Sumatra's Greatest Fan - Chapter 187: Harmony And Unity

Chapter 187: Harmony And Unity
High Grade Elixir–Spectral Shell!
Upon consuming it, AuraBuntara obtained the very Nature that Torq had obtained through seven years of suffering.
Tertiary Nature–Spectral Shell!
Upon obtaining it, AuraBuntara felt her body improving in its strength as she jumped from Advanced Gold Grade to Expert Gold Grade, reaching the same level of existence as her brother.
“But…” Immediately in response, her eyes grew moist, and soon after, she teared up in sadness, “This is unfair!”
“You…” She grabbed Torq’s shirt and pulled it out of anger, “You obtained this after suffering for seven years!”
“And I got it just like that?” She roared in rage, her eyes growing a deep shade of red, “This is unfair! UNFAIR!”
“It’s only fair you get it too, since I unlocked it for us.” Torq replied as if it were a matter of fact.
“Do you even know how you were all those years?” AuraBuntara cursed, “Only I knew how much you suffered! I was there with you! I took care of you!”
She then slapped the pellet hanging down his neck, “You know what? That’s made out of Vara. So, I can access it, and I indeed accessed it in the past, once, out of curiosity.”
She collapsed to the floor, sobbing weakly, “I could barely witness a few hours in that theatre.”
She roared in regret, “You suffered for seven years, through something I couldn’t last an hour in. Spectral Shell was supposed to be your reward.”
“But now what?” She sobbed, “Why did you give it to me, brother? I’ve never put in the effort to be worth something like this.”
“Didn’t you take care of me?” Torq crouched before his sister and gently pulled her into a hug, “Besides, you seem to be misunderstanding something. Whether or not you suffered is irrelevant. You’re my dear sister.”
“I suffered so that you don’t have to.” He wiped her tears and stared deep into the latter’s eyes, “As your older brother, give me the chance to protect you, alright?”
“I want to ensure your safety for the upcoming years.” Saying as such, he pulled in two Pranic Beasts, both of which seemed to have just hatched.
“Won’t you be there to protect me like always…” AuraBuntara paused, coming to a certain realization as tears streamed down her eyes further, “You’re going on the expedition?”
“It’s not confirmed yet, but it will happen.” Torq nodded, “I won’t be at peace until I’m sure you’re safe.”
“Promise me you’ll take care of yourself.” All he could do was hold AuraBuntara in his embrace while the latter punched his chest nonstop.
“I’ve never seen father. Mother…has stopped visiting home altogether recently. And now…” AuraBuntara sobbed, “And now, you’re also leaving me behind.”
She felt powerless, vacantly gazing upon the floor with a sullen expression as tears continued to fall down like a waterfall.
“I promise,” Torq held her hands steady, looked into her eyes and expressed with assurance, “I won’t leave you behind.”
“No matter what, I’ll return home, safe and sound.”
“Please do,” was all AuraBuntara could do, as she weakly grabbed the two Pranic Beasts Torq had prepared for her.
The first was a Millinger and the second was a Razor Rat. Both had the Tertiary Nature of Free Cultivator, allowing them to assume a human form and progress through the Life Stage.
The Millinger was sufficient for most situations. And the Razar Rat was something AuraBuntara was the most experienced in using, so he kept it as is.
With Free Cultivator, AuraBuntara’s Razor Rat could progress through the Life Stage, which would enhance the potency of its Shredded Lunge. It will allow her to escape better from dangerous situations.
And the Millinger was just there to take care of most situations, as one of the most versatile Pranic Beasts.
If given the choice, Torq would have chosen something stronger than a Razor Rat. However, the influence stemming from it would be insane. That’s why he stuck to the existing choices.
’She will need considerable time to endure the Millinger Tangible Nature’s influence alone. If I give her anything stronger, it will do more harm than good.’ He thought with a sigh and spent some time distracting his sister.
Once AuraBuntara had obtained the two Tangible Natures, he carved a couple sculptures with her, and then got up when the gruff man sauntered in.
“GaraBuntara…” The gruff man sighed once and nodded at Torq, “Follow me.”
“Yes, grandfather.” Torq nodded, patted an about-to-sob AuraBuntara and walked out.
“It wasn’t easy,” The gruff man said once the duo had entered a pod, “You were given a chance solely because of your previous accomplishment.”
“If it seems like you’ve wasted Ancestor’s time, you will never be granted an audience ever again.” He advised, “I hope you’ve understood the consequences.”
“I’m confident,” Torq nodded and watched the gruff man go silent after that.
A few minutes later, he broke the silence, “Grandfather…”
“Yes?” The gruff man nodded.
“Please protect my sister.” Torq said next.
“That is obvious…” The gruff man paused in realisation, and then asked with a saddened tone, “Do you plan to ask our Ancestor to include you in the expedition?”
“Yes,” Torq nodded.
“Do you even know how dangerous Nusantara Continent is?” The gruff man roared in frustration, “It’s a mature Continent! Do you know what that means?”
“Every single Pranic Beast there is an Expert Gold Grade existence!” He shouted, “And that’s not all!”
“State of Harmony is commonplace there!” He bellowed with a redeemed face, “Only our Clan Chief has a State of Harmony across the entirety of the Wean Clan. The Varahan Empire, with their population in the hundreds of millions, barely has a few dozen existences who can use a State of Harmony.”
“That is what we’re dealing with here!” He slammed the pod’s door in anger, “And let’s not even talk about the pinnacle power available in Nusantara!”
“Do you even realise how powerful that state is? It’s in a league above the State of Harmony!” The gruff man explained in terror, “While a State of Harmony is the ceiling power attainable by a Cultivator, this new state allows cultivators to harness the power of a Transcendent.”
“There exist only three individuals in the entirety of Sumatra who can tap into that power. And they’re outliers!” The gruff man expressed his helplessness, “For the rest of us, getting it is impossible.”
“And worst of all, anyone hit by it won’t even be able to struggle for survival as their bodies, minds, and souls will be permanently destroyed.” The gruff man held Torq by the shoulder and expressed despair, “That…”
“Is the State of Unity!”
