Her voice was dripping with disdain as she said, “They thought they could control divine power, but it turned out that they had only overestimated themselves. Serves them right.”

The raven-haired woman snorted before saying, “Don’t be so happy yet. I didn’t say that they were all killed. In fact, most of them survived.”

This information turned the face of the red-haired woman sour. She frowned as she said, “What happened?”

Her friend replied, saying, “As it happened, the scholars were prepared for this outcome. They had a talisman that had been prepared to target the will of the world and quickly released.”

“I was too far away when it happened, so all I saw was a white flash of light. But some people who were close by saw what they did, so they said that the talisman released white silk that entered the array and wrestled back control of it.”

Then she shrugged and said, “Anyway, they got back control of the array. Then they controlled it to create an elemental storm that covered the whole world. The elemental storm then proceeded to attack everyone from the four sects.”

“I experienced the elemental storm personally, so trust me when I say it was as if the world was ending. The earth beneath my feet was breaking and swallowing everything. Then it grew spikes that rose into the air to stab the targets.”

“That was just the earth. The air had also turned hostile. There was a terrible wind that was as sharp as blades that moved through the small world, cutting enemies into pieces.”

“Fire erupted from the ground to incinerate enemies, and raindrops that were as sharp as spears were falling from the sky. It was truly the end of the world. I almost died.”

Loki wasn’t surprised to hear this, as he had seen something like this in the minds of the disciples of the Myriad Phenomenon Sect when he took control of them. But the other lady was surprised to hear about it.

Her mouth was agape in shock as she listened. When her friend was done speaking about that near-death experience, the red-haired woman asked in disbelief, “How are you still alive despite how bad things were?”

At this point, the friend sighed and said, “It is all because one of the rank 5 cultivators of our sect had a rank 6 zombie. That zombie was able to destroy the core of the array, which put a stop to the elemental storm.”

“Then the rank 6 zombie marched through the world with an army of hundreds of thousands of undead, killing everyone. That’s how we were able to turn the tide.”

The red-haired woman finally relaxed when she heard this. She patted her chest to calm her beating heart and said, “So we won?”

This question made her friend chuckle and say, “We won. But it nearly wasn’t so.”

The red-haired woman rolled her eyes and said, “Oh, come in. What happened again?”

The raven-haired woman shook her head as she said, “You should have been there to experience it yourself. I had just barely escaped the elemental storm, and the army of undead was sweeping through the world when the pillar of light suddenly appeared.”

“Apparently, while the will of the world, us, and the Myriad Phenomenon Sect were at each other’s throats, the Nexus of Truth Sect had found the symbol of authority and had taken control of it.”

“If not for the fact that they had to keep possession of the symbol of authority for 24 hours uninterrupted, we would have lost. Even then, we nearly lost because they had this rank 5 seer who could copy any ability used against her.”

At this point, the speaker had become animated. She was waving her hands to gesticulate, and her voice had risen by a pitch.

She said, “There were two seers working together, and they were very powerful. The one who could copy abilities was able to copy the hammer of our rank 5 forger and do something to the hammer that turned it into a white phantom hammer.”

“Then the seer used the white phantom hammer to attack everyone, including the rank 5 forger. The rank 5 forger also turned her hammer into a white phantom, but it was too late. The white phantom hammer of the seer struck her and killed her.”

Then she turned to her friend and asked with bright eyes full of excitement, saying, “Can you believe that? She was killed by her own hammer. It was an absurd sight.”

Her friend shook her head to indicate her disbelief, but the raven-haired woman ignored her reaction and continued to speak.

She said, “I ran away when I saw this. I didn’t dare stick around for fear of being implicated. But the rank 5 money cultivator that was leading us wasn’t so cowardly.”

“That rank 5 money cultivator stepped forward to fight, but she was blinded by another seer. She couldn’t see, so she couldn’t use her Life’s Worth Life Ability. Then the seer that can copy any ability smashed her to pieces with the hammer.”
