Seeing dozens of Free Humans rush towards him, Torq considered things for a moment and glanced towards his shattered cabin, noticing the cage with the baby Roshmon was still intact, ’I hope it doesn’t die.’
It wasn’t too much of an issue, as he had plenty of skins of the baby Roshmon. He could create as many Pets of it as he wanted to serve his purpose. He would try his best to protect it, but not at the cost of his life.
A thought later, he activated his Millinger Tangible Nature at full strength, unleashing an artillery strike towards the targets.
Boom!
Only the Free Humans who managed to turn into an Empyrean Boar at the last second survived the attack. Everyone else either died or had suffered crippling blows.
A Free Human gasped as he slammed into the wall. Parts of his head had turned into his Vara Human Avatar, which endured the damage from the artillery strike better. The rest of his body that wasn’t protected by his Human Avatar rapidly melted into a puddle, turning him helpless.
He still had enough reserve of Prana, which meant he could make an eventual recovery. However, that would have only happened had Torq not splattered his head with a kick.
Primary Nature–Spectral Boar Transformation!
Torq grabbed the Empyrean Boar closest to him and ripped its body apart. A chomp later, he consumed the Empyrean Boar’s heart and chucked away the rest of the body.
Another Empyrean Boar charged into him, boring its tusks into his stomach, “Urgh!”
Torq gripped the head of the Empyrean Boar and launched two Millinger spikes into the latter, causing molten brainmatter to spill out. And then, he dug his hands through the hole in the Empyrean Boar’s skull and ripped it apart.
’Shit!’ The railway was rapidly proceeding past him while plenty more enemies were ganging upon him. Torq stuffed the Empyrean Boar’s corpse in his mouth and rapidly surfed through the Natures stored on the latter’s body.
His eyes hurriedly darted towards one of the Free Humans, whom he targeted with multiple Mud Balls until the latter was encased by it. Then, he chomped upon the Free Human, clicking his tongue a second later as he attacked another.
As he chomped the fifth Free Human, his eyes lit up in relief, ’Finally!’
In his stomach, the Tangible Nature of Mud Viper was digested, replaced by what he newly consumed through the Free Human.
It was a Wean Clansman, who had become Torq’s second Tangible Nature. And thanks to it, Torq could now use it.
Tangible Nature–Empyrean Boar Transformation!
Reverting to human form, Torq promptly became an Empyrean Form, which was no longer as constricted by the tunnel’s size. Then, he charged forth, ramming into his opponents without worries, as his Inhibition Dome was still effective.
This meant powerful Natures such as Eddy Blades were rendered useless. And the effects of other Natures was within the Empyrean Boar’s physical means to tank.
Boom!
Opening his mouth, Torq crunched upon two Free Humans and spat out a few broken teeth. He reverted to human form and transformed into a Spectral Boar to punch and clobber to bits an Empyrean Boar heading his way.
Immediately after, he changed into an Empyrean Boar to resume his sprint, constantly morphing his size and fighting capabilities to throw off the coordination among his enemies.
And whenever there was a troublesome opponent, he relied on the Millinger’s artillery strike to bombard the place.
“You will die here, Garabuntara!” A Free Human roared and slapped the railway tunnel walls, causing a shift in the gravity of the place.
“Dammit!” Torq cursed in response, for unlike before where the tunnel felt like a straight path with a mild decline, the gravity within had changed now to make the entire section a freefall.
Alongside the railway, his body too began to freefall through the tunnel’s length, immediately making his preparations pretty useless.
“Die!” A Free Human collided into his comrade and used the rebound to reach the tunnel walls. Immediately upon contact, he activated Shredded Lunge to jump at Torq and assumed an Empyrean Boar transformation at the last second, relying on the space expansion to ram Torq into the tunnel walls.
“URGH!” Torq transformed into a Spectral Boar at the last second, using the space expansion to tank the blow. He quickly reverted to human form, used the Empyrean Boar as a foothold, and leapt to the side, watching another Free Human slam into him.
Swoosh!
He launched another spike, puncturing through the head of a Free Human as he plucked and chomped upon the heart of another, ’There’s a good one here!’
He changed his Tangible Nature of Wean Clansman to a Razor Rat and promptly activated Shredded Lunge. His figure flickered as he ricocheted off the tunnel walls, shooting spikes nonstop as he closed in upon the falling railway.
“Garabuntara!” A series of shockwaves erupted from the rear of the carriage and served as a shield for Torq.
A rope bound to his hip and yanked him into the compartment. It was one of his aunts, who had been trying her best to protect him.
Boom!
A Free Human spun through the air, activated a series of Natures that reinforced his legs and kicked her on the head, sending her flying away. “No!”
He immediately faced his palm towards Torq and blasted a series of shockwaves, destroying Torq’s skin layer.
Nature–Prana Shock!
The moment Torq’s scrambled muscles were exposed, he fired off an artillery strike from point blank.
Torq hurriedly turned into a Spectral Boar, feeling his stomach beginning to melt as the Tangible Natures inside sustained damage. He hurriedly unleashed an artillery strike of his own and reverted to human form to dodge an Empyrean Boar’s lunge above.
’How many Empyrean Boar Transformations have these Free Humans accumulated?’ Torq cursed, ’They most probably have a nest of Wean Clansmen. That’s how they’re able to accumulate so many of these Natures!’
He had just reverted to human form when two Free Humans approached him and unleashed a series of punches and kicks.
Torq was forced to use Shredded Lunge to evade, watching them tail closely after, ’Dammit!’
He saw the Free Humans jumping out of the falling railway one after another, like flies, ’They are endless!’
