- Chapter 384 - 230: Academy Council, Wizard Tower Completion (Part 2)

Lize nodded and added, “By the way, you should give this plan a name, it’ll be easier to refer to.”
Sunan replied without hesitation, “Let’s call it the ’Eye of the Star Plan’; the name ’Eye of the Star’ seems quite fitting.”
The Eye of the Star, the eye of the Starlight Continent, perfectly aligns with the purpose of the monitoring network.
Thus, after the Secondary Magic Stone vein and the teleportation network plan, the Star Alliance embarked on another grand project named the ’Eye of the Star Plan’.
…
With the Eye of the Star matter coming to a close, Sunan was able to free his hands and continue to focus on the construction of the Wizard Tower.
After synthesizing the large Maze Lock Protective Energy Field, the defensive part of the Wizard Tower’s combat devices was declared complete. In terms of offense, only the Spell Tower II and the Golem Legion remained.
While Sunan was fully engaged in crafting golems and the Spell Tower, Tower Spirit No. 1 suddenly delivered a message.
The life aura in the Traveler’s cultivation room had disappeared.
Upon receiving this news, Sunan immediately opened the Traveler’s cultivation room. What met his eyes was the still body of the Traveler sitting cross-legged on the ground.
A sweep of his Spiritual Power confirmed that the life aura of the Traveler had completely dissipated.
In the end, he still couldn’t overcome the final hurdle.
Before breaking through, his life had reached its end.
The Scepter, who arrived later, sighed at this sight, feeling both a sense of melancholy and a hint of relief.
The sadness was for a friend’s failure and demise.
The relief was because he was fortunate enough to break through; otherwise, he would have met the same fate as the Traveler.
“What a pity, by the looks of the Traveler, he probably only needed a little more,” the Scepter sighed.
Even now, dense Energy Particles still surrounded the Traveler’s corpse, clearly indicating that his Talent Crystal Model’s structure had reached its final step. If he could have held on for a few more years, he might have crossed that barrier.
Yet this final step often marks the difference between heaven and earth.
Many Wizard Apprentices fall short by just this step.
Being a Wizard and having seen many similar cases, Sunan and the Scepter quickly adjusted their emotions.
“I wonder how Rose is doing now?”
“Her life aura is still there; at least she hasn’t failed yet.”
“Fakado and the others are also planning on seclusion training soon. Not to mention others, Fakado has a fairly high chance of breaking through.”
As the head of the Russell Clan, Fakado’s circumstances were much better than those of an ordinary Wizard Apprentice.
He had been heavily invested in by his clan since his youth, smoothly advancing to a Level 3 Wizard Apprentice, and later joined the Star Alliance, obtaining even more abundant resources.
Speaking of who among the academy’s mentors had the greatest likelihood of advancing to a Wizard, it was undoubtedly Fakado.
Sunan nodded noncommittally.
The Starlight Academy had now entered a stable development phase.
The three-tier construction of Wizard Apprentices was already quite complete, and sooner or later, a third or fourth Wizard would appear.
Especially with the completion of the large Elemental Pool, which significantly lowered the difficulty of infusing Spiritual Power into the Talent Crystal Model, thereby increasing the success rate of an apprentice advancing to a Wizard significantly.
In a few hundred more years, the number of Wizards in the Star Alliance would likely soar to double digits.
“Whether Rose can break through should be a matter of recent years,” Sunan said.
However, things developed much faster than he had anticipated.
Just three months later, intense Energy Particle fluctuations erupted once again inside the Wizard Tower.
Rose had advanced to Wizard!
Following Sunan and the Scepter, the Star Alliance welcomed its third Official Wizard.
The two of them were the first to arrive outside Rose’s cultivation room to wait.
Whoosh!
The door to the cultivation room opened, and Rose came out with a radiant spirit that seemed deeper and more profound.
“Congratulations.”
“Congratulations on advancing to Wizard.”
Sunan and the Scepter both offered their congratulations.
“Thank you.”
Rose’s face bloomed with a beaming smile; successfully advancing to Wizard made her extraordinarily excited.
Just like the Scepter before, in this moment, she also felt as if the world had suddenly opened up before her.
“By the way, where is the Traveler?” Rose asked, seeing that only Sunan and the Scepter were there, with curiosity.
Sunan did not answer, just shook his head.
Seeing this, Rose immediately understood, and the joy from her breakthrough and advancement quickly diminished, her smile retreating as she sighed.
“Such things will continue to happen in the future; you’ll get used to it,” the Scepter comforted her.
Rose was not a sentimental girl and soon collected her emotions, seeking advice from the two on matters following her advancement to Wizard.
After hearing about the Wizard’s Expeditions and the plane barrier’s restoration works, Rose was similarly shocked and astonished.
“… Who would have thought there would be such a reason behind the special environment of the Starlight Continent?” Rose’s expression was a mix of worry and relief.
She worried because, after advancing to Wizard, they would have to face the energy particle concentration cap, which would greatly affect their cultivation efficiency.
Relieved because fortunately, this situation would resolve within six hundred years, offering hope for advancing to Level 2 Wizard.
“The restoration of the plane barrier is beyond our control, and it’s useless to worry about it; just focus on cultivation,”
Sunan reassured her, then switched the topic.
“Additionally, I’m planning to appoint you as the Vice President of Starlight Academy, how do you feel about that?”
Rose agreed without much hesitation, for the same reason as the Scepter originally—to enjoy better treatment.
In Sunan’s vision, the high-level positions of Starlight Academy would be entirely held by Wizards, comprised of a President and four Vice Presidents, forming a council that would oversee all matters of Starlight Academy, directly reporting to the leadership of the Star Alliance.
In the future, as the scale of Starlight Academy expands, the number of council members might increase, but for now, this would suffice.
At least until they have enough people to fill all five council positions.
…
With Rose’s joining, the crafting speed of the Spell Tower and Refined Gold Golems significantly increased.
Just as the Mithril had accumulated sufficiently, Sunan temporarily delegated this part of the job to Rose and the Scepter and began the creation of the Floating Ring.
Starlight Calendar 1370, in the month of Summer Loth (June).
The Floating Ring was completed, finalizing the energy supply part of the Starlight Wizard Tower.
Starlight Calendar 1372, in the month of Bud Flower (May).
Sunan synthesized the three hundredth Spell Tower II and placed it on the Wizard Tower.
Thus, the Wizard Tower’s long-range strike capability was completed.
This included three hundred Spell Tower IIs and one Dissociation Cannon II.
This firepower is the best amount the large Elemental Pool can support, and having more serves no additional purpose.
Starlight Calendar 1373, in the month of Thunderous Roar (April).
Fakado successfully advanced to Wizard, becoming the fourth Official Wizard of the Star Alliance, and the very next day after his breakthrough, he was appointed by Sunan as the second Vice President of Starlight Academy.
However, simultaneously, four Level 3 Wizard Apprentices failed in their breakthroughs, meeting their natural end.
Starlight Calendar 1385, in the month of Harvest (September).
The internal Golem Legion of the Wizard Tower was completed, including five thousand Enchanted Refined Gold Golems, twenty Master-Touch Puppets, and five Secret Puppets.
At this point, all that remained for the Wizard Tower’s construction were some finishing touches and the creation of the final Tower Spirit.
The following year, Sunan crafted Tower Spirit No. 3, specifically for command in battle.
However, considering that combat wouldn’t occur for quite some time, Sunan temporarily assigned Tower Spirit No. 3 to manage Dragon Forest.
As for the Steward No. 1 of the Dragon Remains Tower, it was tasked to assist Tower Spirit No. 3.
Starlight Calendar 1387, in the month of Revival (February).
The Starlight Wizard Tower was officially completed.
