He raised his voice and glared mat Loki as he said, “I will reincarnate after you kill me, and I will tell everyone that you have a Mental World that can eat anything. I will hunt you and obstruct you every step of the way. If you kill me, I will become your worst nightmare.”

When Loki heard this, he finally said something that the mind hunter wanted to hear. He said, “You have a point.”

Then he said nothing else and continued to pull the mind hunter into his Mental World. As the mind hunter was pulled, his body shrank in size and became more and more powerless to stop the inevitable.

Since Loki wasn’t going to be reasonable and succumb to benefits or threats, the mind hunter lost all hope and began to curse him.

He said, “You damn cocksucker, you will die a painful death. You will suffer for the rest of your days. I wish death upon you forever and ever.”

But Loki didn’t listen to him. Loki was wondering if he should continue eating him or if he should release him for a brief moment to destroy his Cave Heaven before trying to eat him again.

This is a decision that he was prompted to make when he noticed that the Cave Heaven was not under the influence of his Mental World. As he watched, he noticed that the Cave Heaven was in another dimension, and he hadn’t really made contact with it, so he might not be able to eat it.

At the end of the day, Loki decided that he didn’t want to risk anything. He felt that releasing the mind hunter might create an unfortunate situation in which the mind hunter uses the brief moment to escape.

After making his decision, he said to himself, ’Maybe the Cave Heaven will be exposed after its owner dies. Even if it is exposed for a single second, that will be enough to grab it.’

He had decided to prioritize killing the reincarnated divine being now so that there would be no chance of his plan for this Heavenly Battlefield being interrupted. As for what will happen after the Heavenly Battlefield in some later future, he decided to worry about it later if it ever becomes an issue.

However, this didn’t mean that he had given up on taking that Cave Heaven. If he could get a brief opportunity to capture the Cave Heaven and eat it, he would do so in order to destroy any seed of trouble.

While he was considering his future and thinking of important things, the mind hunter was thinking about something equally important. The mind hunter was thinking about his past and how he shouldn’t have come here.

He was still angry about what Loki was doing to him. But he had vented most of his anger, so he had time to say to himself, ’I regret coming here. I shouldn’t have tried to sneak into this world. I shouldn’t have coveted that strange power when I saw it.’

’What I should have done is to focus on my goal of finding and killing the world guardians for their Power Core. Then I should have ended everything by winning that most useful soldier title.’

’Even if I coveted the strange power to eat anything, I definitely shouldn’t have come up here to demand it. I should have used more subtle methods.’

He had gone through a lot of effort to pretend to be an ordinary rank 5 mind hunter and sign up for this world. He had been cautious every step of the way and never dared to expose himself.

When the five divine beings appeared, he had feared that he would be exposed. But he managed to evade their sight and successfully entered this medium world. Things should have worked out well for him from then on.

He should have acquired the Power Core of the world guardians of this medium world and used them to increase his talent. Then, he should have secured the support of the sect through the most useful soldier title so that his return to power would be smoother.

This was a plan he concocted over three months ago when he first saw the medium world appear in the heavens and be subdued. He had decided to risk coming to this particular world because only the Power Core of the world guardians of medium and large worlds can improve talent.

Of all the dangers that he envisioned that he could encounter, he didn’t expect that he would die at the hands of another competitor like him. He was sure that only a divine being could kill him, not another soldier or a world guardian.

He always thought of himself as an apex predator without any threats in this medium world. So he had been full of confidence about the success of his plan when the divine beings didn’t spot him.

It was because of his confidence that he swaggered over to Loki to extort the secret of Loki’s power out of him. But he realized too late that there was another hidden apex predator like him and that it was a bad idea to try to use force against that hidden apex predator because this predator is stronger than him.

Unfortunately for him, it is too late for regrets. He can only make up for this mistake in his next life.

This was his last thought before he disappeared into Loki’s Mental World and down Fenrir’s endless gullet. The only saving grace was that his Cave Heaven didn’t follow him down into that endless gullet.

As Loki watched with expectation, the shadow of the Cave Heaven faded and disappeared. This made him disappointed, and he shook his head in pity.

Since the nuisance was gone, he resumed eating the poor wind people of the third sandstorm city. This city is called Sandville, and even though it was different from Crystal City back in the Central Domain, Loki thought that they tasted the same.
