If you need more resources, you have to buy them with Merit Points.
→Merits Points could be earned from two prominent sources—the missions and ranking battles.
Each hall has a ranking leaderboard.
Outer Hall→Bronze Rankings
Inner Hall→Silver Rankings
Core Hall→Gold Rankings
Those who were ranked in their respective rankings not only received a fixed amount of Merit Points monthly and were respected, they also received various kinds of other privileges such as right to speak in the internal matters of the Hall and a discount when buying resources.
Hearing this, Max felt a pang of regret. If his identity badge hadn’t been destroyed, he would have quite some merits at hand.
He shook his head at the thought and looked at Dan curiously, “Are you an Outer Hall disciple?”
“That’s correct, Young Lord.” Dan nodded, “The Hall doesn’t allow disciples to bring in those unaffiliated with the Hall as their servants, but since some Inner and Core disciples and Elders need servants to take care of several minor matters for them and the Outer Hall disciples have limited ways to earn Merit Points, especially those less talented ones like me, the Hall let us become your servants. We get paid for our services with Merit Points that fuels our cultivation.”
“I see.” Max said, feeling admiration for their determination. If he was in their place, he doubted he could let go of his pride to lower himself in a servant’s position. After all, the servant here was really a servant, not like the employees in companies on Earth .
’Well, now that I think about it, they do get treated almost the same.’ He sighed. Life wasn’t easy.
“Go, take a rest or cultivate. I’m better now. No need to be here all the time. If I need you, I’ll call you.” Max said, throwing a communication crystal along with one Mana Crystal toward him.
Dan caught the both and his breath hitched seeing the Mana Crystal. Unlike Max and others who only came to know about their existence during the war, he already knew what it was.
Ba-Dum! Ba-Dum!
His heart rate increased. Just how valuable a Mana Crystal was? He could convert it into more than ten thousand mid grade Mana Stones.
“Young Lord…” He looked at Max, his eyes turning misty. Then, he bowed deeply, “Thank you very much.”
Seeing he didn’t try to turn it down, a smile appeared on Max’s face.
When someone knew you were clearly in need of something and they give you that thing, but then you go and act as if you couldn’t accept it because it was too valuable and other sh*t, it more often than not annoy or displease the other party. The best thing to do in such a situation was to just gratefully accept it.
He was pleased to see Dan was sensible enough. He lightly nodded, “Mm. Go ahead. Work hard on your cultivation. It’s very important that we get as strong as possible.”
“Yes, Young Lord.” Dan bowed again and departed.
Max watched him leave, his emotions of excitement making his mood light.
Withdrawing his bloodline energy, he took out his communication crystal and sent a message to Elder Milo, telling him about the situation of Lily and others and asked what was going on the desolate region.
Soon, he received a reply from him.
[The situation in the desolate region is stable and Rose and others have returned to the Central Plains.]
Phew!
He exhaled in relief hearing this.
Then, he hesitated, thinking whether he should ask him to find some resources that were effective in healing Mana Core. But after a moment, he just thanked him and apologized for disturbing him before putting the communication crystal away.
Elder Milo was a dignified peak Emperor. Just because he had been kind and helpful didn’t mean he could take him for granted. Besides, it wasn’t good to rely on others for every little thing.
He stood up, locked his cave abode with a formation and began descending the Violet Peak. Now that he had recovered and no longer looked to be on the verge of death, he could finally meet Rima without worrying her.
…
Half an hour later, he entered the medical hall and noticed that compared to the day before, there were very few people here—only three that he could see. One was a guard in the medical hall’s robes, and the other two were the Medical Elder and a female disciple in the same robes.
When they noticed Max enter the hall, the young female disciple looked at him, her eyes flickering with curiosity and a hint of awe.
As for the Medical Elder, she had her eyes closed, which she opened, took a deep look at him and said, “It’s good that you have come on your own. Otherwise, I was about to send someone to fetch you.”
“Why? Something’s wrong?” Max asked as his pupils constricted and breathing slowed.
