Synthetic Wizard - Chapter 405 - 241: Spirit Talisman, Giant Dragon Legion

Sunan quickly met the unfortunate traveling Wizard.
After being brought back by the Secret Puppets, he was detained in the detention room of Ghost Lake City’s second base, guarded by five Secret Puppets.
The man was quite composed, sitting cross-legged to meditate and practice after entering the detention room, without a trace of panic.
It wasn’t until Sunan and Lize walked in that he opened his eyes and looked at Sunan.
Earlier, during his conversation with Lize, he had already learned that the true leader of the Star Alliance would come to see him, and it was clearly the person in front of him.
“It’s a pleasure to meet you, Sir. My name is Tanner Albert, and I am a traveling Mage.”
Tanner stood up and saluted, showing full respect.
From the power displayed by the Star Alliance before, its leader was at least a Level 2 Wizard.
It was wise to show enough respect when facing a Wizard of a higher level.
Not to mention that his life and death were now in the other person’s hands.
“I apologize for trespassing on your territory, but please believe me, sir, it was not intentional.”
Sunan smiled slightly, “I already know the details, and I believe you did not do it on purpose.”
If Tanner had truly intended to invade Starlight Continent maliciously, he would not be alone.
Moreover, the opponent didn’t strike to kill in the two battles, evidently bearing no ill will toward the Star Alliance.
“Thank you for your understanding. I will leave the Starlight Continent immediately and not cause you any trouble!”
Upon hearing Sunan’s words, Tanner felt a sense of relief, but the next words from Sunan changed his expression.
“Unfortunately, you may not be able to leave Starlight Continent for the time being.”
“Why?” Tanner’s expression changed, assuming Sunan still had doubts about him.
Seeing this, Sunan didn’t waste words, deactivated the detention room’s Array, and said lightly, “You can try to leave now.”
Tanner felt a surge of doubt and hesitation but still took out a Scroll and tore it open to activate it.
Traveling Wizards usually have multiple interdimensional travel methods at their disposal.
The simpler ones include plane jump Scrolls, while more complex ones encompass Plane Teleportation Arrays.
The item Tanner took out was the former.
To his astonishment, however, although the Scroll was activated, he could not complete the jump, as if the entire plane was sealed off, preventing entry or exit.
“As expected.”
Watching this scene, Sunan thought to himself that his guess was indeed correct.
Tanner’s arrival was purely a rare coincidence, much like encountering void turbulence during dimensional travel and landing in an unknown plane.
The dimensional barrier of Starlight Continent still hadn’t been fully lifted.
Tanner would need extraordinarily good fortune to replicate the previous accidental incident.
“What’s going on?” Tanner asked in shock, looking at Sunan and Lize.
He could sense that Sunan wasn’t secretly hindering him, using Magic or an Array like a ’Dimension Anchor’ to restrict dimensional jumping. Based on the feedback from the Scroll, it seemed that this plane itself was strongly resisting any presence entering or exiting.
Lize glanced at Sunan, seeing he had no intention of speaking, she took it upon herself to explain the current state of the Starlight Continent.
After hearing that the Starlight Continent was under a dimensional barrier that would take nearly three hundred years to repair and lift, Tanner felt distraught.
If so, wouldn’t he have to stay on the Starlight Continent for two to three hundred years before he could leave?
It’s known that a Level 1 Wizard’s lifespan is around a thousand years at most, and even using various means, it’s hard to exceed two thousand years.
Spending a tenth or even a fifth of a life on the same plane would be an enormous torment for a traveling Wizard.
In that moment, Tanner felt an overwhelming sense of despair.
It was just his luck to be accidentally transported to a plane under lockdown!
Sunan and Lize looked at Tanner with some sympathy.
The chance of something like this happening was probably less than one in a million, yet Tanner had encountered it. It could only be said that he was extremely unfortunate.
After sighing for a while, Tanner hesitated, “Sir, could I ask you a favor?”
Sunan shook his head and said, “If you want me to help you leave the Starlight Continent, then I’m afraid I can’t help.”
Tanner hesitated and then sighed, not saying any more.
He was quite aware that leaving the Starlight Continent was a pipe dream under a dimensional barrier.
Returning to his original plane through the Shadow Realm was even more absurd.
Outer planes have a commonality: return to where you came from.
From whichever plane you enter an outer plane, you can only return to that original plane—this is determined by dimensional characteristics.
Therefore, crossing from the Shadow Realm to the Starlight Continent was already a low-probability event; he was confused and didn’t understand the reason himself.
Even if he could enter the Shadow Realm now, he wouldn’t be able to return to his original plane.
The only solution was to wait for the end of the dimensional barrier.
“You can stay on the Starlight Continent, wander around, and if you need any help, you can find Lize.”
Reassuring Tanner with these words, Sunan turned around and left.
Back in the study, Lize asked, “Are you really going to just let him go?”
“What else? He hasn’t offended the Star Alliance, should we lock him up?”
Sunan spread his hands.
“Besides, with the Starlight Eye monitoring network, his whereabouts aren’t a secret to us. As long as he doesn’t harbor any nefarious thoughts, what’s the harm in letting him stay here?”
Lize thought about it and agreed, given the scale of the Star Alliance now, there was no need to worry too much about a mere Level 1 liquefied Wizard.
