Chapter 1646: Unexpected Suggestion From Fenrir
Vista was startled. On the one hand, he definitely had to follow the superior. On the other hand, he also recognized it wasn’t the time. All this time, Nathan had been the one strategizing everything.
Before Flora even asked him, Vista nodded. “Understood.”
Time was of the essence. They couldn’t waste any more time and began preparing for the incoming invasion.
Nathan let out a long sigh. “The situation is not going very well right now. We’re too unprepared to handle this mess.”
There was only one possibility. Nathan reset the time one more time, but he didn’t have the ability to do it yet.
Still, the situation might not be the worst.
Nathan turned to Elysion. “What are you going to do with this?”
“I’m not so sure right now.” Elysion shook his head helplessly. He was one of the few people who had been branded by Azathoth. If he made his move, Azathoth would know about it.
That was why Elysion originally wanted to hide as long as possible before protecting this world while Nathan and the others led the fight against them.
But looking at this situation, he might have to unleash his power sooner than he initially expected.
“What are you going to do?” Elysion asked back.
Nathan shook his head helplessly. “I can’t think of anything right now. All the plans are in a mess currently, so it won’t be wise to approach them without any concrete plan. If they’re coming, they will definitely focus their attack on the Azilia Kingdom.”
“There might be no help from other kingdoms, huh?” Elysion thought it was a shame. “Politics.”
Nathan agreed with him, but it was useless to talk badly about it. It wasn’t going to help.
Nathan said, “Thank you for giving me this information. Just knowing this information alone may allow us to think of a solution. We’ll see what we can do.”
“If you still don’t find a solution, come to me. In the worst-case scenario, I will use my power to stop them.”
Nathan nodded. “Thanks.”
Elysion waved. “I am here because of a promise, and I intend to fulfill it even if that’s the last thing I do.”
Nathan understood it was a promise with the original Nathan.
When Elysion disappeared, Nathan raised his hand. “Let’s go back and convene a war council right now. Sir Dragon King, I will need you to attend it as well.”
“Got it.” The Dragon King agreed.
The war council this time was held outside. This way, Nathan could summon his divine beasts. The others also summoned their familiars to get additional heads to think of a plan.
Nathan first started with the briefing about their current situation. Everyone’s expression turned ugly, knowing why Nathan was so worried.
Nyx couldn’t help but say, “This is already a big mess. Is there even a way out of this?”
“That’s what we’re going to discuss right now. Suppose there is some information about them, such as their whereabouts, we may be able to chip away at their strength bit by bit.” Nathan sighed.
Selena couldn’t help but ask, “What if we confront them from the side?”
“It’s not going to help. Each elite class alien possesses a unique ability. It won’t be hard if there are only a few dozen. But when the number is in the hundreds, if not higher, they will use their respective unique ability to restrain you.”
“So, the best option we have is to separate them?” Selena asked.
“That’s my original plan. We have that much firepower. If we can take half of them with us, anyone who manages to finish their fight the fastest will join the others to wipe them out. The rest will maintain their positions until we arrive.” Nathan nodded.
“…” Selena crossed her arms. She couldn’t think of a solution at this point.
For Nathan’s plan to succeed, each of them needed to have a divine rule. This divine rule would be the one countering their unique ability.
But with only half of them possessing a divine rule, there was no way the group could fight yet.
Nathan’s expression turned grim. This time, even if they could win, the casualties would be too significant.
To everyone’s surprise, Fenrir was actually the one offering a solution.
“Why don’t we do this?” Fenrir raised his paw. “How about we use the jinx again?!”
“Jinx?” Nathan frowned.
“Yes. We managed to use the jinx to split their fight. In that case, why don’t we split them again this time?”
Nathan shook his head. “If we use this jinx to split them just to involve the other kingdoms, it will be useless. The other kingdoms can help to a certain extent, but the war is going to be big enough to the point where the casualties will remain high. At that time, we may not have the resources and manpower to last in the upcoming prolonged war against the aliens.”
“No. That’s not what I’m talking about.” He shook his head. “Rather than involving the other kingdoms, why not involve the other continents?”
“!!!” Nathan widened his eyes. He certainly had yet to come up with this plan.
But this plan might actually work. If they just split the enemy force into two, they might be able to eliminate half of them first and move to the other half. The only problem was whether they could withstand the onslaught or not.
Still, Nathan thought there was a chance for this plan to succeed. The dynasty and the empire might be rivals, but they were more united compared to the four kingdoms on this continent.
If Elysion Aquamoon held back the enemy on this continent, while they joined hands with the empire and the dynasty to wipe out half of the army, they could return and eliminate the rest of the enemy on this continent.
Nathan looked down, contemplating. The chance of this plan succeeding was higher than anything he could think of.
He just never expected Fenrir to be the one giving him this solution.
Nathan sucked in a cold breath. “All right. I think I have a plan.”
