Chapter 876: Chapter 393: Subduing the Elemental Lord (Part 2)
The surrounding water currents began to change shape, gradually condensing into a long, flowing blue beam of light, enveloping both Melt Throat and Frost Eyes.
The beams twisted upward like vines, tightly binding the two Elemental Lords in place.
“You were once the most powerful Lords of this world, but now—you will become my servants.”
David spoke with a firm and ruthless voice.
This meant something, but to protect this world, he had to do it.
He would no longer tolerate any form of resistance.
As the Spell was continually chanted, Melt Throat and Frost Eyes felt an irresistible force invading their respective consciousnesses.
It felt like being gripped tightly by an invisible hand; they tried to resist but found themselves completely unable to break free.
“What is this power?” Melt Throat asked in horror, his heart surging with anger and despair.
He used all his strength to try and break the bonds, but all efforts were like stones sinking into the sea, leaving no trace.
“This is an irreversible Contract,” David coldly responded, “You will eternally obey my will. I can grant you survival and strength, or I can let you vanish completely.”
Frost Eyes also felt fear under this invisible pressure.
He closed his eyes and murmured reluctantly, “We were once part of nature, and now to become your servants… is this not a disgrace?”
“Disgrace?” David sneered, “If you don’t accept all this, you’ll only face destruction! Only by submission can you continue to exist.”
As the Spell entered its final stage, the blue light grew even brighter, shining like the sun.
The two Elemental Lords gradually felt their consciousness being eroded, the despair and helplessness almost causing them to collapse.
At the moment of losing themselves, they had to face reality: as individuals, they could no longer contend with this new force.
If they couldn’t survive, what meaning did so-called dignity hold?
At this moment, a deep, powerful voice rose from within them: “If this is our only choice, then so be it.”
Melt Throat finally let go of the last shred of pride and resistance, and Frost Eyes also silently accepted this fact.
In despair, they chose survival, even if the price was submission to another existence.
“I accept this Contract!” Melt Throat roared, his heart filled with humiliation, yet tinged with faint reluctance.
“So do I!”
Frost Eyes followed suit, expressing his decision in a trembling yet firm voice.
“As long as I can preserve life, I am willing to submit to you!”
With the two Lords finally swearing allegiance, the blue beams entwining their bodies and consciousness burst into a dazzling light, as brilliant as a falling star.
When the last syllable fell, a bolt of lightning cut through the sky, and the water rose in a towering wave, making the entire whirlpool glow even more magnificently.
The Contract was complete!
Henceforth, these two who had once been invincible and looked down upon all, the Elemental Lords would become tools in David’s hands, obliged to follow his orders.
With the completion of the Contract, David felt a new bond forming between him, Melt Throat, and Frost Eyes.
Though they were forced to be his servants, David knew that only through mutual trust and cooperation could they truly unleash their power.
At this moment, the inner resistance of Melt Throat and Frost Eyes gradually subsided, replaced by a curiosity to understand David’s intentions.
The Contract may have made them submit, but it did not strip them of wisdom and thought.
“Do you know why we fought?” Melt Throat asked in a deep voice.
His Flame was suppressed, yet in his heart still burned strong reluctance and fighting spirit.
“We didn’t fight for personal gain, but to seize the ’Elemental Rainbow Core’.”
“Elemental Rainbow Core?” A hint of doubt flashed in David’s eyes. He had never heard of this term, “What is that?”
Frost Eyes continued, “The Elemental Rainbow Core is a powerful energy source, said to enhance the strength of Elemental Lords, and is also a crucial key to unlocking inherited power.”
“Whoever controls the Rainbow Core can dominate the entire battlefield.” His voice was low and filled with awe.
Hearing this, David finally understood the truth of the matter.
In this chaotic and fiercely competitive Earth, the reason these once-invincible Lords fought each other was due to their relentless pursuit of that powerful force.
David felt that this Elemental Rainbow Core was not simple, and might really be related to the Elemental God.
“But I need you to tell me how we can get there and how to defeat those Guardians.”
Melt Throat nodded, raising his fiery and determined eyes, “It is said that in the depths of the battlefield core, there is a massive Divine Hall, which is where the Rainbow Core is located. But to traverse through the numerous obstacles around it, we need to unite all Elemental Power to jointly face the Ancient Guardians—they are formed by eternal Flame and Ice and Snow, not to be underestimated.”
David nodded, having formulated an idea.
Frost Eyes looked at Melt Throat, and between the two Lords was no longer hostility but a potential alliance.
They finally realized that in the face of a common enemy, relying on individual strength would not achieve victory; they must rely on each other.
“Then let’s start planning how to regain our glory!” he said firmly, his eyes glinting with a desire for rebirth and radiance.
“Alright,” Melt Throat also agreed, “I will provide the strongest support for the Flame, while you are responsible for the Ice and Snow to protect our rear!”
David, Melt Throat, and Frost Eyes united into an indestructible team, embarking on their journey.
After confirming their goal, they decided that before heading to the Elemental Rainbow Core, they must first subdue the other Elemental Lords around to enhance their power and combat ability.
“We must first go and find other Elemental Lords nearby.”
David said, “They are also part of this battlefield, and we can persuade or conquer them to work for us.”
Melt Throat and Frost Eyes exchanged a look, already having formed trust between each other.
Both Lords realized that uniting all Elemental Forces was a crucial step in achieving their goal.
“I know there is a Water Element Lord nearby, his name is Tide Surge,” Frost Eyes said.
“He has extremely strong control over Water Flow, and if we can get him to join us, it will greatly enhance our strength.”
“Tide Surge? Then let’s find him.” David nodded in agreement.
They quickly set off in the direction where Tide Surge might appear.
Soon after, they reached a hidden lake.
The surface of the lake shimmered with a charming brilliance under the sun.
However, as the three approached, a strong and frigid voice emerged from the depths of the lake: “Who are you? How dare you disturb my peace!”
Rising from the water was a slender figure exuding a clear, undulating aura, the Water Element Lord—Tide Surge.
His eyes were like ice, his entire being radiating defiance and pride.
He glanced around, his eyes flashing with vigilance and hostility.
“What are you here for?”
“Tide Surge, I am David,” David began, “I need your help. Our goal is to seize the ’Elemental Rainbow Core’, which requires the union of all fields of power, such as water, flame, ice, to fight against the impending Ancient Guardians.”
Tide Surge frowned, clearly not completely trusting this human.
“Why should I trust you? You might just be here for your own gain.”
Melt Throat and Frost Eyes spoke in David’s defense: “If we don’t unite, we will face an even greater disaster! These ancient creatures will not spare you because of your pride!”
Tide Surge was silent for a moment, feeling a certain unease deep within him, but also driven by a strong desire to survive.
In this unprecedented group, he saw hope, as well as the importance of supporting each other in times of crisis.
“If I choose to help you, can you guarantee my safety?” His voice slightly softened, but still revealed caution.
