Synthetic Wizard - Chapter 335 - 206: Bad News, Still No Match_2

At the same time, screams echoed from the other side.
A dense storm of metallic spires tore through the grotesque beast’s mouth like a violent storm, consuming the Wizard Apprentice across the way.
As the metal storm swept through, the Wizard Apprentice exploded into a bloody mist, leaving not a trace behind!
Boom! Boom! Boom!
Simultaneously, multicolored flashes of magic flooded the two girls.
Yet, when the light faded, the Wizard Apprentices were horrified to find that the two girls were unscathed.
An invisible force field, seemingly thin yet indestructible, enveloped them entirely.
Fakado and the others’ faces had already changed drastically.
In just a single exchange, two strong Level 3 Wizard Apprentices were instantly killed, and the girls remained unscathed against their attacks. Their strength was terrifying!
When did the Star Alliance have such formidable figures, and two of them no less?
Fakado quickly recalled the Star Alliance intelligence he had gathered before.
There should only be one female Level 3 Wizard Apprentice named Rose in the Star Alliance, but where did this twin pair of identical girls come from?
Before they could figure it out, the two girls attacked expressionlessly, releasing a barrage of Magic Missiles.
“Instant Spellcasting!” exclaimed one of the Wizard Apprentices in shock.
Yet, an even more astonishing scene followed.
Snake Pattern Spell Seal, lightning bolts, Exhaustion Beams…
One spell after another was unleashed from the hands of the two girls, quickly taking down two Wizard Apprentices under the powerful and dense onslaught.
“Tier Three Spells!”
“How is this possible?!”
“Are these two Official Wizards?”
The Wizard Apprentices were utterly shocked.
Tier Three spells, combined with their apparent talent ability to manipulate liquid metal—these two girls indeed seemed like Official Wizards.
But how is that possible?
As Level 3 Wizard Apprentices, they were well aware of how difficult it is to advance to become a wizard.
Just having one Sunan appear on the Starlight Continent was already incredible. How could there be two more wizards?
And they were twins?
For a moment, Fakado and the others were filled with shock and disbelief; it was downright absurd.
“Ah!!”
A sudden scream pierced the air.
One of the girls appeared almost instantly behind a Wizard Apprentice, her longsword transforming into countless sharp blades, piercing through his body.
Another companion was dead!
The crowd awakened as if from a dream, releasing their magic to counterattack.
Facing opponents as extraordinarily powerful as these two, they dared not show any further carelessness and unleashed their most potent attack methods.
Especially when they saw Fakado take out a pearl, they intensified their attacks, pinning down the two girls to buy Fakado more time.
The egg-sized pearl was perfectly rounded, resembling a diamond in its transparency, gleaming beautifully in the sunlight.
And as Fakado infused his Spiritual Power into it, the pearl suddenly shone brightly, almost as if the surrounding sunlight had been absorbed into it.
The light quickly grew brighter and more dazzling.
Everyone felt as if a small sun had appeared in their vision.
The next moment, the pearl vibrated with a hum, and an exceptionally brilliant beam of light shot from the pearl, reaching one of the girls almost instantaneously.
Even with the girl’s agility and swiftness, she couldn’t dodge in time. All she could do was manipulate the liquid metal to concentrate in front of her, forming a small silver shield.
Thud!
Time seemed to freeze for a moment, then, with a muffled sound, the silver shield was pierced by the beam, then the Shield Skill, the defensive layer of the Ring of Extreme Protection, the Elemental Energy Protection, and the Energy Particle Protection Layer.
In an instant, the five-layer defense on the girl was breached one after another, and the beam unimpededly struck her forehead, piercing through her head and out the back!
Seeing this, Kael and others showed expressions of joy.
“As expected, the Russell Clan’s clan artifact is immensely powerful!”
Kael exclaimed with both joy and admiration.
They had just experienced the strength of that girl’s defense.
After dozens of magical attacks, she was still unscathed, leaving them in disbelief.
Fortunately, Fakado’s Sun-Melting Pearl did not disappoint!
Fakado took a few rapid breaths, his face slightly pale, but a smile appeared as he looked at the hole in the girl’s forehead.
But in the next second, his smile froze suddenly.
The companions around him also wore expressions as if they had seen a ghost.
The girl’s forehead twitched, silver liquid oozing from the surrounding skin pores, quickly filling the wound, which was soon filled. A flash of silver light restored her skin to its original fair color, and the wound had already disappeared.
The girl shook her head and continued rushing at them, expressionless.
“!!!”
Everyone’s eyes widened in disbelief.
What on earth was happening?
Even after hitting a fatal spot, why was she unharmed?
Fakado was utterly dumbfounded.
He knew better than anyone how powerful the Sun-Melting Pearl was.
The sunbeam should have incinerated her entire head as it pierced her forehead. No matter how resilient a creature’s life force might be, they couldn’t possibly survive!
—Unless she had some special bloodline, and the head wasn’t a vital point, or she wasn’t a typical biological entity!
An astonishing thought flashed through Fakado’s mind.
His expression shifted for a moment before, gritting his teeth; he activated the Sun-Melting Pearl again, launching a beam at another girl.
This time he aimed at her left chest, altering the energy properties so that after it hit, the beam exploded with energy, blasting open a wound the size of two fists in her chest, revealing flowing silver liquid and a silver-gray crystalline core inside, gleaming like a gemstone.
“Soul Core!”
Fakado froze as if struck by lightning.
The other Wizard Apprentices witnessing this also widened their eyes, showing expressions as if witnessing something incredible.
Soul Core… These two terrifyingly powerful girls who could fight against many of them and make them unable to raise their heads were puppet entities!
How could this be?!
How could a puppet be this powerful?
For a moment, Fakado and the others were in disarray.
Already at a disadvantage, they were no match for the two girls now.
One Wizard Apprentice after another fell at the girls’ hands.
Fakado wished to use the Sun-Melting Pearl again, but after using it twice, his Spiritual Power was nearly exhausted. At this point, casting a few spells was out of the question, let alone activating the Sun-Melting Pearl.
In just over ten breaths, among more than twenty Wizard Apprentices attacking the Empire’s camp, only four, including Fakado, were left standing.
Seeing the girls blocking his retreat front and back, expressionless, Fakado felt true despair for the first time in his life.
“Fakado Russell, current head of the Russell Clan, correct.”
A stunning woman approached, her gaze scrutinous.
Fakado gritted his teeth and said, “And you are?”
“Red Widow.”
Fakado’s heart skipped a beat.
He had seen this name in the intelligence reports, seemingly one of the core high-ranking members of the Star Alliance.
Ignoring Fakado’s reaction, Red Widow chuckled, “Surrender now. If not for my master’s interest in the Russell Clan, wanting me to spare your lives, you would all be dead by now.”
Fakado hesitated, glanced around, and realized the three survivors were his clan’s Wizard Apprentices.
Discovering this fact, he felt no joy, only deep bitterness.
That they could selectively choose their targets during battle meant the twin puppet girls hadn’t even exerted their full effort, still having strength to spare, a realization that deepened their despair.
With a deep sigh, Fakado lowered his arms, utterly disheartened.
“We surrender.”
