Chapter 253: Chapter 166: Carlos Python Bloodline, Seed of Killing Intent
Just as Sunan was attacked, the other people in the forest cabin were also ambushed.
Shadows burst out from the gaps, with eerie hissing sounds, charging at the group.
The group had already taken light-sensitive potions beforehand, under dark vision, they quickly discerned the appearance of the attackers.
They were giant snakes, incredibly thick.
These snakes had transparent bodies, exceeding a hundred meters in length, becoming clearer and more real as they approached the snake head; scales stood like blades, covering the head, with teeth like swords, fiercely intimidating.
The group had most of their attention on multi-winged creatures, caught off guard, they were quickly bitten by the giant snakes.
But they soon reacted and counterattacked.
Bang! Bang!
Vicious snake heads shattered continually, the headless snake bodies convulsed and retreated.
Yet, the group was more alarmed than relieved because after smashing the snake heads, they found small translucent snake heads hanging from the bitten spots on their bodies, which had even pierced through defenses, with their blood and flesh bitten by them.
Under the fluorescence, the small translucent snake heads slowly dissipated, yet the group vaguely felt that there seemed to be something new inside their bodies.
“What is this?” Black Forest’s face shifted slightly.
No one answered him, everyone was bewildered.
Sunan frowned and looked towards a nearby cave entrance.
Two figures slowly walked out from it.
It was Saulo and Yiluo.
Saulo still had a head in his hand.
He swung and threw the head, which flew tens of meters and landed on the ground, rolling a few times before stopping, revealing a face still wearing a mask.
It was a corpse.
Rose’s expression changed slightly.
She was just wondering where the corpse had escaped to, only to find it had already perished under Saulo’s hand.
“A divinity creature, huh.”
Saulo’s gaze swept over the group, ultimately landing on the multi-winged creature, his indifferent tone gaining a slight warmth.
“Looks like I’m lucky, apart from the Starry Tower key, there’s extra gain.”
His words implied that he considered the multi-winged creature his prize.
Black Forest was quite displeased with Saulo’s attitude and sneered, “What arrogance, your Eternal Life Association only has two people left now, two against seven, do you think you have a chance?”
The others also stared coldly at Saulo and Yiluo.
Saulo was indeed strong and infamous, but they had a total of seven people on their side, along with Sunan, it seemed they held the upper hand.
In fact, it was perplexing why Saulo and Yiluo dared to show themselves actively instead of sneaking away.
Sunan’s eyes flickered, recalling the scene earlier, feeling a faint sense of familiarity.
“A chance?” Saulo’s eyes flashed coldly, “Of course.”
As he finished speaking, his robe suddenly flared open, seven snake heads shot out from it, mouths wide open, split red tongues flickered quickly, darting towards the group.
During the charge, the snake heads swelled rapidly, and when they reached the group, the entire head had expanded to the size of a millstone.
The group hastily cast magic at the snake heads.
Bursting with colorful magic hit the snake heads… only to vanish like mud into the sea, and the snake heads seemed to absorb the vitality, their scales became even darker, and their somewhat illusory snake bodies suddenly became much more solid.
Hiss! Hiss!
The snake heads’ momentum became increasingly fierce!
“What’s happening?!”
Night Owl and the others’ faces changed drastically, disbelief led them to release more magic.
But without exception, these spells not only failed to harm the snake heads, they turned into nutrients making the latter stronger.
“Damn it! What kind of bloodline ability is this?” Black Forest cursed in a low voice, his face ashen.
Such a strange ability, evidently not a property of magic or magical items, could only be some sort of bloodline ability.
But he had never seen such an eerie bloodline ability.
Could it be some sort of ancient bloodline?
Even Rose, who had briefly crossed paths with Saulo, was filled with dread now.
Now she realized, back then Saulo wasn’t using his full strength, otherwise she and Red Heart likely wouldn’t have been able to escape.
But why did Saulo spare them?
For a moment, the group was forced into a frenzy by the snake heads, unable to fight back yet unable not to.
Only Sunan remained calm, his eyes reflecting thoughtful light.
He tried using energy particles and demon pattern cores to attack, but without exception, the energy was absorbed by the snake heads.
Of course, not all attacks were like this.
For instance, foreign objects like the Frozen Necklace and High-level Rune Gemstones, their attacks weren’t absorbed by the snake heads.
But even smashing the snake heads with magical items wouldn’t stop them from quickly regrowing, at the cost of dimming some of the other snake heads’ bodies.
Sunan suddenly understood, the energy of these snake heads was shared, unless the energy and Saulo’s spiritual power were depleted, it was impossible to destroy all the snake heads.
Just then, a scream suddenly rang out.
Turning their heads, the group saw Saulo had somehow appeared behind Black Forest, with one hand piercing the latter’s abdomen, stained with blood, stretching out from the front.
“Damn woman!”
Black Forest shrieked furiously, his skin suddenly cracking, and numerous brown thorns burst out, enveloping himself.
Saulo was forced back by the thorns, retreating over ten meters.
Beside him, light and shadows appeared, slowly forming Yiluo’s figure.
It was she who had taken advantage to cast an illusion technique and sneak attack Black Forest, causing him a momentary distraction, allowing Saulo an opening.
