Synthetic Wizard - Chapter 360 - 219: Fallen Star City

It seems there’s no way to get more precise information from the Siren Sea Demon.
Sunan felt a bit disappointed.
The only valuable gain was confirming that the other party is definitely not a Divine Spirit.
In fact, that person’s actions towards the Siren Sea Demon were more akin to a wizard’s.
That being said, Sunan wasn’t too concerned.
The Siren Sea Demon has already surrendered, and the Deep Sea Naga won’t last long before being defeated by the Star Alliance’s might.
By then, most of the Rainbow Sea’s Sea Hearts will be under the control of the Star Alliance.
If the mysterious person wants a large number of Sea Hearts, they’ll sooner or later come into contact with the Star Alliance again.
Having obtained the intelligence he wanted, Sunan lost interest in continuing the conversation, and after comforting Aida for a bit, he had her sent back to Rainbow Bay.
The Star Alliance can establish a base in the Rainbow Sea, but ultimately, to control the vast Rainbow Sea, they would need to rely on the marine communities.
In the Star Alliance’s future maritime development plans, the role of the Siren Sea Demon is not to be underestimated.
After Aida left, Sunan flipped his wrist, revealing a bright pearl in his palm.
The Sun-Melting Pearl, which is also the key to finding Fallen Star City.
According to Fakado, it’s only another month until the day Fallen Star City appears.
According to past patterns, Fallen Star City exists for three months before disappearing.
In other words, he needs to find the whereabouts of Fallen Star City within three months.
Sunan had some guesses about Fakado’s mention of not being able to find Fallen Star City, but the specifics would have to wait until he saw the actual situation.
…
A month flew by.
Sunan was already waiting early in Coral City of the Rainbow Sea.
When the Sun-Melting Pearl reacted, he noticed it immediately.
“Southwest direction.”
Sunan immediately shot up into the sky, transforming into a stream of light and darted southwest.
He swiftly covered the distance of over three hundred kilometers at full speed, finally stopping above a calm sea.
“Is it here?”
Sunan took out the Sun-Melting Pearl and confirmed that the location it indicated was indeed this sea area.
But upon closer inspection, the vast sea surface was empty, not even a bird in sight, let alone Fallen Star City.
Sunan’s eyes glinted, and he manipulated energy particles to form a protective layer around him before diving into the water to begin an underwater search.
About half an hour later, there was a splash as Sunan broke through the water’s surface again to hover high in the air, his brows furrowed as he looked at the sea.
He’d searched every part of the sea over ten kilometers around but still hadn’t found a trace of Fallen Star City.
“Unless the Sun-Melting Pearl’s guidance is wrong, Fallen Star City must be hidden here.”
Considering he might have missed something by searching alone, Sunan simply returned to Coral City and ordered the First Fleet to mobilize, along with the Siren Sea Demon, to search that sea area.
But to Sunan’s disappointment, three days of searching nearly every inch of the sea resulted in no discoveries.
“Sir, that sea area is only seventy to eighty kilometers from the Azure Eye, where my fellow clansmen often fish and hunt sea monsters, and in hundred of years, we’ve never seen any city.”
After inquiring Aida, Sunan got this response.
Although there were no findings, he confirmed one thing: the inability to find Fallen Star City wasn’t due to the vastness of the sea area but other reasons.
Like the use of an illusion magic array to conceal its whereabouts.
Realizing this, Sunan fell into a new dilemma.
He did have methods to break illusions, such as using the spell Secret Eye Communication or employing magical artifacts to see through illusions.
However, the problem was that using these two methods to search would be too slow; thoroughly searching the entire sea area covering over ten kilometers within three months was unlikely.
“Is there a better way?”
Sunan pondered for a moment, suddenly slapping his forehead.
“How could I forget about that!”
He immediately returned to the Dragon Forest, found Amy resting on the top floor of the Dragon Remains Tower, and brought her directly to the Rainbow Sea.
The poor little creature was dreaming of being surrounded by ice-mint, thoroughly enjoying herself, when she was suddenly awakened by a sea breeze. Upon opening her eyes, she found herself being held by Sunan, with a vast ocean below.
“Meow, Sunan, why did you bring me here?”
“Amy, I need your help with something.”
Sunan suddenly stopped, right above the area locked by the Sun-Melting Pearl.
He pointed at the shimmering sea below and said, “Can you sense any significant energy fluctuations around?”
For an illusion magic array to operate, it inevitably creates energy fluctuations.
While he struggled to perceive faint energy fluctuations in the vast ocean, Amy could.
Her ability to sense energy particles even made Official Wizards admire her.
“Energy fluctuations? What are you looking for, meow?”
“Fallen Star City.”
“One of the three great wizard legacies, Fallen Star City? Meow, I’ve heard of that!”
Hearing that they were looking for Fallen Star City, Amy instantly got excited, scrambling onto Sunan’s shoulder to start sensing the surrounding energy fluctuations.
“Meow, there’s nothing nearby.”
Sunan nodded, slowly flying around the sea area from the outer to the inner circle, leaving no part overlooked.
After about ten minutes, Amy suddenly called out.
“It’s right here, under the sea, meow!”
Sunan’s spirit lifted; he expanded an energy shield, enveloping Amy, and then plunged into the sea.
“I sensed energy fluctuations, a bit deeper down,” Amy said crisply.
Sunan immediately produced a gemstone, which materialized into a basketball-sized, orange-red light orb, hovering steadily above his head.
