Chapter 166: Baby Food [900 GT Bonus]
Name: Fragrance of the Whispering Infinity Box
—
The name left Grey speechless as he looked at the little box that had almost cost him his life.
’So fucking extra.’
But the fact the box had a name was a good sign. Maybe it could have some decent use.
Who knew, maybe the reason Joaquin didn’t have that many treasures was because he had spent everything on these two things.
Grey didn’t know that the box and the vial that had been inside of it were sponsored items. Joaquin had, indeed, sold all of his treasures to buy something, but it wasn’t the box or the potion that had been with it. Instead, it was the second vial that Grey had almost missed before.
But quite quickly, Grey learned the truth.
—
Name: Fragrance of the Whispering Infinity Box
Rarity: Mythical (SPONSORED)
Class: Established
Accepted Type: N/A
Rejected Type: N/A
Description: One’s sense of smell is the strongest sense of them all. More than any other, it has saved as many lives as it has taken. The Fragrance of the Whispering Infinity locks away this sense, not just from a person, but the world itself.
Abilities: Perfect Preservation and Reverse Spoiling for any item at and beneath the Established Class that can fit within its walls.
—
’There’s a line for Class now, that wasn’t there before. Sponsored? He got this as a gift?’
There was a flicker in Grey’s eyes as he took this in.
’This must be because of that floating green asshole’s ad-read. Are sponsors really that fucking stupid? Or do they just have that much money to blow?’
If sending messages at this point in the game was so expensive, one could imagine how expensive it would be to send an item, let alone a Mythical one.
As valuable as the box was, the elixir and glass Joaquin had munched on had probably been even more so.
’The tutorial said that there are two kinds of Sponsored Items. This one doesn’t look like it’s restricted.’
Grey grinned.
A Restricted Sponsored Item was even more expensive than a normal Sponsored Item, but it ensured that if the sponsored party ever lost the item, it couldn’t be used by their enemies.
One could imagine that if you were sponsoring a certain athlete and they got mogged by someone else, that could be a huge hit to your brand. It would be like one of those fast food twitter wars, but instead of getting ratio’d, you’d get teabagged live on air for the entire galaxy to see.
Grey wasn’t sure if it was an actual brand sponsoring Joaquin or not, but what was sure was that whoever it was hadn’t thought that Joaquin would lose it the literal day he received it. Or maybe that was a bridge too far for the sponsor.
It was already expensive enough to send the item in the first place, sending a restricted one would have probably been out of budget.
This was all to say that Grey could definitely sell this for a nose-bleeding amount of Credits. He was practically bouncing off the walls.
He really needed to hurry up and get himself his own supply of Cyber Cores so he wasn’t always running on fumes like this.
’Now what the hell is this?’
—
Name: Holy Trumpet Elixir
Rarity: Epic
Accepted Type: N/A
Rejected Type: N/A

Warning: Only those compatible with Holy Energy should attempt to withstand its might. Results may vary depending on user. Failure means death. Success means a reawakening and rebirth.
—
’Oh?’
The vial felt thick in his hands. It continuously radiated an energy that seeped into the surroundings.
Even just sitting there, Grey felt like his stamina was replenishing a bit faster than usual.
’How can it be so powerful if it’s leaking so much all the time?’
Grey raised an eyebrow. Even while it was sitting away in Joaquin’s spatial ring, it had been leaking. In fact, he was pretty sure the only reason he hadn’t noted its existence before was because the Spear of Purpose had been so near it that it was eating away at its energy as well.
Suddenly, an idea struck Grey.
’Reverse spoiling, huh?’
Grey grinned and put the Holy Trumpet Elixir into the Fragrance of the Whispering Infinity Box and then closed the leak.
Instantly, the leaking energy vanished.
’Wait. How long is this supposed to take?’
Grey had no idea so he decided he would count out 60 seconds and then check to see if something happened.
What he didn’t expect was that he would only get to about 20 before there was a click and the box opened up on its own.
A steam radiated out, and then came the blinding light.
Grey squinted, his eyes feeling like they were getting poked out by daggers.
He reached a hand forward and clasped around it just so he could see clearly again.

’Increases chances of awakening an advanced Holy Frame? Don’t I have one already? Or are there different tiers?’
After some thought, Grey put the elixir back into the box and closed it again. He wondered if it could “evolve” again.
He counted out 60 seconds again, but this time he reached the end of the timer and nothing happened.
’It doesn’t evolve stuff, it just reverses the spoiling and preserves what’s already there. This is probably the original level of the elixir… but I doubt Joaquin bought it at this level. No way he could afford it.’
Grey smiled. It looked like he made out with a decent haul.
He popped the cork of the elixir open and downed it.
Should he do something like this here? Probably not.
But as far as he was concerned, there was exactly zero chance this Holy Trumpet Elixir hurt even remotely as much as being burned from the inside out by the Genesis System.
’Baby food.’
