With My System, I Can Even Tame Gods - Chapter 1464: Precision

After a while, there were quite a few weapons that had been crafted.
Since Xiao Mu was an AI controlled puppet, it wasn’t as if it became tired from forging.
It was able to keep forging even while Lin Fan and Ye Qing Huan rested up.
Though in reality, it wasn’t as if Ye Qing Huan needed to rest since she hadn’t really done anything here. The only reason that she was ’resting’ was because she wanted to cuddle up against Lin Fan.
Lin Fan had been worried that Xiao Mu would have an opinion on this, but it turned out that this wasn’t the case.
It seemed like Xiao Mu was completely focused on forging weapons that it didn’t notice what Ye Qing Huan was doing.
While Xiao Mu was forging, Lin Fan had been watching what it had been doing the entire time. He had focused on each of the swings that Xiao Mu made, as he looked carefully at the trajectory of the swings.
However, he couldn’t help knitting his brows while watching this.
After all, there was something that actually went against the nature of the technique that he had shown Xiao Mu.
The problem was that this wasn’t something that Xiao Mu could turn off that easily.
As an Ai, it had the ability to calculate each of the swings precisely and follow the exact path that Lin Fan had taken. It was just that this wasn’t the right thing for Xiao Mu to do if it wanted to master this technique.
Precision was a good thing most of the time, but it actually hurt Xiao Mu when it came to the Eighty One Wind Hammers.
Part of the Eighty One Wind Hammers was how wild it was.
So when it was being controlled with the precision of an AI, it was actually losing the essence of what made it a powerful technique.
Though it didn’t seem like Xiao Mu was seeing this as it kept trying to figure it out.
Every time, there was a certain point where Xiao Mu would lose control of the forging and make a mistake.
In the end, Lin Fan walked over and said, “This isn’t right for you.”
The moment that he said this, Xiao Mu immediately glared at him like a child that wasn’t happy about being criticized.
Lin Fan had said it for Xiao Mu’s benefit, but he knew that this wasn’t the right way to approach this. Which was why he went behind Xiao Mu and said, “Are our bodies the same?”
Xiao Mu looked at Lin Fan with a confused look which shouldn’t have happened for a normal Ai. It was only because Xiao Mu had developed self awareness that it was able to look at Lin Fan like this.
After trying to figure out what Lin Fan meant by this for a bit, Xiao Mu finally turned away and said, “I don’t know.”
Lin Fan was a bit confused as to why Xiao Mu would turn away like this, but he said, “Of course not. Our proportions are different, so why are you trying to copy my exact style of using this technique?”
Once he said this, it was as if Xiao Mu had suddenly realized something.
Following this, Lin Fan added, “Not everything has to be perfect. Sometimes there is something to gain from a bit of imperfection.”
This went against the programming of Xiao Mu’s AI, so it wasn’t as if it could understand what Lin Fan was saying right away. However, it didn’t seem like Xiao Mu was completely stumped since it had free will to go against that programming.
It would just take some time before Xiao Mu could reach a conclusion.
Seeing that it was already starting to go against its programming like this made Lin Fan feel a bit worried since he had his past knowledge about AI programs. But for now, he chose to trust Ye Qing Huan’s instincts.
If she trusted Xiao Mu enough to take it in, then he would trust that Xiao Mu would be on their side.
After a long time, it seemed like Xiao Mu finally figured out something.
The moment that it figured this out, it went back over to the forge and picked up the hammer once more. But this time, it didn’t seem like it was swinging the hammer the same way as it did before this.
Instead, it seemed like it was swinging slowly and deliberately.
The main difference was that this hammer wasn’t following the optimal path at all.
It even seemed sloppy with how it curved from time to time.
Only Lin Fan wasn’t worried when he saw this kind of hammering from Xiao Mu.
In fact, his lips curled slightly since this was exactly what he wanted to see.
“It seems like it’s understanding the essence of this technique.” He muttered to himself as he watched Xiao Mu swinging that hammer.
For a second, there was a part of him that felt pride like a father would from teaching their child. But that feeling quickly faded since he knew that it was the furthest from this thing.
Even if Xiao Mu was like a child since it had just developed free will, it wasn’t as if it would come close to seeing him as a father.
Rather, it was better to say that Xiao Mu saw him as a rival for Ye Qing Huan’s affection.
On the side, there was a faint smile that appeared for a second on Ye Qing Huan’s face before it disappeared when she saw the expression on Lin Fan’s face.
Xiao Mu continued hammering just like that, but it wasn’t that smooth going as it broke several of the weapons that it had been working on.
At the very least, it seemed like the number of hammer swings per weapon was increasing. Even though the weapons kept breaking, it seemed like it was gaining more and more knowledge about how to wield this technique.
Eventually, it was able to reach eighty swings.
The problem was the eighty first swing where Xiao Mu would always lose control at the last second. It seemed like the force of the eighty first swing was just too much for Xiao Mu.
The old man had been watching the entire time without saying a single word, but now it had something to say.
“So it was like that. I see, this is quite an interesting technique.”
Right after saying this, it seemed like the old man was starting to fade away.
In the first place, it wasn’t as if the old man was able to remain in this place for long since it was already a soul that was supposed to disappear after it had fulfilled its purpose.
The only reason that the old man had been able to remain in this place was all because of the technique that Lin Fan demonstrated.
Now, it seemed like he had seen through the essence of the Eighty One Wind Hammers, so it could be said that his wish had been fulfilled.
But before disappearing, he added one last thing for Xiao Mu.
“Lean into it, stop resisting.”
As he disappeared, the way that he looked at Xiao Mu was as if he was looking at a grandchild. Though whether that was because he saw Xiao Mu as a disciple or if he was looking at the Heaven and Earth Flame that Xiao Mu absorbed was unknown.
It was similar to how the old man from the alchemy hall had viewed Xiao Sheng.
When he disappeared, it didn’t seem like Xiao Mu noticed at all.
Though from his words, it was clear that Xiao Mu had come to some kind of epiphany.
It seemed like Xiao Mu was finally on the right path.
“Even in the end, he was still trying to nurture the younger generation.” Lin Fan couldn’t help thinking this to himself, but there was something else that he couldn’t get over.
“There’s no way that they would be this altruistic, so they must have some kind of goal to all of this…”
It seemed like whatever disaster the Dao Sect had faced in the path had completely changed how they viewed the world.
“Was it because they were shown how tiny they were?”
While Lin Fan was lost in thought over this, he was suddenly brought back to his senses by a loud sound that came in front of him.
He didn’t need to see it to know what this loud sound was.
It was the culmination of Xiao Mu’s epiphany, it was the final blow of the Eighty One Wind Hammers.
However, it didn’t seem like it gave the result that Xiao Mu wanted.
After it finished forging that weapon, it didn’t seem to glow like the sword that Lin Fan forged.
Even if Xiao Mu had learned the Eighty One Wind Hammers, it wasn’t as if Xiao Mu was on the same level as Lin Fan who had received the guidance of the system.
But that didn’t mean that the weapon that Xiao Mu forged was that bad.
It was considered quite a good product when compared to other weapons on the market.
Especially since none of the materials that were in this place were considered normal materials. They were materials left behind by the Dao Sect, so there was no doubt that they would be special.
Once Xiao Mu finished forging this weapon, it turned around to look at Lin Fan.
Seeing this, there was an awkward look that appeared on Lin Fan’s face as he prepared for what Xiao Mu would do.
Only he didn’t expect what Xiao Mu actually did.
