Sumatra's Greatest Fan - Chapter 188: Revisiting The Wean Palace

Chapter 188: Revisiting The Wean Palace
“That…is the State of Unity!” The gruff man said, cursing aloud upon being met with Torq’s silence, “I’m saying!”
“One contact with it, and nothing will remain of you. All you’ll be reduced to is a pile of cinders, if you’re lucky!”
“Tell me!” He roared next, “Why are you silent? Why?”
“Grandfather,” Torq made eye contact with the other party and asked a question, “When do you think those bastards will enter Sumatra?”
“What?” The gruff man was stunned by the question, “What do you mean by when?”
“They’ve come to invade us.” Torq explained his reasoning, “How long do you think we have before they march against us?”
“Whether it be the State of Harmony, or the impossible to guard State of Unity,” Torq snorted derisively, “When they swarm us, what do you think is our option?”
“Give up and accept defeat?”
“We have the Ancestor!” The gruff man explained.
“Is our Ancestor invincible?” Torq snorted upon seeing the other party’s anger, “Didn’t our Ancestor lose in the past?”
“Our history…” Torq paused for a moment before eyeing the pod’s door, “Didn’t we once have dozens of Boar Kings?”
Slowly, his pair of calm eyes darted to eye up the gruff man, “Where are they now?”
“Our Chief is the only Boar King currently. So,” Torq asked, “Where are the rest?”
“How did you come to know about that information…” The gruff man expressed his shock.
“It’s an open secret, grandfather.” Torq huffed, “It’s not hard to learn about our past.”
“So, where are they now?” He asked again.
“They…were killed.” The gruff man expressed sullenly.
“Wasn’t the Ancestor alive when that happened?” Torq snorted, “So, why do you think the Boar Kings failed to survive?”
“The Ancestor was away,” The gruff man made an excuse, “Our enemies struck during his absence…”
“Absence, yes.” Torq raised a finger, “Despite his overwhelming strength, the Ancestor is one man. His attention will be occupied by a powerful existence from Nusantara. When that happens, all of us will merely be sitting ducks.”
“Without the means to face a State of Unity, all we’ll do is be a burden to our Ancestor.” Torq commented and walked out once the pod came to a stop, “I don’t intend to be that.”
“You…will die.” The gruff man desperately tried to make a point.
“Better me than all of us.” Torq waved his hand and began to walk towards the palace. The gruff man could only follow suit in silence.
Wean Palace!
The palace originally constructed by the Celestial Boar’s wife, Yarsha Zahara, titled the Varahan Empress, was the Varahan Palace. It was currently situated in the Varahan Empire’s capital city.
Since the Wean Clan had been pushed away from the capital city, they erected the Wean Palace at a spot close to the Varahan Enclave.
Entering the ginormous palace halls, Torq accompanied a man alone, while the gruff man stopped at the entrance, not having the permission to progress any further without permission.
Just like the previous time, Torq noticed Wean Clansmen in greyish-white robes remaining in a hard bow while filling the sides of the palace hall. The moment he set foot within the hall, countless powerful presences locked onto his position, making it tough for him to breathe.
Instinctively, based on the hunger levels he felt, Torq was stunned, ’How…how is this possible?’
Every single Wean Clansman in the palace hall, wearing the greyish-white robes, were uniformly at the peak of cultivation. Every single one of them had a 10-Life Stage cultivation.
“Entering! GaraBuntara!” Announced a Wean Clansman stationed at the palace hall’s entrance, his voice thundering across the place.
Accompanied by a Wean Clansman on either side, Torq was escorted to a podium in the centre of the palace hall, in direct view of the throne. There, just like before, was the existence, slouched without a care in the world, for it had no predators to ever worry about.
Mutated Expert Mystic Grade Pranic Beast–Celestial Boar!
A being with pretty much endless Prana and a perennial lifespan, born to predate over every other existence, irrespective of their Grade.
“Tell me,” The Celestial Boar’s voice resounded plainly, “Why did you seek an audience with me?”
“It’s to present this,” Torq didn’t waste time beating about the bush, knowing very well the other party didn’t care much about posturing and formalities. And hence, he got straight to the heart of the matter and presented forth two Vials.
High-Grade Elixir–Free Cultivator!
High-Grade Elixir–Spectral Shell!
“First one grants the power of cultivator to a Pranic Beast, with a small chance, when administered right upon hatching.” Torq explained the functions of the two elixirs, “Second can grant a Spectral Boar the Tertiary Nature of Spectral Shell, with an extremely low chance.”
“How low are the success rates?” The Celestial Boar asked.
“Around five to twenty percent for the Elixir of Free Cultivator.” Torq responded, “The other one’s success depends on the Spectral Boar’s genetic closeness to myself.”
A pause later, he responded, “My sister, AuraBuntara, already has the Nature of Spectral Shell.”
“Confirm it,” The Celestial Boar gave the order and then eyed Torq, “How many samples have you brought?”
“Ten for the Elixir of Free Cultivator, and two for the Elixir of Spectral Shell.” Torq responded promptly and provided the vials to a Wean Clansman who approached him to collect them.
Then, he stood in patience as ten Pranic Beast eggs were brought in and hatched, all of whom were Razor Rats.
The Wean Clansman with the vials administered the Elixir of Free Cultivator to the respective Razor Rats and then nodded while picking up two of them, “There have been two successes.”
A nudge from him, and the two Razor Rats transformed into human babies. He raised them up to display better towards the Celestial Boar, “It works, Your Majesty!”
“Good, test the next.” The Celestial Boar gave a command and waited patiently. Twenty minutes later, a Spectral Boar Clansman was ushered in.
Torq immediately recognised the other party, ’VaraBuntara!’
VaraBuntara trembled in fright as he meekly followed a Wean Clansman and kneeled on the floor before the Celestial Boar. And upon hearing orders, he drank an Elixir of Spectral Shell, immediately grunting in pain as changes occurred throughout his body.
Once the changes subsided, he indeed obtained the Tertiary Nature of Spectral Shell. It seems he was genetically pretty close to GaraBuntara. Of course, it was because they were close cousins. Their grandmothers were sisters.
Among all the Spectral Boar Clansmen, VaraBuntara was the closest to GaraBuntara, other than his sister, Aurabuntara.
“This is…?” VaraBuntara was stunned by the sense of power he felt, for he had now reached Expert Gold Grade. That wasn’t all. He could clearly perceive it now. The path to becoming a Deity had become open to him.
In absolute shock, he turned around and gasped upon eyeing Torq, “Deity?”
“It’s possible for us to become that?”
His declaration caused waves of shock to burst across the hooded figures.
“Deity?”
“Among us?”
“Finally! To think we could have a Deity existence among us.”
“Fuck the Mammoth and Cooter Clan! The future belongs to us!’
While everyone exclaimed in absolute excitement, the Celestial Boar remained unfazed. With a wave of his hand, he motioned for VaraBuntara to take his leave.
And then, he eyed Torq, curled his eyes a tad, slightly parted his lips and asked, almost a whisper, “Do you want a patch of my skin?”
