The Young Urban Doctor - Chapter 2432 2432: Ouyang Feifei's Suggestion

After hesitating for a few seconds, Luo Ziling picked up the call.
“This is Ling Mingrui.” After hearing Luo Ziling’s “Hello,” Ling Mingrui introduced himself and inquired about Luo Ziling’s current situation.
“Grandpa, I didn’t die, I narrowly survived. The Chen Family sent quite a few assassins to lurk nearby, and they also hired foreign troops. During our counterattack, we even encountered Russian spies and engaged in combat. I suspect there might be a connection between them.” Luo Ziling briefly explained the situation, then mentioned the encounter with Dragon Rise team members, and concluded, “Grandpa, they are truly vicious this time; they actually wanted to kill me, my mom, my grandpa, Yang Qingyin, and Fang Dongxun. It’s outrageous.”
“Alright, I got it!” Ling Mingrui didn’t say much, only reminded Luo Ziling to stay safe and advised him not to make any online statements before hanging up.
Just after ending the call, Ling Ruonan’s call came through.
Looking at the display of Ling Ruonan’s number on his phone screen, Luo Ziling wore a wry smile.
Is it possible that these people planned this? How come they all called him around the same time?
Luo Ziling immediately picked up the call and first inquired about Ling Ruonan’s whereabouts.
“I’m on the train, it’s been running for about half an hour,” Ling Ruonan also asked about Luo Ziling’s whereabouts and whether he had returned to Qingfeng Village.
Upon learning that Luo Ziling was still in town, Ling Ruonan urged, “Pay close attention to the current voices on the internet, but do not make any statements. We’ll discuss everything once I return to Yanjing.”
“Mom, if I don’t speak, and the online buzz dies down, what should we do?” Luo Ziling voiced his concerns, “It’ll take several days for you to get back to Yanjing, by then, if I haven’t said anything, the topic will definitely go cold.”
“Don’t worry about that, there will be other voices emerging, and the discussion will certainly heat up even more. Also, discuss the matter with Fang Dongxun, and have him maintain contact with Fang Xiang. After all, Fang Xiang is in charge of publicity, so his stance is crucial.”
“Got it!” Luo Ziling agreed, then asked Ling Ruonan again, “Mom, should I contact Fang Xiang directly?”
“Let the Fang Dongxun siblings contact him, unless he reaches out to you directly.”
“Okay!”
After the mother and son discussed various other subjects, they ended the call.
No further calls came in afterward.
Luo Ziling initially thought of turning off his phone, but after considering it, he decided against it.
The meal arrangements for all the film crew members were made at the guesthouse.
A few local women skilled in home-cooking were temporarily hired as chefs.
Catering for nearly a hundred people’s meals was no easy task.
Some crew members were concerned about not eating or sleeping well here.
However, after dinner, they realized that food wouldn’t be a major worry, as the hired chefs were quite skillful.
Moreover, some local snacks were delicious, which delighted everybody.
After dinner, the entire crew gathered for a meeting in the town government’s conference room.
Luo Yuqing chaired the meeting, announcing the filming plans and schedules, soliciting everyone’s opinions, and encouraging them to voice any difficulties and ideas, promising to personally resolve these issues.
Luo Ziling and Ouyang Feifei attended the meeting as well, sharing some of their viewpoints.
Luo Ziling mentioned that the scenery here was beautiful, with the backdrop of Tianshan and picturesque grasslands, and emphasized that no other crew had ever filmed here. He insisted on producing an epic series, especially the war scenes, which must be vividly realistic. Concerning finances, they assured not to worry, as this production was self-funded by the company; everything was directed internally without external pressures. As for any challenges or hassles during filming here, Luo Ziling and Luo Yuqing would assist in solving them.
After speaking a bit, Luo Ziling left the meeting midway, leaving Luo Yuqing to handle the rest.
Tonight, Yang Qingyin and Ouyang Feifei were sharing a room, while Luo Ziling and others slept in tents.
The guesthouse had limited rooms, although they rented several local houses, yet, some still had to stay in tents. Truthfully, sleeping in tents here was commonplace, as the locals’ tents were quite house-like, not lacking in comfort compared to typical homes.
Leaving aside Luo Yuqing and the crew, Luo Ziling left the conference room with Yang Qingyin and Ouyang Feifei to prepare for sleep.
But no sooner had he mentioned going to sleep, Ouyang Feifei invited him to hang out in their room as she had matters to discuss with him.
Seeing Yang Qingyin didn’t object, Luo Ziling agreed.
“Have you seen the online comments?” Upon sitting, Ouyang Feifei directly asked, “The incident provoked by your Weibo post seems to be escalating; have you felt anything?”
“I’m just a pawn, those big shots are playing chess, and I made a clever move akin to declaring check in chess. Whether it can checkmate the Chen Family is anyone’s guess.”
Upon hearing this, both Ouyang Feifei and Yang Qingyin were quite surprised.
“Then what are your thoughts?” Ouyang Feifei continued, “Or, how are you approaching this matter?”
“As long as the key figures of the Chen Family aren’t eliminated, we won’t find peace,” Luo Ziling said fiercely, subsequently glancing helplessly at Yang Qingyin, “I once thought it was your Yang Family that most wanted me dead, but now it seems the Chen Family hates us more.”
Yang Qingyin rolled her eyes in response to Luo Ziling.
She was not satisfied with Luo Ziling’s behavior these past two days.
Understandably, he barely paid her any attention amidst all these events, but the irritating part was his lack of communication with her, not sharing his thoughts.
Now here he was, revealing everything to Ouyang Feifei who called him for a discussion.
This clearly indicated that she wasn’t considered special!
Nonetheless, Yang Qingyin certainly wouldn’t throw a tantrum in front of Ouyang Feifei; besides, she planned to have a private chat with Luo Ziling tonight.
Luo Ziling flashed a slightly apologetic smile at Yang Qingyin.
After pondering, Ouyang Feifei gently said, “I think this time other families seem to unite against the Chen Family, yet no one knows the final outcome. There are no eternal friends—not even familial bonds are reliable—interest is paramount. So, don’t place your hopes on sentimental ideals.”
“Then whom should I trust?” Luo Ziling countered.
“Of course, trust yourself,” Ouyang Feifei unbothered by Luo Ziling’s playful expression, earnestly replied, “Control your own pace, don’t dance to their tune. They see you as a pawn, but you don’t have to conform to a pawn’s mentality. Being a disruptor, isn’t that advantageous?”
Astonishment overtook Luo Ziling.
