The Broken Halo - Chapter 351: Healing His Body

Chapter 351: 351: Healing His Body
Simon’s train of thoughts were moving at a very rapid pace, and the more he thought about the solution that was in his mind, the brighter his gaze became.
’If I’m right, then this entire Mind War Theatre Array, this simulation… might actually be a place where I’m nearly invincible.’
There was something Simon realized, something that majority of the first years would not realize on their own until they either become second years, third years, or maybe even never at all.
This was a simulation. A mental array.
Despite how real it felt and how painful every attack felt, their physical bodies were completely safe.
The current bodies they had was just a manifestation of their minds.
It was also using very little mental energy, and Simon realized that since this was not his physical body, he could easily recover from any wounds as long as he had enough mental energy.
He was not like the children in his class who had weak minds.
No
While many of them would have severe headaches and appear in the real world once they have been killed in the Mind War Theatre Array, he would not.
’Let’s see if it’ll work. If it does, then I can heal from any injuries in this place and I can even strengthen myself to a ridiculous degree.’
’But I won’t do that since it’ll do me more harm than good. I’m sure questions would be asked about what I did to the Bulwark demon.’
He closed his eyes, then he focused on his body in the simulation.
He tried to find the connection between his body in the mind array and his physical body.
It didn’t take him long to do this, and the moment he did, his body began to heal.
His mental energy was depleting at a faster rate, but it was nothing to Simon.
A few seconds later, his body was completely healed, stunning everybody that was watching.
The first years were extremely stunned and confused.
Many of them began to ask themselves if Simon had a regeneration skill. But wouldn’t that be… unfair to them?
Many of them were beginning to acknowledge the fact that Simon was in a league of its own.
None of them were able to defeat him, and those who had the ability to defeat him or give him a tough time where nonchalant about the things he had done.
The only time where they could have seen Simon fall was when the Bulwark demon held his neck.
However, Simon seemed to have found a way to avoid certain death, leading to them subconsciously placing Simon on a higher pedestal in their minds.
If Simon had a regeneration skill which seemed to be absolutely broken and absurd, then how would they ever win?
How would they overthrow him?
Were they destined to forever be under Simon’s thumb?
“Did they make him a slave just to mock us?” One of the first years could not help but speak out his mind.
Others surprisingly chose to remain silent.
While the first years believed that Simon had a completely absurd regeneration skill, Instructor Amahi had an expression of complete disbelief behind her mask.
She knew exactly what Simon had done, and she was completely shocked that Simon was able to do such a thing.
It was not a difficult thing to do per say, but many demons that were Simon’s age and even older than Simon would not be able to think of such a thing.
They would accept their deaths with either leave or regret.
’The boy that asked if the clan made Broken Halo a slave to mock them is right to ask that question.’
’This child is talented when it comes to battle. He was able to spot the weakness of the Bulwarks. He’s cruel and vicious enough to use tricks and to kill his enemies by any means possible.’
’He never panicked like the others when he first arrived at the battlefield. He analyzed the battlefield, took note of his surroundings and the environment, and chose the place he believes to be the best location to get the reward.’
’His usage of demonic energy is exceptional as I’ve heard, but now it seems like he has some talent in the mental path.’
’By all means, he should be valued by the clan. Why exactly is he treated as a slave? Even with my authority, I could never find the answer.’
’Or do I need to pull some strings?’
She furrowed her brows deeply as she had these thoughts, and her eyes could not help but flicker as she watched Simon with a tinge of excitement and anticipation.
Meanwhile, Simon stood and dusted his body after completely healing his injuries.
He was as good as new, and he even felt more refreshed and full of energy than ever before.
’I guess this class is going to be a breeze from now on.’
He shifted his gaze to the corpse of the Bulwark demon, then he shook his head.
’If I knew that Bulwark demons had very weak minds, I wouldn’t have struggled with the little I fought in the past.’
’I had to create a new sword art back then just to kill it, and my sword even broke after the battle’
He shook his head slightly as he reminisced over the past.
’Yeah. In this life, I’m definitely going to be a lot stronger than I was in my past life. Mind path, chaos rune path, fist path, and sword path.’
’The future is looking good.’
His lips curled into a light smile, then he started jogging at a slightly fast pace.
Fortunately for him, none of the other Bulwarks had come to attack him after killing one of their own.
He was half expecting that, but this was a war and many Bulwarks were trying to protect themselves or gain war achievements.
What achievement could they gain killing a mere Fiend?
As for Simon, he decided to reach the northern tower quietly rather than being so loud.
He had nearly died for being so loud.
Time to change his method.
