“This one seems like it’ll take a while.”
Unlike the other tasks, this task wasn’t about how strong the creature that he would be hunting was. This time, it was about how hard it would be to reach the creature since it was in a place that people normally didn’t visit.

Lin Fan was surprised to find Yue Lan looking for him, but he could also see from her expression that she had a good reason to look for him. It seemed like there was something that had happened and it was quite serious.

“Who are they?” Lin Fan asked right away.
When Yue Lan shook her head to show that she didn’t know them, Lin Fan knew that this was serious.
If it was someone that they knew, then it would mean that this matter wasn’t as serious as they were free to come see him. But if they didn’t send someone that he was familiar with, then it meant that everyone he was familiar with was busy with something else.

If they were all busy, it must mean that it was something that was very important to the entire Heavenly Demon Sect.
There was only one matter that could draw everyone away like this.

“Did they tell you anything?” Lin Fan asked as they headed to the portal back to the cultivation continent.

“Well, when you meet the ones from the Heavenly Demon Sect…just act normal around them.”
Lin Fan couldn’t help raising a brow when he heard this, but it didn’t seem like Yue Lan was planning on explaining with how she just continued walking in silence.
Yue Lan was someone that Lin Fan recognized as capable enough that she would be able to handle any situation. But for her to actually say something like this, it meant that the ones that came really had to be something else…
So why would they send people like that?

When he heard this, Lin Fan had an idea of why Yue Lan acted this way.
Even though these two came from one of the Five Great Sects, they certainly didn’t act the way that one would expect of cultivators from the Five Great Sects.

Neither of the two girls said anything as they took something out for Lin Fan to look at.
When he saw this, he immediately knew who they were.

It seemed like they had decided everything for themselves and didn’t even bother telling Lin Fan what was happening.
But in the end, Lin Fan trusted that they knew what to do.
After all, they were elites that had been trained by the Heavenly Demon Sect for a long time.
So that was why he just went along with the two girls, waiting to see where they would bring him.
