The Last Paragon in the Apocalypse - Chapter 1458 - 1458: Second Void Crystal

As an Immortal, taking out a few thousand Empyreans was as simple as flicking a finger. Efad easily dealt with the wraiths and, without slowing down, advanced quickly.
The last time he was here, he had learned a skill called [Void Manipulation].
This skill allows him to manipulate void energy to form any weapon he wants.
Initially, he was only able to form spears and other basic weapons; however, after using them for a while, he mastered a few additional abilities that gave him more control over the Void Manipulation skill.
Now, he can do more.
He can use an ability called [Void Devour].
This ability allows him to devour all attacks that land on his body or on defenses he constructed using void essence. The absorbed attack is converted into void energy, which he can then use to create his own attacks.
While some attacks can’t be absorbed due to how dangerous they may be, the kind of defense stat he has while inside the void is too much for someone at his level.
Naturally, the [void devour] ability is overpowered thanks to a passive ability he had learned a few days into his first time here.
The [Void Heart EX] causes his attributes to perform at 70,000% of their usual strength when inside the void. Right now, he is surrounded on all sides by the void, so his defense is now 70,000% more powerful.
Unless, of course, the attacks came from people with a much higher understanding of the void than he does, then the [Void Devour] would never fail him.
But for it to fail, his attackers would also have to be much more powerful in terms of cultivation than he is. Klaus is confident he would be able to handle even an Immortal Lord and escape from a Demigod.
So while in here, he is confident in his defence.
So moving toward the second void vortex isn’t too taxing, like it would have been before he became a True Immortal.
More wraiths came his way, but with the kind of attacks he was manifesting, they all died before taking a few steps.
The void fragments kept flooding into his system, but with his current understanding of the void and the strength level of the wraiths he was killing, reaching the Perfect affinity level was not going to be simple at all.
Even so, he kept moving. Eventually, while the wraiths’ cultivation level never increased, he sensed their strength slowly rising.
This made him aware that he was drawing near the second void vortex, and he might soon receive the void fragment.
As if right on cue, after killing a wraith with white eyes, he saw the message flash before his eyes.
⟪You have received a Void Crystal. Toss it into a void vortex and glimpse the truth hidden behind the layers of the void⟫
With the fragment received, he increased the speed of his assault.
He deployed the second ability he received from the Void Manipulation skill, called [Void Zone]. This created a domain vast enough to hold thousands of wraiths.
Those caught within the domain will have 50% of their strength taken away.
Of course, the more they understand the void, the less the domain affects them. However, as long as his understanding is higher, the effect remains at 50%.
These wraiths are very weak.
So the moment he deployed it, all the wraiths became sluggish. But Efad didn’t stop there. He activated one of his immortal rings, using it to activate his gravity law.
This caused a terrible pressure to descend on every last wraith, causing them to explode into smoky fragments.
Efad merely continued to walk forward, leaving the wraiths to the mercy of the domain and gravity.
20 minutes into his dominance, he saw the void vortex appear in sight. This made him advance much faster, and before long, he was standing before the void vortex.
The last time he stood before one, he was ready to toss the first fragment, unsure of what would happen when he did that. But today, he knew that the moment he did, his consciousness would be pulled into the world he had seen the last time.
Thankfully, he was also made aware that while inside the trance, his body would be protected. So he had no fear in that regard.
Lastly, he might end up staying in the memory for a few years, which, on the outside, would be months. Since that was the case, Efad paused and made his other bodies aware of what might happen.
The last time, his Hivemind nearly broke, so there was a good chance it would again. Regardless, there was no telling what he might see or what the general effect would be on him.
Klaus knew he had to protect his other bodies from the effect, so he assigned 500 minds to only Efad. The remaining four bodies would share the 1000 minds left.
After making adequate preparations, he sat down and tossed the fragment in. The next second, his consciousness was pulled away.
He would be inside the memory for a while…

[Inheritance Tower]
Meanwhile, back inside the second floor of the inheritance tower, Kaden stood before a battle doll, his gaze scanning it.
He had been assigned a training mission. His job basically was to train all the skills and techniques they had learned in their past lives.
Although Klaus can use them effortlessly, he still wants to train them in different combat styles. Thankfully, Kaden was created from the Star Monarch Bloodline, so he could utilize the versatile nature of that bloodline to master them.
Since the 9th paragon (star monarch) could transform into any beast he had contracted and use their battle styles even in his human form, this mission would see him blend all kinds of battle styles, techniques, and even laws to create a variety of battle styles.
His mission description included merging a few techniques to create better ones and even creating new ones from scratch. He had many battle dolls, ranging from True Immortals to Immortal Lords, to train with.
Aside from that, Icon can later evolve the dolls into Demigods and even Gods. So he would be there for a while. Luckily for him, his wives would be coming over to train with him, so he wouldn’t be too bored.
And while training was important, the last reason he came was, of course, to earn more points and unlock the treasures in the Treasure Vault.
His mission was important, and so after admiring the battle doll for a few minutes, he decided to start training in [Scythe Art].
This decision was reached since in a few days, Klaus, alongside Rory and three others, would be venturing into the Jade Ant Queen’s nest.
Initially, they were a team of seven, but it was announced that the Jade Ant Nest allows only a five-person team to enter per jade key. And since they had only one key, two of them were dropped.
So he started the battle, choosing an opponent who was proficient in close combat with the scythe.
The training hall improves one’s focus while training. This allows them to easily learn from their opponent and correct their mistakes.
With how vast Klaus’s Hivemind is, the benefits he is bound to reap will be just immeasurable.
After clashing for a few seconds, Kaden smiled bitterly, seeing how terrible he was with the scythe. This also meant Klaus was terrible with the scythe. After all, they have the same mind, feelings, and soul.
Due to this, whatever he learns affects all his bodies, and so now that he saw how terrible he was, it meant all five bodies were terrible.
But that was why he was there, so he locked in with the battle doll, and for the next few days, he would not stop until he saw a great improvement.
