Supreme Harem God System - Chapter 2377: Fling… it…?

Chapter 2377: Fling… it…?
“Then the Timeline that has always been constant, the Timeline that has always been unchanging…
Changed.
And the Future—
It no longer existed because you corrupted it.”
The Seer spoke, not hiding her excitement one bit. Nux looked at her, overwhelmed by the strong emotions she was showing, this was the first time he had seen her express this much emotion.
“Was that… a good thing?”
He asked, a little taken aback and the Seer grinned, not the polite playful smile she always had, she actually grinned.
“I did not know.”
She answered.
“What I did know, however, was that this was my chance.
Your existence alone has made a mess out of the Timeline and there was nothing the Multiverse could do about it.
This was my only chance.
To release myself from the trap that I had fallen into.
To leave this place for good.
To…
To live.
So I made a decision.
I used you as a veil to… make a few moves myself.”
“What moves?”
Nux asked.
“I appeared in front of Avernyth.”
“Oh?”
Nux tilted his head.
“If I had done that before, it would have simply created another branch in the Multiverse, giving birth to another Universe that would have been of no help to me whatsoever.
But this time—
Because your existence had corrupted the Universe, it did not branch. So I took an even bolder step, I overwhelmed Avernyth’s memories with mine and took over her body.”
“You… took over Avernyth’s body…?”
Nux blinked.
How does… one take over her own… body?
He wondered in his head.
“That action wouldn’t have just made another branch, I am a being who is now part of the Multiverse, I was not supposed to return to existence.
Normally, that action should have erased that branch and ended my existence with it since the Multiverse would have corrected what was wrong.
But because of the disruption you caused, the Multiverse didn’t sense it.
So I took over Avernyth’s body and I used her Soul to create the Bloodedge for you.”
“Why her soul…?”
Nux couldn’t help but ask.
“Because it was strong and it was connected to me.”
The Seer answered.
“Strong because the weapon you wanted to create must be strong and…
Connected to you because you later wanted to use this to pull me to the Multiverse.”
“That is correct.”
The Seer nodded again.
“Then shouldn’t removing Avernyth’s Soul from the equation end your existence as well because Zylarith wouldn’t have been able to kill you…
No, you already exist.
So that would be another problem the Multiverse needs to deal with.”
Nux answered his own question.
“You are getting the hang of it, aren’t you?”
She chuckled.
“But then why are Zylarith’s memories a mess, because according to him, he killed Avernyth.”
“Oh he did.”
The Seer nodded.
“I didn’t simply remove Avernyth from the equation, I only knew the Fixed Future, that was my only advantage. Your existence erased that fixed future, so any action from here on out could change everything that I know of.
So I needed to make sure everything went as closely as it did in the Original Timeline, till you appeared and made a mess of it.
So yes, Zylarith did kill me as Avernyth but my Soul simply went to Bloodedge that I had linked myself to before he could erase it.
And of course, he never knew.”
The Seer shrugged, as if fooling that time’s strongest being in the Universe wasn’t a big deal at all.
“So that’s how it all happened…”
Nux nodded.
Then, he looked at the Seer and—
“This is also the reason why when they erased my connections, my connection with the Bloodedge did not disappear because technically…
Bloodedge shouldn’t even exist in the Timeline, so the Multiverse does not consider its existence.”
He spoke out loud and once again—
“You are right again.”
She seemed glad that Nux was absorbing everything so quickly. It had been a long time since she had such a genuine, true conversation with anyone.
“What made you so sure that Bloodedge’s connection would take me to the Multiverse?”
Nux asked curiously.
“I wasn’t sure.”
The Seer answered honestly.
“You weren’t, huh…”
Nux didn’t even seem surprised at this point, after all, the Seer had already said this before.
“I knew what happens to the beings who are erased like you were, I knew your remaining conscious thoughts would drift into an empty dark space, where eventually, people lose their sense of self and disappear permanently.
And I hoped that the Bloodedge would be able to use the Energy it had been absorbing from you all this while and form an opening that brings you to me.”
She explained.
And it was exactly what happened, so in some distorted way, her plan did succeed.
But Nux…
He just looked at the woman in front of him and—
“And…
How exactly did you think, *I*, who was merely a consciousness without any form of body, was supposed to use that opening you so generously provided?”
Nux asked with eyes that wanted to kill the woman in front of him and once again, the Seer looked away.
“Answer my question, woman.”
Nux spoke in a stricter tone.
The Seer looked even further away, Nux followed her gaze, still waiting for an answer and the Seer, she—
“I…
I thought you would just… fling it…”
“Fling… it…?”
Nux repeated those words with an absurd look on his face.
One had to know—
This was the most knowledgeable woman in all of the Multiverse, a woman who was supposed to know EVERYTHING.
A woman who had consumed so much knowledge, that she now knows the beginning, the present, and the future of every single Universe in the Multiverse.
And the answer a woman like her came up with was…
Fling it…?
Nux couldn’t believe it.
It all just felt so ridiculous that he wanted to pull this woman’s hair off, he, however, tried to hold himself back and with a pretentiously calm look on his face—
“And what if I… wasn’t able to… fling it…?”
He asked.
“Then we both die.”
The Seer answered.
And Nux—
Now he really did want to pull this woman’s hair off.
