Chapter 456: Threats And Venom.

A world guardian still didn’t show up after the second city, so he moved on to the third one. He was halfway done eating the third city when an unexpected guest showed up.

The unexpected guest was a man with blue eyes and blue hair. He was the mind hunter on his team.

The man came up to Loki, shouting as he said, “What are you doing? Do you want to bring the whole world down on us? Are you crazy?”

After shouting, he said, “Don’t you know that the more natives we kill, the more hostility from the world we will draw? Do you want to die?”

Loki glanced at him before saying, “If this place is so dangerous, why are you here?”

The mind hunter lied, saying, “I am just worried about you and came to warn you.”

Then he said, “By the way, what is this thing that you’re using to kill them? It looks powerful.”

In response, Loki rolled his eyes and said, “You only came because you covet my power. When you lie next time, use a better lie. At least, don’t underestimate the intelligence of your fellow rank 5 cultivators.”

Loki exposed his true intentions with those words and even ridiculed him, but the man wasn’t ashamed. Instead of feeling shame, he only felt anger.

He sneered at Loki and said, “Here I thought I could play around with you for a while, and if you’re reasonable, I will let you go. But it seems you want me to use force on you.”

His words dripped with mockery as he said, “Not only do you want me to use force on you, but you also don’t think I am strong enough to force you. Where did you get your source of confidence? Do you think this shell on you will protect you from me?”

He is not a divine being, so he can’t destroy someone’s Mental World. Once the target dies, their Mental World will slip away into the afterlife and carry away the memories of their actions with it.

So when the rank 5 enemy reincarnates in the future, they will remember him. But he won’t know them and won’t be able to guard against them. This is why he was hoping to use a non-violent approach to get what he wanted from Loki.

Unfortunately, Loki was not appreciative of his consideration and exposed him as if he were begging to be looked down on. So he has decided to torture Loki for a while to teach the forger a lesson.

He sneered and said, “You will regret what you just did. I’ll make sure of it.”

In response, Loki said, “How annoying.”

Then he covered the mind hunter with the black blanket.

The mind hunter was still sneering when he saw Loki do this. He even said, “Do you think you’re the only one with a Mental World? Do you think I am as useless as these people that you’ve been bullying? Let me tell you now that you’re messing with someone you shouldn’t have dared to.”

As he spoke, the multicolored mark on his forehead glowed brightly, and a blue blanket erupted from his forehead. The blue blanket clashed with the black blanket and created a reaction similar to an explosion.

The explosion caused by the clash between the influence of the two Mental Worlds was supposed to injure Loki and make him suffer a backlash. After all, he was the one who bit more than he could chew.

At the very least, Loki’s Mental World should crack. That’s what the mind hunter expected.

As someone in possession of a Cave Heaven, he was very confident of his estimates. So he was very surprised by what happened next.

At that moment, he felt terror and fear. He didn’t want to die, so he didn’t dare to delay and quickly called out his Cave Heaven to resist the power that had imprisoned him.

His Cave Heaven appeared like a light in the darkness. As the Cave Heaven appeared, the darkness around him loosened, and the force binding him eased its power. It seemed that he would be able to break free.

However, the force of the darkness only reduced in power. The force didn’t disappear completely. At best, he could now talk, but escaping was out of the question.

He quickly used his newfound privilege to speak to say, “Don’t do this. I’m sorry for how I behaved. Let me make it up to you.”

In response, Loki said in disdain, “If you were a divine being with a Divine Position, you would have the right to be cocky and disrespectful to me because you would be able to escape now. But you’re not, so you’re screwed.”

This wasn’t what the mind hunter wanted to hear. But since begging didn’t work, he decided to resort to using threats.

So his face became contorted by rage as he said angrily, “Do you think you will get away with it if you kill me?”

It was a rhetorical question. He wasn’t expecting an answer from Loki and he immediately said with venom, “I will always come for you.”
