The seer explained by saying, “Dragons are innately blessed and don’t need to become divine beings to have extraordinary talent.”

“It is humans that need to become divine beings before they can raise the limit of their talent. And that’s only because talent stops being relevant when they become divine beings.”

Loki’s brows furrowed when he heard this. As someone with a large energy well, which serves as the greatest part of his power, he didn’t like the idea that talent would become irrelevant at rank 6.

So he said, “How and why does talent become irrelevant as a divine being?”

The seer said, “When a rank 5 cultivator advances to rank 6, their Power Core, which used to be their Energy Well, and their Mental World will fuse to become their Cave Heaven. The outcome of this fusion will also determine the grade of the Life Fire.”

“The higher the grade of the Life Fire, the longer the lifespan they will get, the longer the divine being can live, and the more difficult they will be to kill. So the size and power of the Power Core are very important to the power of a divine being.”

“However, after the Life Fire has been ignited and the Cave Heaven has been formed, the size of the Power Core will become irrelevant because it will stop existing. In response, Loki raised an eyebrow and said, “Divine beings have to burn special resources for lifespan? I thought the extra lifespan was automatic.”

The tiny ego shook its head as it said in reply, “Extra lifespan isn’t free. You have to sacrifice something to gain lifespan.”

“Divine beings gain extra lifespan by sacrificing special resources to their Life Fire. The higher the grade of the Life Fire, the higher its efficiency in converting resources to Lifespan.”

“The maximum efficiency of conversion of the Life Fire is 50%. The lowest is 1%. Life fire that cannot reach 1% in conversion efficiency will fail to ignite and will lead to a failure in ascension. The consequence of such a failure is the destruction of the soul.”

After mulling over what the seer had said for a few seconds, Loki asked, “Does that mean that divine beings can have infinite lifespans as long as they have something to sacrifice?”
