Chapter 186: Spectral Shell Elixir
Hiding behind a stack of Vara Information Slips was the gruff man, extremely busy with the piling work, as one of those in charge of the logistics pertaining to the upcoming expedition.
It wasn’t just that. He was also in charge of the defence of their territory in the absence of the Celestial Boar. There was just too much work to do here that he was simply stumped from exhaustion.
Knock!
A soft knock jolted him awake, causing his senses to haywire from a brutal sense of alarm, feeling suffocated for a moment, ’Ancestor?’
He hurriedly rushed to the door and opened it while taking on a humbled posture, only to be stunned by an individual who he hadn’t expected, ’Garabuntara?’
’Why does he feel like the Ancestor?’ He was stunned, subconsciously blurting out his wonder, “What did you do to become like this?”
“I need you to arrange an audience with the Ancestor, Grandfather.” Torq expressed his intention curtly, “I need it to be done before evening.”
His gaze calmly fell upon the gruff man’s eyes, “Today.”
“Uh…okay,” The gruff man subconsciously felt intimidated by his grandson into accepting the absurd proposition. Only after a couple of seconds did he come to his senses, ’No! Getting an audience with the Ancestor isn’t as simple as that.’
However, before he could say anything, Torq took his leave.
“You…” The gruff man eyed the back of his grandson and muttered, with a slightly saddened tone, “You still have time to remain a child.”
“Why…why did you mature so soon?” Letting out a grand sigh, the gruff man returned to his seat, knowing very well Torq hadn’t paid attention to his saddened whisper. ’First, my daughter. And now, my grandson too.’
’Even now, my strength is lacking. That’s why my descendants are braving through the world’s suffering early on in their lives.’ For a moment, his eyes grew moist. But upon realising nothing would get done by being dramatic, he hardened his expression and got up, planning to get his grandson an audience with their Ancestor.
In the meantime, Torq entered the Binkn Academy and made his way to the staff quarters.
Knock! Knock!
The door opened as a messy haired Whoaja greeted him in surprise, “Lord GaraBuntara?”
“I’ve been expecting your arrival!” She greeted him with enthusiasm and hurriedly noticed the baby holding his hands, “This is?”
“The same as you,” Torq explained, “This is a Roshmon…”
He stopped speaking upon seeing Whoaja perched in the farthest corners of the room’s ceiling, having moved as far away from Torq as she realistically could.
“R-R-Roshmon?” Whoaja stammered in fright as she eyed the baby, “This is that monster?”
“It’s my mount.” Torq patted the baby Roshmon on the head and then eyed Whoaja, “What’s your arrangement with the expedition?”
“I am heading out, of course.” Whoaja smiled wryly, “I am in charge of producing Iron Grade Natures for the expedition.”
’Right, with her ability, it’s like having a factory for Natures with us.’ Torq nodded and patted the baby Roshmon, “Bring him with you while you mingle with others like you. Teach him in the upcoming days.”
“I don’t think there are that many Pranic Beasts like me here.” Whoaja expressed her hesitation while daring not to glance in the direction of the baby Roshmon.
“I see,” Torq sighed, “If you’re not comfortable with…”
“I will, I said I will,” Whoaja reflexively grabbed Torq by the arm, “Don’t make that dejected face, alright?”
“Thanks!” Torq beamed a smile and acted like he was unaware of her blushing in response. “Then, I’ll take my leave.”
“Why don’t you stay here for dinner?” Whoaja asked in a hurry.
“We’ll be moving together in four days anyway.” Torq waved his farewell and left the school.
Soon, he took a pod to reach Ruogarg City and met with HayTura to purchase three Millinger eggs.
“That’s all we have left.” HayTura smiled wryly. “We’ll send a Raid Team to the Red-Draft River to bring more Millinger eggs if you want them.”
“This should do,” Torq nodded in relief, “I’ll ask for more if I ever need them in the future.”
Soon, he returned home, hatched the Millinger eggs and fed each an Elixir of Free Cultivator. There was no success with the first batch, causing him some stress.
Thankfully, with a second dosage of the Elixir, one of them managed to obtain the Tertiary Nature of Free Cultivator.
Immediately in response, he left his room and knocked on the door to the nearby room.
“What’s the matter, brother?” Aurabuntara rubbed her eyes groggily and walked out.
“Slacker, don’t sleep in the middle of the day!” Torq flicked her forehead, “Why aren’t you at school?”
“I felt lazy,” AuraBuntara twitched and tried to whistle her way out.
“Go, study!” Torq grabbed her by the head and scowled.
“No!” AuraBuntara shook her head in protest, “It’s too boring! I would rather play and make new sculptures.”
“If you promise you’ll study for the next two years, I’ll give you a present I’ve prepared for you.” Torq revealed a trace smile, hiding a cunning grin behind.
“Present?” AuraBuntara’s eyes lit up in response, giddying up in excitement, “What is it? Did you finally get me a mount as you promised?”
“What is it? Tell me! Brother!” She kept jumping around, twirling around him like a butterfly until Torq took out a vial.
“What is this?” AuraBuntara frowned upon seeing the vial containing a clear greyish-blue liquid, almost half a litre in volume.
“Drink it and you’ll be surprised.” Torq said and forced the other party, “Now.”
“Fine…” Aurabuntara groaned and chugged the vial’s contents in one stretch, feeling strange immediately after, “What is happening, brother?”
“It’s an Elixir I refined specially for you.” Torq smirked, ’I’ve already tested its effectiveness on a Pet of you.’
Similar to what he had done to the Boutique Lizard Pet until only one Nature of it remained behind, Torq had repeated the same to a Pet of himself, specifically to concentrate his Tertiary Nature.
Since they were siblings, their genetic similarity made it a lot easier to finalise the process, shortening the time it required him to complete the product fit for her consumption.
And in a short few minutes since AuraBuntara consumed the Elixir, her eyes widened as a stunned gasp leaked out of her mouth, “Brother…”
“How is this possible?”
Tertiary Nature–Spectral Shell!
