- Chapter 417 - 246: Total Annihilation on the First Day (Part 2)

“Yes.” Attila’s expression was exhilarated, “According to the information from the Witch Hunting Legion, out of the fourteen energy particle fluctuations, eleven are from the Dark Throne, and the remaining three are unrecorded Level 3 Wizard Apprentices.”
“Including the one caught before, there are a total of twelve wizards.” Sunan’s eyes flickered, “What are their strength levels?”
“All are Level 1 Wizards, the strongest is a Level 1 Crystallization Wizard.”
Sunan felt assured in his heart; the number of people and their strength were exactly as he remembered, unchanged.
Lize smiled easily and said, “The Dark Throne probably didn’t expect a monster like you to emerge from nothing and establish a wizard influence on the Starlight Continent, which made them underestimate the difficulty of conquering it and only sent such a small number over.”
Sunan smiled without saying a word.
In fact, a formation of twelve Level 1 Wizards is enough to conquer some weaker planes.
The Starlight Continent, just recovering from the Elemental Desert, is considered a weak plane in the eyes of the Dark Throne, so their arrangement is not wrong.
Moreover, the Dark Throne actually sent more than just this number of people.
“Don’t let down your guard, this is just the first wave, the truly formidable ones are yet to come.”
Lize frowned and said, “Could it be Level 2 Wizards?”
“Not only that.” Sunan chuckled, not elaborating further, and asked Attila, “Where are those people?”
“They have all been captured by the Witch Hunting Legion and are currently held in the detention area.”
“Let’s go and take a look.”
…
Detention area.
In the silent and cold detention room, Andrew sat on the ground with a listless expression, his face a pale grey.
This place was specifically designed for imprisoning wizards; the floor, walls, and ceiling were engraved with arrays to seal Spiritual Power and weaken the physique.
In addition to that, he was encased in Demon-Banning Shackles.
The Spiritual Power in the depths of his Sea of Consciousness had completely settled, unable to be summoned even a bit.
Now, he was only slightly stronger than a knight; forget about dealing with the layers of guards outside, he couldn’t even break through the specially-made prison cell door.
Andrew still couldn’t snap back to reality.
He thought this invasion of the Starlight Continent would be an easy achievement; who would’ve thought there would be wizards here, and not just one.
It caught him completely off guard.
“Those two guys must be from the top ranks of the Star Alliance!”
Andrew recalled the two wizards who defeated him.
Be it Middle Level talent crystals or witchcraft artifacts, these were rare in the Wizard World.
Within a third-rate wizard influence, usually only the core top ranks could possess them.
Since those two had Middle Level talent crystals and witchcraft artifacts, their position in the Star Alliance must be high.
Thinking of this, Andrew felt both regret and anger.
If he had known there were such formidable wizards in the Star Alliance, he shouldn’t have split up with his companions.
Luckily, they came as twelve people this time, including Evan, a Level 1 Crystallization Wizard, with a strong lineup.
They should soon discover his disappearance and come to rescue him.
Andrew couldn’t believe it; how could the Star Alliance resist the combined assault of eleven wizards!
Just while thinking, a sudden heavy footstep echoed from the corridor outside.
Andrew frowned, thinking it was the Star Alliance coming to interrogate him, sneering darkly, he looked up.
But this glance immediately widened his eyes.
Steel golems arrived before the detention room’s door; each hand gripped a person with a haggard face, pale complexion, clearly all seriously injured.
Coincidentally, Andrew was quite familiar with these people.
Milton, Wilson, Hargreaves, Casper… even his hopeful Evan!
The first batch of Dark Throne wizards who entered the Starlight Continent, aside from him, all eleven were here!
Andrew’s face turned extremely pale in an instant, his chest filled with intense shock and disbelief.
He never expected that their ambitious return to the Starlight Continent would result in total annihilation on the first day, all falling into the hands of the enemy!
What on earth happened?
For a moment, Andrew felt an absurd, dream-like sensation.
Clang!
The iron gate opened, steel golems tossed each Dark Throne wizard into the detention room, then shut the door, leaving slowly.
The eleven wizards were already seriously injured and further suppressed and weakened by the array and Demon-Banning Shackles, their physiques weakened to the extreme, this fall instantly made them feel faint, almost blacking out.
After lying on the ground and regaining senses over time, they slowly began to recover, struggling to get up from the ground.
The twelve exchanged glances, speechless, not knowing what to say for a while.
After a long silence, Evan finally spoke in a hoarse voice, breaking the quiet.
“How did they catch you all?”
Milton chuckled bitterly, “I was stopped by a group of steel golems and refined gold golems right as I entered the city, not long after, five wizard-level puppets appeared, I couldn’t match them, so I got captured.”
Andrew was immediately shocked.
Five wizard-level puppets?!
What’s going on?
But what shocked him the most was yet to come, other wizards spoke out one after another.
“Me too, I was ambushed by five wizard-level puppets shortly after entering the city!”
“I didn’t even make it into town, was ambushed by five wizard-level puppets in the wilderness!”
“I was a bit worse off, seven wizard-level puppets attacked me!”
After a brief exchange, the detention room fell into a deathly silence again.
The stagnant atmosphere filled every inch of space.
Everyone’s face turned very grim.
Clearly, they had been hit in such a close timeframe.
Which also meant the enemy had enough troops to capture them all at once.
Roughly calculated, the enemy dispatched about sixty wizard-level puppets in this operation!
This was absolutely shocking!
Meaning there might already be a qualified wizard influence on the Starlight Continent!
Only a wizard influence could have enough capability to craft so many wizard-level puppets.
What they couldn’t fathom was that the Starlight Continent had been in an Elemental Desert state for the last thousand years, finding it extremely difficult to produce Official Wizards, how on earth did a wizard influence form here?
How could this be anything but incredible!
Most shocked among them was Andrew.
He originally thought the Star Alliance had at most a few wizards, never imagined there would be that many wizard-level puppets!
Crucially, being able to craft that many wizard-level puppets indicated the Star Alliance likely had Level 2 Wizards!
Clearly his earlier guess was dreadfully wrong; the two wizards who defeated him were far from being Star Alliance high ranks and likely just two among several.
The strength of the Star Alliance was far greater than he imagined!
Seemingly noticing Andrew remained quiet throughout, Evan turned to him, asking, “Andrew, how did they catch you?”
Andrew snapped back, speaking hoarsely, “I was captured by two wizards during an ambush.”
He suddenly remembered the intelligence he extracted from Viscount Karen, hurriedly relaying it.
Upon hearing this, everyone had a change of expression.
Unlike Andrew, they were all captured before gathering intelligence, understanding the enemy only in speculation; only now did they fully learn of the Star Alliance’s existence.
“Thousands of Wizard Apprentices, and a Wizard Academy, where does this Star Alliance wizard influence get so many resources?”
“I reckon the Star Tower was destroyed by the Star Alliance!”
“What really happened on the Starlight Continent over this millennium?”
Unease and confusion filled everyone’s hearts.
Just then, footsteps suddenly sounded from outside the corridor.
The sound was light, evidently not the steps of golems.
Everyone’s expressions shifted, looking up to see a man and woman leisurely approaching the detention room door.
“Nice to meet you, members of the Dark Throne.”
The man among them spoke with a half-smile, watching them with amused eyes.
