Summoners War: Only I Summoned Divine Beasts - Chapter 1608: Tiamat

Chapter 1608: Tiamat
“Tiamat.”
The moment he said her name, the dragon flapped its wings. A tremendous force swept the arena.
“!!!” Nyx couldn’t help but widen her eyes in shock.
Xolotl and Garuda turned serious.
The force that had been released was actually not an ordinary force. It would be harmless for them, but if there were any enemies around them, they would have died from the shock alone.
Even Nidhogg felt threatened by this power. As a dragon that possessed the power of chaos, he could directly feel the gap between them.
However, even though both of them were dragons that had the power of chaos, their roles were different.
Nidhogg was like a guide, while Tiamat was like a mother.
Her five heads looked around.
“I am Tiamat. Since I’ve been summoned, I will be working with all of you. I don’t need your acceptance, nor do you need mine.
“As long as we’re on the same side, I’ll help you. However, anyone who dares to stand between me and my husband will face my wrath.”
Nathan smiled. It looked like the summoning ritual had been completed. Tiamat was known to have many powers. Chaotic energy was one of them. These five heads were most likely able to spit out different kinds of powers.
He believed Tiamat was a good addition. Originally, he was thinking about summoning a serpent such as Quetzalcoatl or Apophis or Jormugandr.
Unfortunately, Quetzalcoatl had died according to Nyx. Jormugandr might be a good idea, but a being of his size would have a hard time moving into this world. Unless he had become a deity and left this world, he probably couldn’t summon Jormungandr.
That left Apophis. Apophis was known as an evil god. He attacked Ra every day. If he had ever succeeded, he would have plunged the world into eternal darkness.
He could probably get along with Nyx, who was the personification of the night. However, Nathan had Jinwu, who was similar to Ra.
Sadly, Jinwu’s strength wasn’t comparable to Ra, who was most likely to be a true god. So, Jinwu wouldn’t stand a chance against Apophis.
Nathan could probably stop him, but he couldn’t imagine what would happen in the future.
He was fine with bickering or some light fights between his divine beasts, but Apophis would disrupt the balance.
That was why Nathan shifted his choice to Tiamat.
Tiamat was known for her strength. She might be known as an evil god, but he knew she wasn’t originally evil.
That was why he took a gamble. He summoned Tiamat, hoping that she would return to her original form.
It looked like his gamble had paid off. Although he felt a bit bad for using her husband’s name, he didn’t plan to renege on this promise.
Besides, her husband, Apsu, wasn’t necessarily weak either. He was Tiamat’s counterpart, representing the freshwater.
If he hadn’t been slain, Tiamat wouldn’t have had to go berserk and kill everything.
This time, they managed to gain an important divine beast.
Nathan took a deep breath. “I don’t know if you are aware of this, but there is a reason I summoned you, Tiamat. Right now, my twisted fate was working against me. I need your strength so that we can solve this problem.”
“I don’t care about mortal kingdoms.”
“Yes, but I do.” Nathan nodded in understanding. “Besides, I won’t be able to live a normal life if the kingdoms disappear. It might impact our plan in the future. That’s why I need your help.”
“You simply have to say that if I don’t cooperate, you won’t summon my husband.”
Nathan shook his head. “I will never do that. First of all, I hold my promises in high regard. In addition, I’ve seen plenty of occasions where threatening someone with their goal isn’t going to work.
“Even if our contract ends, I don’t wish to be your enemy. In fact, I wish we could be friends.”
Tiamat scoffed. “Fine. I will help.”
“Thank you.”
Tiamat closed her eyes as her body started to disappear. “In that case, don’t call me for every little thing. If you want to do something, you don’t need my permission or opinion.
“However, if you ever need my help, whether it’s my power or knowledge, you may call me.”
“Understood.”
Tiamat finally disappeared as the pressure from her vanished.
“Huuu…” Nathan let out a breath of relief. It was indeed hard for him to gain her cooperation, but it looked like he succeeded.
“So, that’s Tiamat.” Xolotl smirked. “I swear I’m going to become stronger than her in the future.”
“Her true power is probably on the same level as my lord, Vishnu.” Garuda narrowed his eyes. “Only a few beings are at her level.”
“I can’t help but agree. Her power is probably close to my father, but I still believe my father was stronger.” Nyx nodded in agreement.
“Anyway, we’re done with the summoning.” Nathan turned around with a smile. “We should go to the final destination after a good night’s rest.”
“That’s true. Next time, when I’m confident, I’m going to challenge her to a fight.” Xolotl smirked.
“You begin to sound like Fenrir.” Garuda rolled his eyes.
“Well, she called me a dog instead of my name. Even though she was stronger, I’m still a true god.” Xolotl snorted. “I’m going to make her acknowledge me.”
“You truly become Fenrir. You hang out too much with Fenrir, Nidhogg, and Orochi.”
“…” Xolotl’s eyebrows twitched. “That’s why it’s time for you to accompany me for a drink.”
“Heh.” Garuda chuckled. “No. Every time you drink, you drink too much of my nectar!”
“Come on. Just a little sip.” Xolotl smirked.
“NO!” Garuda escaped by returning to the summoning space.
“…” Nathan shook his head helplessly. He turned to Selena, Noelle, and Iris and nodded to show that he was all right.
It was indeed hard to summon a powerful deity. If Nathan had said the wrong words, the situation wouldn’t have gone that smoothly. There was no telling what they would do with their power.
Even if they didn’t do anything, they would have wasted ten million ena by summoning that deity.
In any case, Nathan had succeeded, and it was time to tackle the bigger jinx.
