This has made him decide to sign up for a sect mission to earn some divine merit points. The other reason he decided to prioritize raising his cultivation is that the next level of amplification from his law fragments will take too long to accomplish.

Since other divine beings are not as free as he is and can’t gather any kind of law fragments, he believes that it is reasonable to think that the amount of effort they need to gather the same amount of law fragments as he would require ten times the effort.

So he believes that it would require at least 274 years to gather the 1,000 divine spirit creatures needed to advance to rank 7. While 274 years might seem small, he knows that it is far from small because those same divine beings would have to pay the sect 100 years of lifespan every 10 years.

So during those 274 years of slowly gathering law fragments, they will have to pay the life-leech at least 27 times. That will make a total of 2,700 years of lifespan. Plus the 274 years that they actually live during the process, the total amount of lifespan they will need is 2,974 years.

When he made this calculation in his head, he had to chuckle and say, “I wish it were that simple. Unfortunately for them, it isn’t that simple.”

“First of all, where will they get the 2,974 years of lifespan from? Surely, nearly 3,000 years’ worth of lifespan simply wouldn’t just drop into their laps, right?”

“So they will have to fight for those 2,974 years of lifespan. And when they fight, they will need to burn lifespan.”

“The average conversion efficiency is from a Life Fire created with an Energy Well of 90 units. This makes the Life Fire have a conversion efficiency of 8.26%.”

“So they will actually need some 36,005 years’ worth of world essence and spirit stones before they get the 2,974 years of lifespan that they need to live 274 years needed to raise 1,000 divine spirit beasts and earn 1,000 divine merit points needed to advance to rank 7.”

The more he thought about this, the more he laughed. He found the whole arrangement amusing because it reminded him of the people who owe the sect a lot of money and have to work many lifetimes paying the money back.
