Chapter 486: The Grand Ball Begins
Hearing those words, his women all began to show similar smiles. As they were beginning to worry that maybe Ash had changed.
But that statement let them know all they needed to know.
The room filled with soft, knowing laughter and light banter as they finished dressing.
Rune adjusted the straps of her sleek black dress with silver runes along the sides, her silver eyes sparkling as she glanced at Ash.
“You always know how to say the right thing when we start overthinking,” she said, with a chuckle.
Morgana, in a deep crimson gown that hugged her bronze curves, laughed as she helped Katherine zip up the back of her blood-red dress.
“Right, I was wondering when the erasing would begin…” She added in.
Katherine turned, her bloody eyes gleaming as she adjusted the neckline of her dress to show just enough skin.
“Hmm, you all worry too much.” She said, “My husband could never go without a good erasure… or just pure destruction.”
Persephone, wearing a flowing white gown that accentuated her elegant figure, smiled warmly as she stepped closer to Ash.
“Yeah but tell me…. how do I look?”
The other wives chimed in with their own teasing, posing in all kinds of ways looknig for his acceptance.
Ash took a moment to admire them as they finished getting ready, his golden eyes lingering with clear appreciation.
Sonna was stunning in a sleek blue dress that matched her hair, the fabric catching the light with every graceful move.
Sandra’s form-fitting crimson gown hugged her toned figure, highlighting her curves and exuding confidence.
Lysa’s deep red dress hugged her curvy, voluptuous figure, the neckline dipping just enough to tease.
Rune’s black-and-silver gown carried an elegant yet dangerous allure, the faintly glowing runes adding a touch of mystery.
Morgana’s crimson dress set off her bronze skin and strong build, making her appear both regal and fierce.
Katherine’s bold blood-red gown matched the fiery intensity in her gaze. Persephone’s flowing white dress swirled around her with grace, giving her an almost otherworldly beauty.
And it continued, as each of his wives radiated a beauty that was simply unfathomable.
His daughters were just as breathtaking — Clara in her glittering gold dress, Riona in a sleek black outfit with blade-like accents, Emily in a soft, flowing white gown, and the others in unique styles that perfectly reflected their personalities.
Ash’s smile grew wider as he admired them all. “You all look incredible,” he said warmly.
“Tonight’s going to be unforgettable.”
Clara twirled once, a smile lighting up her face.
“Dad, you’re staring… pretty hard.”
Aliya shot Ash a playful wink.
“I mean, can you blame him? He’s got some beautiful women around him~”
As their banter carried on, Rita, one of the triplets, piped up.
“Daddy, where’s Mother Nia?”
Upon hearing this, Ash gave a casual wave of the hand.
“Do not concern yourself with her. She will return shortly—she is simply addressing matters in her own manner.”
The group exchanged a few more lighthearted remarks and soft laughter as they completed their preparations.
As they began their descent down the grand staircases toward the venue, Ash glanced toward Creara.
“My love… activate the invitations.”
Creara smiled and snapped her fingers.
In that moment, every invitation sent across existence activated.
—-
When they made to the Venue each of the women took their seats.
Each member of the Pantheon had a throne that formed a semi-circle on a raised dais.
And in the middle of it all, Ash’s throne sat in the center of it all.
As they sat down, Ash stayed back a bit looking out over the grand hall before people began to appear.
“The boys should be appearing shortly… in the meantime though.” He said as he flashed them all smiles.
“I have a few things to take care of before things get truly started… So, enjoy the beginning of the night.~”
With that, he disappeared in a swirl of light.
As the hall began to fill, the wives and children exchanged knowing glances.
Sonna smiled gently.
“He always does this—vanishes right before the big moment.” Madison chuckled.
“He’s probably cooking up something dramatic. Classic Ash.”
—–
With Ash’s departure, it wasn’t long before beings began to roll in.
And… Ancestor Seeker was the first to arrive.
She stepped through the activated portal with her usual graceful composure, her long brown hair and warm brown eyes taking in the scene.
The moment she appeared; she raised a brow at the sight before her.
’Hmm?’ She thought internally.
A raised dais dominated the center of the hall, upon which sat a semi-circle of elegant thrones.
Each one was occupied by a member of the Ineffable Pantheon — powerful beings whose presence now radiated at the same level as her own, some even heavier.
She recognized them all from the appearance they made not long ago, but she was truly shocked to see that their levels had grown so much.
Seeker’s eyes finally settled on Luna, who was seated on one of the thrones, looking regal and composed in an elegant gown.
A faint yet sincere smile curved Seeker’s lips as she advanced with measured steps, offering a slight, respectful inclination of her head.
“Luna,” she greeted warmly, her tone carrying genuine regard. “It is good to see you again. You appear well.”
Luna’s own smile reflected the sentiment, her eyes softening.
“Ancestor Seeker…. I am pleased you could attend.” Their exchange was brief and cordial, a composed acknowledgment between old friends.
Around them, the portals shimmered as more guests arrived, gradually filling the grand hall with an atmosphere woven from awe, restrained tension, and quiet curiosity.
Creara appeared in her full form, long black-and-red hair flowing elegantly, the red infinity symbol beneath her eye glowing faintly.
She stepped forward with graceful confidence, her voice carrying clearly across the hall.
“Welcome, everyone, to a night you will not forget.”
Snap!
With a snap of her fingers, long elegant tables materialized throughout the venue, laden with exquisite refreshments — rare fruits, fine wines, and delicacies from across Pantheos.
Ash’s concubines then began to emerge from side entrances, moving with poised elegance as they offered drinks and food to the guests.
Creara smiled, her tone warm but commanding.
“Please, everyone, make yourselves comfortable. The first round of events will commence shortly.”
The guests began to settle, murmurs of conversation rising as they took their seats and sampled the offerings.
And… The commencement of the Grand Ball was now unmistakably underway.
