“Take your time chatting!” After preparing some fruit and gifts for Luo Ziling, Wu Jiandong apologized and departed.

“Mr. Luo, I’m new to Yuezhou, and not very familiar with the place. Yuezhou developed quickly when Mayor Ding was in office, and you two are good friends. The two went into a small meeting room for discussions, accompanied by Xu Chen’s secretary and two other accompanying officials.

They started by discussing matters related to Yuezhou’s urban development, and these issues were documented by the secretary.

After about half an hour, Xu Chen asked the secretary and the two accompanying officials to leave, saying she had some personal matters to discuss with Luo Ziling.

Luo Ziling wasn’t surprised by Xu Chen’s actions.

However, he didn’t proactively ask Xu Chen anything, waiting for her to speak first.

“Mr. Luo, Mayor Ding recommended me to the organization upon his departure from Yuezhou, giving me the opportunity to work here. “Such words make me shy!” Luo Ziling laughed heartily.

Despite this, he still didn’t ask Xu Chen about the purpose of their private conversation.

She intended to use their hometown connection to further her rapport with Luo Ziling.

“Chen is about the same age as my mom, isn’t it?”

“I’m thirty-seven this year!”
