Trash of the Count's Family - Book 2: Chapter 385: The Birth of Evil (2)

<The Birth of Evil (2)>
They returned to the center of the Seventh Evil for the first time in a long while.
It was the fairy tale castle that used to belong to Dragon Lord Neo that the Heinous Dark Bear was looking after now.
Paaaat!
Cale’s group came over to the Seventh Evil from the Lan Kingdom with a flash of light.
“Uhh-”
Cale awkwardly smiled.
“There’s a bit more people now?”
It was at that moment.
Boom!
Around a hundred people knelt down on one knee in unison.
The part that gave Cale chills was the fact that the speed and strength was all the same that it felt like only one person moved.
“We greet the Heavenly Demon!”
They were the members of the Demon Cult.
The large castle where the final boss of the Seventh Evil resides…
The beautiful white castle that resembled a fairy tale castle was surrounded by fluffy cotton candy-like clouds, but it was pretty large.
The Seventh Evil was the second largest of all Eight Evils and this castle was just as majestic as its size.
Naturally, the first floor hall was quite large as well.
“…….”
Shh.
The Heavenly Demon raised his hand.
Boom!
The hundred or so people slammed their heads on the ground to bow even lower.
“Demon!”
The Heavenly Demon quietly stood there as they shouted.
“Haha-”
Cale looked at the awkwardly laughing Heinous Dark Bear.
This cute teddy bear was rubbing his hands together, doing whatever he could to move to Cale’s side.
“Haha, it’s been a while, young master-nim.”
Behind the teddy bear was the Tiger Shaman Gashan, waving at Cale.
“Eek!”
The teddy bear screeched after hearing Gashan’s voice behind him and ran toward Cale.
He then peeked behind him.
‘Eek!’
Gashan’s eyes were completely white and he had all sorts of tattoos on his body.
Two crows flew around him while letting out gloomy cries.
Squeeze.
The Heinous Dark Bear subconsciously squeezed Cale’s leg.
Gulp.
Cale Henituse, the greatest of all evils.
The bear never expected to be so happy to see Cale.
‘But there are too many crazy people!’
After Cale’s group had left, the bear had been working hard to register individuals as mid-level NPCs or NPCs, starting with Aipotu’s Dragon half-blood Pope.
Of course, the construction of the portal in the black castle was progressing as well, so the Heinous Dark Bear had many reasons to run into Cale’s other friends.
That was why he realized it.
‘These people are the most normal!’
Cale, Choi Han, the scary baby Dragon and the two vicious kittens!
They were the easiest to be around.
Those bastards from the Demon Cult who came over to support the Heavenly Demon…
‘Crazy psychos!’
The way they acted while saying they found a new base for their Demon Cult made them feel like some scammy cult believers.
The Beast people, Gashan being one of them, were all weird as well.
‘The Dragon half-bloods were weird too!’
The Dragon half-bloods started coming over one after the other starting with the Pope, talking about creating something called the ‘Miru Knights Brigade’ or whatnot.
Those bastards were quiet, but still scary.
Honestly speaking, there were a lot of other weird and scary people as well.
‘…Of course, the weirdest one-’
Gulp.
The Dark Bear suddenly felt his back turn cold.
“I haven’t seen all of you for a while.”
“Eruhaben-nim.”
Cale, who had looked unsettled while looking at the Demon Cult, now had a happy smile on his face.
Pat pat.
He patted the Dark Bear’s head a few times before happily welcoming Eruhaben.
“You must be busy with the portal, Eruhaben-nim?”
The Black Castle portal.
Eruhaben, who was the most knowledgeable about magic after Lord Sheritt who couldn’t leave the castle, registered as a mid-level NPC and then had been working with the researchers from Earth 3 to create the portal.
He was also helping with the restoration of Aipotu after the chaos the Purple Bloods, the Dragons of Aipotu, had caused.
“It was somewhat bearable.”
Eruhaben nonchalantly responded before peeking at the Dark Bear as he continued.
“The Dark Bear. This kid was more useful than I thought. It was easy for us because he took care of all sorts of things.”
‘Oh.’
Cale gasped in admiration and looked down at the Dark Bear.
But the Dark Bear did not dare to turn around to look at Eruhaben.
‘Hoooo.’
He could not forget the reaction Eruhaben had shown after becoming a mid-level NPC.
‘Dragons are monsters that users can hunt whenever they please?’
‘Excuse me? T, that is not possible yet, but-’
‘But it may be possible in the future?’
‘Uhh, I, if they raise their levels and do all sorts of things-’
‘Hoooo. How entertaining. How very entertaining.’
Eruhaben had a crazed look on his face despite smiling and saying it was entertaining.
‘Can Dragons do what they call leveling up in this place?’
‘Excuse me? Umm, mid-level NPCs cannot level up-’
‘Really? Hahaha-’
The Dark Bear could not forget that boisterous laughter.
Since then, he had been avoiding Eruhaben as much as possible.
Pat pat.
“You worked hard.”
He received solace from Cale patting his head.
‘Yeah. I am the great and mighty Dark Bear!
My loyalty is to the greatest of all evils!
The leader of everybody here!
The living breathing greatest of all evils!
Only our one and only Cale Henituse-nim!’
Smile.
As the Dark Bear was about to smile…
“Is he about to hatch?”
Eruhaben’s voice had a subtle stirring to it.
Cale pointed at the flower patterned swaddle by his side.
“Yes, Eruhaben-nim. I think he will hatch in seven days.”
The recovery rate was slowly going back up from 95.2%.
[Recovery rate 95.21% (Remaining time: 6 days 23 hours 21 minutes)]
[Birth Ceremony Progression 0%]
[Reward rank undetermined]
It even told him the remaining time.
‘I need to raise the Birth Ceremony progression to 100% in the remaining time.’
That would make the reward rank higher.
‘I feel like this punk is the one who will get the reward though.’
[* The reward will change based on the event completion rate. (Rank F~S)]
Cale was checking the quest description when he heard a question from Eruhaben.
“Based on what I heard, mm, the hatching should have just needed a warm place…”
Eruhaben was already aware of how Cale did things. That was why he realized something odd from the message Cale had sent them.
“Why did you urgently ask for Clopeh Sekka?”
Clopeh Sekka.
Peek. Eruhaben looked toward the two people who had not approached yet.
Clopeh was with the now former Pope, Casillia.
‘Mm.’
The ancient Dragon found it a bit ominous seeing the two of them together.
‘When did they get so close?’
Clopeh Sekka. That bastard looked pretty cozy with Pope Casillia as they stood there together.
Of course, Pope Casillia’s eyes were focused on Eden Miru and nothing else.
“…….”
However, she did not dare to get close.
Eruhaben, who felt like he understood how she was feeling, slightly scowled. For some odd reason, even he felt like he could not easily approach Eden Miru.
“Ah.”
The ancient Dragon saw Cale smiling at that moment.
“It’s great that the two of them are together.”
‘What?’
Cale was happy to see Clopeh Sekka with Pope Casillia.
“Mm. Yes, very reliable.”
He looked at the two of them with satisfaction before landing his gaze on the Heavenly Demon.
‘Hmm? What is going on?’
To be more specific, he was looking at the subordinates by the Heavenly Demon’s side.
His profound gaze made Eruhaben feel ominous while his gaze quickly looked around Cale.
“Hehe!”
“Hehe!”
“…….”
The children averaging ten-years-old, Raon and Hong were laughing while On was smiling. They seemed pretty excited.
“…….”
Rosalyn avoided his gaze while Choi Han seemed to be blanking out a bit.
“Hoo hoo.”
Even crown prince Alberu Crossman was elegantly laughing.
This was very suspicious.
As for the Heavenly Demon, who received Cale’s gaze…
“…….”
He seemed quite amused but leery at the same time.
‘What is going on?’
The ancient Dragon was thinking that it had been a while since he saw Cale ready to cause trouble like this, when Cale explained what was going on.
“In seven days, a huuuuuuge legend has to be born.”
His voice was serious.
“!”
The Dark Bear flinched.
Legend?
“The new evil of the Seventh Evil. The Eight Evils and the entire continent needs to know about the birth of this great evil.”
‘Hmm?’
The Dark Bear released his grip on Cale’s pants.
Shhh.
His front paw moved away from Cale’s pants.
Step. He then took a step back as well.
In seven days. Hadn’t Cale said that was when Eden Miru was to be born?
The temporary final boss, the Dark Bear, already knew that Eden Miru might become the new boss of the Seventh Evil.
But- a legend?
“Hoooo.”
Clopeh Sekka let out a quiet gasp.
“…….”
Pope Casillia’s eyes flashed.
The Dragon half-blood.
Someone who had been shunned and never found a place where she belonged.
Eden Miru. As a Dragon half-blood, he had sacrificed himself to protect everybody from former Dragon Lord Neo, someone Casillia loathed.
He would succeed Dragon Lord Neo’s position, and she had decided to protect him.
But his new birth-
‘Turn it into a legend?
One that is so grand everybody in this vast world knows about it?
Turn the birth of a Dragon half-blood-
Into a legend?’
The Aipotu continent.
Pope Casillia had created a church that worshiped Dragons and made it spread throughout the continent in two hundred years.
The eyes of this former Pope started to burn with passion.
“Oh Heavenly Demon- what is it we need to do?”
The Heavenly Demon laughed and responded to his subordinate.
“Well, doesn’t it sound fun? I plan on helping out as well.”
The Martial Arts world of the Central Plains.
The Demon Cult had a long history in that place.
They were a cult that treated the Heavenly Demon as god.
Their lunacy often made the strongest of martial artists go blank.
For people like them, a ritual like that, a ritual of turning something into a legend-
“We do have a lot of experience in that regard.”
They were very familiar with it.
“…….”
Step.
The Dark Bear took another step back.
Plop.
He turned around after running into something to find Eruhaben there. The Dark Bear was about to quickly move away before he saw the emotion on the ancient Dragon’s face and subconsciously grabbed onto Eruhaben’s pants.
Pope Casillia continued with a calm look on her face.
“If it is something everybody needs to hear, we should prepare a birth ceremony inviting the mid bosses of the Seventh Evil while also opening the castle to allow the residents of the Seventh Evil to see the ceremony as well.”
Her voice was calm but oddly passionate.
“Furthermore, we should inform the final bosses of the rest of the Eight Evils of the birth ceremony. But inviting them here could potentially lead to the enemies finding us, so I think just sending information rather than an invitation would be best.”
That was why the Dark Bear was scared.
Someone from the Heavenly Demon’s side slowly interjected as well.
“The ceremony should be magnificent and dignified. It is not just a birth but the birth of evil, isn’t it?”
“I think it should be a bit sacred as well.”
As Casillia and the Demon Cult continued to chat…
“Cale-nim.”
Someone opened their mouth.
It was Clopeh, who had quietly been standing there with a smile since his initial gasp.
He finally opened his mouth.
“It’s time for the real deal!”
As everybody pretended not to hear what Raon had said…
Shh.
Clopeh walked forward.
He then quietly looked at Eden Miru’s flower-pattern swaddled egg.
“I say-”
His holy-sounding voice slowly echoed through the hall.
“There is no need to let people know about a legend.”
There was no need to inform others about it.
“What they see, what they hear, what they feel on their skin… A legend is something they realize every time they breathe.”
Cale Henituse.
The path of a legend that he was walking did not consist of ceremonies they purposely planned out or stories they created with a legend in mind.
Clopeh knew this better than anybody else.
Because he was the person who tried all sorts of things to become a legend before the legit legend taught him how to do it.
“We just need to show it.”
A ceremony?
They just needed to show others even without something like that.
“Show the evil being created in this place.”
Clopeh’s smile became bigger.
“The birth of evil. Just seeing the signs of it will make everybody gather.”
That will naturally turn into stories and then a legend.
Clopeh raised his head to look at the ceiling.
The ceiling of the hall had fluffy cotton candy clouds floating around.
“Ah-”
Clopeh could see these fluffy cotton candy turning into heinous and ominous things.
“I can see the evil.”
As he smiled extremely brightly…
“Clopeh Sekka.”
Cale extended his hand and patted Clopeh’s shoulder.
He felt Clopeh was truly reliable.
“This time, feel free to do everything you want to do.”
‘If I leave it to this bastard, the birth ceremony-’
“I’ll help you with everything.”
The reward should at minimum be at the S-rank.
* * *
Rumble-
The castle of the boss of the Seventh Evil.
The place known as Cotton Candy Castle.
The residents of the Seventh Evil living in the village near the castle and the monsters nearby all looked at Cotton Candy Castle with ominous eyes.
Rumble-
The sky above the castle, located at the center of this plain, was crying.
“W, what is going on?”
Flash flash.
Rose gold colored thunderbolts flashed and showed themselves every so often in between the clouds.
In addition-
“A cloud like that-”
The sky was being covered by a dark red cloud.
It felt ominous.
It felt truly ominous.
Caw caw-
Crows appeared from all directions and gathered at Cotton Candy Castle.
Caw caw-
A countless number of black birds gathered and covered the sky.
“…This feels ominous.”
But the people saying that did not look very concerned.
It was because they were all a part of the Seventh Evil.
They were all creatures based on fairy tales, each with their own stories.
“The trees, the trees-!”
Someone shouted in a screech of joy.
“The trees are growing like disgusting monsters!”
The sky cried. A dark red cloud appeared!
Crows flew in from all directions!
Trees were growing looking disgusting!
“Holy shit, now there is rain and gusts of wind too!”
All these heinous things were gathering at the Cotton Candy Castle.
It felt like a large evil, the final boss for a hero to defeat, was about to be born.
Thump, thump.
The story about Cotton Candy Castle was spreading like wildfire throughout the Seventh Evil.
“Human, aren’t you overdoing it?”
“… Fuck.”
Cale was regretting things right now.
However, his hand was still on the ground.
The disgustingly growing weird trees, that was Cale making the trees grow, just as he had done in the past in the jungle, with the help of the Indestructible Shield.
“Haaaaa.”
The Heavenly Demon sighed and released more of his dark red aura.
“Mary-nim.”
“Yes.”
“It is your turn.”
Mary held a bone in her hand and nodded her head.
Clack.
The ground shook and it was time for the skeletons to walk out.
All these heinous precursors were headed toward Cotton Candy Castle.
“It’s not enough.”
As for Clopeh, he felt that this was not enough.
He turned to look at Eruhaben, Rosalyn, and Raon.
Clopeh addressed the three who were talented in magic.
“It’s lacking.”
Clopeh’s eyes were full of lunacy.
That was what Rosalyn thought.
“Evil needs to be more evil. Evil enough for the bosses of the Eight Evils to focus on it.”
Clopeh approached the three of them while speaking quietly.
That night…
A black pillar of light shot up from Cotton Candy Castle.
That light spread out in all directions and was visible from all parts of the Seventh Evil.
Caw caw-
The crows and the skeletons buried all around appeared and followed those lights to the vast field, to the center of the Seventh Evil, the Cotton Candy Castle.
It truly looked heinous.
That information spread throughout the Eight Evils as well as the nations around that always kept their eyes on the Eight Evils. Of course, Cale had an influence on the interest of the other nations.
Because he recorded that eerie sight and sent it out to Ahn Roh Man and Queen Tamahi.
==============
< What’s up with the Seventh Evil? Shiver. >
Did you see that video that was quickly deleted?
It looked like game footage someone uploaded.
Holy shit.
What the fuck is happening in the Seventh Evil right now?
– What vid?
– I saved it. Sending the link.
– Holy shit. What the hell? It’s so ominous.
– Wow. New World is so fun. There’s chaos everywhere.
– Holy shit… Shiver. But who took footage of the Seventh Evil?
– No clue. There are users who are able to approach the Seventh Evil?
– Is this the birth of the Demon King or something?
==============
The Birth of Evil.
The preparations were going well.
“Cale-nim. You can make sure your condition is stable as you slowly proceed.”
“…Uhh, okay.”
Cale was receiving thorough care from Clopeh as he used adequate amounts of his ancient powers.
Claaaaaaack-
For some reason, Eden Miru was just weakly responding as if he was reaching enlightenment.
* * *
Finally, the last helper appeared in front of Cale.
“…You need to create the birth of a legend?”
Former Lord Sheritt.
An odd strength was visible in her gaze.
“Yes, Sheritt-nim.”
Cale laughed.
Clack.
The egg weakly moved.
“Oh greatest of all evils!”
The Dark Bear approached Cale and delivered some information at that moment.
“Count Ruiphe, the boss of the Third Evil, says he has time tomorrow and will visit!”
The Third Evil, the other of the Eight Evils that Cale controls.
Count Ruiphe, the boss of that place and the person they believed to be a true noble of the Demon World, was going to visit.
What did that visit mean?
“Oh greatest of all evils, you mentioned Aurora is coming tomorrow?”
“Yeah. That’s right.”
Aurora.
The leader of the Arbitrators and the only descendant of the former Demon King.
Also, the person looking for Count Ruiphe.
The two members of the Demonic race were scheduled to stealthily meet here tomorrow.
Only four days remained until the birth of evil, the birth of Eden Miru.
