Wasteland: I Awakened A Plant System - Chapter 135: Confrontation

Chapter 135: Confrontation
Vikram’s eyes widened sharply, and his gaze involuntarily darted towards that bouncy spot.
Before Divya could notice his line of sight, he quickly pulled it back and coughed ostentatiously.
“Cough ~ cough ~”
“It’s getting late. It will take a lot of time to get back to my Shelter from here.”
“Let’s get on the vehicle directly,” he suggested earnestly after retracting his gaze.
“Mm ~” Divya didn’t notice Vikram’s gentlemanly behavior just now and responded sweetly.
Looking at Anjali, who was lying unconscious on the motorcycle, he secretly rejoiced, “Thankfully, this motorcycle has a long enough seat; otherwise, it would be a bit difficult.”
The three of them got on the motorcycle in sequence, sitting in the order of Vikram – Anjali – Divya, and then both Druids.
However, Vikram was a bit unhappy all the way back.
He had originally thought of having intimate contact with Divya’s surging waves, and an occasional sudden brake on the road would have been even more wonderful.
It was all because Anjali had fallen asleep, and Divya wasn’t comfortable with her sitting at the back, which foiled Vikram’s plan.
Compared to Divya’s visible talent, this little brat not only wasn’t very smart, but she also didn’t have what others had.
All the way, he only felt as if his back had been rubbed by a washboard for several hours, and the scenery along the way became bland.
If Anjali was woken up, she must have thought, ’Is it my fault?’
Divya also remained silent, but what she was thinking was completely different from the messy thoughts in Vikram’s mind.
After so many days of survival in the Wasteland World, that not-so-luxurious but very cozy little house, which the two of them had built with their own hands, had accompanied them for so long.
Now, without even giving them time to react, the two of them had to leave that place and go to a new Shelter to survive.
Although Divya knew that Vikram’s Shelter should be a bit more luxurious than their Shelter, she was still somewhat worried.
No matter how good the Shelter was, they would still be living under someone else’s roof in the future.
Perhaps Vikram could be very generous to the two of them, but what about the other people in the Shelter?
That’s right, even though Vikram repeatedly emphasized that he was the only person in the Shelter, Divya never believed it.
She couldn’t imagine how a Shelter that had electricity before so many Survivors in the area could possibly only have Vikram alone.
Unless Vikram was the Wasteland Survival Platform’s favorite son and had a backdoor to use.
Otherwise, according to her estimation, his Shelter would need at least a dozen people to be barely plausible.
And she was also amazed by these two plants like being, Vikram told her that they are his army. Still she can’t think how these cute little things have different abilities.
She was shocked by the Healer Druid abilities mostly, it heals them completely.
But even knowing that Vikram cares about her, she has hearts full of apprehension and unease, they are finally nearing Vikram’s Shelter.
Just the travel time that day took over seven hours, not to mention the time spent killing was not even counted.
By the time they reached the foot of the mountain in front of the territory gate, it was completely dark.
“Vikram? Where are we going?” She had the same question as Sophia. When she looked ahead, there was nothing in front of them.
“Don’t worry, you will be surprised when we enter,” Vikram said, smiling mischievously. As they approached the mist, a gate opened, and they entered.
And just as he had thought, when she entered his territory and saw the scene before her, she was literally shocked.
It was as if she had entered heaven. Just crossing the gate, the -40 degree temperature had changed to nearly 15-20 degrees.
Everything else aside, the temperature control alone shook her to the core. Once she got over that, she saw the scene in front of her: a big shelter, a water tank, a garden, street lights, and then the most amazing thing — an RV.
She literally couldn’t believe the things she was seeing. She even pinched herself a few times to make sure she wasn’t dreaming.
The mist gate used to conceal such a beautiful shelter — she was most amazed by this. She also saw a tree in the middle, but she didn’t care about it.
However, even after figuring out what was happening, she was still stunned in place by the sophistication of the mechanism.
She couldn’t even tell whether these things were real or fake.
While she and her best friend had been laboriously chopping trees and digging rocks, some powerful Survivors were already living in a completely different era.
At this moment, she didn’t know whether to feel pleasantly surprised or sad.
The pleasant surprise was that she would soon be living in such a mysterious and powerful Shelter.
The sadness was that, with their abilities, these things clearly wouldn’t be of any help once they entered the Shelter.
While she was thinking, Vikram lifted Anjali onto his back. He got off the motorcycle, Divya also dismounted, and then the Healer Druid parked it.
Before Divya could take everything in, she saw the Warrior Druid take his blade and walk toward a blue-colored being that looked similar to himself.
He pointed his blade at him and said, “Wa Ma, clean it.”
“Okay, Wa,” the blue being replied. Water immediately started flowing from his hand, washing the blade.
After the blade was completely cleaned of blood and dirt, the Warrior Druid looked at it with satisfaction and walked over to the red-colored being.
“Fi Ma, dry it.”
The red being didn’t say a word. A small flame appeared from his hand, and the blade was quickly dried.
Seeing his clean and shiny blade, the Warrior Druid looked pleased. As many more beings like the Warrior Druid arrived, he began telling them about his bravery.
“Vikram, what are these? Are they your—” Divya stuttered, struggling to find the right words.
“Yes, they are my army — my plant army,” Vikram said, his voice filled with pride as he introduced them.
Hearing this, she was literally shocked. Just one Warrior Druid had dealt with Kuldeep and his entire gang, and here there were thirteen of them. Even if one could handle only five people, together they could take down sixty-five.
And judging by the water and fire they could summon from their hands, they could easily destroy any shelter.
Vikram was literally a powerful base.
Divya nodded upon hearing this. She now knew she should stop being so shocked. Even if Vikram brought down the moon and stars today, she wouldn’t be surprised.
But then she thought, if he already had all these things, what could the two of them possibly do for him?
Looking at the complex emotions in Divya’s eyes, Vikram shook his head and smiled. “You don’t have to worry about feeling out of place in the Shelter. I just need you to help me with some simple tasks every day.”
“Like farming, cooking, and most importantly… warming the bed, and so on.”
Sensing Divya’s thoughts, Vikram explained the situation to her directly.
The dazed Divya finally came to her senses after hearing him.
“That simple?”
“Yes! That simple.”
“Wait, what does ’warming the bed’ mean?” Divya realized what he meant and playfully hit Vikram.
“Of course, it means exactly what you’re thinking. Once you enter my Shelter, you’ll have to be my bed-warming maid.”
Hearing that, she started blushing. From their previous chats, she already knew Vikram wanted her.
He had already declared her as his girlfriend in the chatroom. And she also knew that the only things she could give Vikram were her heart and her body.
She had already given him her heart the moment he arrived to save her. As for her body, since she had already given her heart, there was no hesitation left.
But how could Vikram say it so directly? She was just about to complain when a beautiful woman in a maid dress walked out from the shelter.
“Who is she?” Divya shouted in panic and anger. It was one thing if Vikram only wanted her, but there was already another girl here.
“I am Boss Vikram’s first maid,” Sophia said, trying to assert her authority.
“You said you lived here alone!” Divya asked angrily, turning to Vikram.
She even forgot that she was standing in his territory. She didn’t say it out loud, but she had already started thinking of Vikram as hers.
But now that she saw another woman inside the territory, how could she not get angry?
Vikram, hearing this, didn’t know how to explain. He had never thought that seeing Sophia here would cause such a big reaction.
But Vikram had forgotten one important thing, the jealousy that existed between women.
At first, Divya thought she should just leave that lecherous dog Vikram behind.
But then she reconsidered. Why should she leave him? She wasn’t like those girls who could easily give away what was theirs. She was the type of girl who would snatch what she wanted from others.
And if she had already started seeing Vikram as hers, then it was Sophia who should stay away.
