Wizard: Stronger through Marriage - Chapter 926 - 418: Fire Dance Makes a Move (2)

Salos, relying on his immense strength and Forbidden Power, was barely holding on.
As time passed, Salos’s strength began to gradually wane.
In the end, he was only a human Wizard; even with Forbidden Power, he couldn’t maintain the Dark Demon God form for long.
Meanwhile, Shuili and Fire Dance only fought fiercer and fiercer, their strength constantly recovering and growing.
Finally, after a violent clash, Salos was blasted away by Shuili and Fire Dance working together, crashing heavily onto the sea’s surface.
His Dark Demon God form began to collapse, his body rapidly shrinking, returning to human form.
The Six-Ring Dark Demon let out a shrill roar and then vanished into the air.
Salos lay on the surface of the sea, gasping for breath, his body covered in wounds; he had clearly lost all combat strength.
He looked at Shuili and Fire Dance, his eyes filled with unwillingness and despair.
“Why… why would it turn out like this…” Salos muttered to himself.
He could not accept that he had actually lost to two Witches.
Shuili and Fire Dance walked up to Salos. Looking at his pathetic state, they felt not the slightest trace of sympathy.
They knew Salos’s ambition and cruelty had already brought too much harm and pain to the Endless Sea and the Chaos Realm.
“Salos, your ambition ends here.” Shuili said coldly. “From today on, the Endless Sea and the Chaos Realm will coexist in peace. There will be no more war or conflict.”
Hearing this, a flicker of anger and unwillingness flashed in Salos’s eyes.
But he also understood that he had been utterly defeated, with no chance of ever turning things around.
Salos lay on the icy sea surface, the waves lightly slapping against his body, as though the ocean itself was giving him a final mockery.
His gaze was empty and dazed as he stared at the distant sky, his heart filled with endless despair and unwillingness.
“That’s impossible… how could the Chaos Realm possess such overwhelming power…” Salos murmured, his voice so weak it was almost swallowed by the sea breeze.
He recalled his former glory, as a Sixth Ring Great Wizard of the Endless Sea.
He had once been regarded as an unbeatable existence; countless forces had bowed their heads before him, and his ambition and desires had swelled accordingly.
He had believed that with his Dark Magic and Forbidden Power, he could easily conquer the Chaos Realm and bring that vast sea region under the Endless Sea’s dominion.
Yet reality had given him a heavy slap in the face.
First he lost to Shuili, that seemingly delicate but incomparably powerful Witch.
Then Fire Dance’s arrival plunged him completely into despair.
The two sisters joining forces had actually driven him, a Sixth Ring Great Wizard, into a dead end.
“Why… why would the Chaos Realm have such powerful Witches…” Salos’s heart was filled with doubt and unwillingness.
He had thought that the Endless Sea’s Magic Power was already strong enough to conquer any enemy.
However, these two Witches from the Chaos Realm had shown him what true power was.
He recalled the moment he used Forbidden Power, and his heart was filled with regret.
If he hadn’t been so eager for quick success, hadn’t craved victory so desperately, perhaps he wouldn’t have ended up like this.
Forbidden Power was indeed formidable, but it had also brought unpredictable consequences.
He had paid a massive price, yet still couldn’t defeat his opponents.
“I lost… completely lost…” Salos said in a low voice, his tone full of despair.
He knew very well he had utterly lost any chance of a comeback.
The Witches of the Chaos Realm would not spare him, and the forces of the Endless Sea would lose faith in him because of his defeat.
His future was already pitch black, devoid of any hope.
Just then, Shuili and Fire Dance walked up to his side.
They looked at Salos’s wretched appearance, feeling no hint of pity.
They knew Salos’s ambition and cruelty had already brought too much damage and suffering to the Endless Sea and the Chaos Realm.
“Salos, your ambition ends here.” Shuili said coldly.
Hearing this, a trace of anger and unwillingness flashed in Salos’s eyes.
He had never imagined that the Chaos Realm would actually have three Six-Ring Grand Mages!
He had paid countless efforts to become a Sixth Ring Great Wizard, so why had these two Witches before him reached the Sixth Ring so easily!
He suddenly raised his head, glaring at Shuili and Fire Dance, and shouted hoarsely, “You think this ends everything? The power of the Endless Sea is far more than this!”
However, just as his words fell, a mocking laugh rang out.
It was a voice from the depths of the Chaos Realm, as if it had crossed time and space and entered directly into Salos’s ears.
“Salos, oh Salos, you’re far too naive.” David walked out. “Do you really think the Endless Sea would dare make an enemy of me for your sake?”
Hearing this, Salos’s heart jolted. “What do you intend to do?”
“Even if I fail, you can’t kill me. Don’t forget the Wizard World is still facing the threat of Hell!”
David walked slowly up to Salos, his gaze radiating an unquestionable majesty and coldness.
“Salos, you once thought that with Forbidden Power and your own strength alone, you could conquer everything.”
“But when faced with a power greater than your own, everything you’ve done is downright laughable.”
“Of course, I won’t kill you. As long as you submit, you can still contribute your strength to the fight against Hell.”
Salos struggled to get up, but the pain in his body left him powerless. He could only glare in fury and roar unwillingly, “David, don’t even think about making me submit to you! I, Salos, would rather die than bow my head!”
David gave a cold laugh and shook his head. “Die? That would be far too easy on you. The crimes you’ve committed must be repaid with the rest of your life.”
He stepped closer, lowered his voice, and continued, “Salos, your Dark Magic and Forbidden Power, in the right hands, can become a formidable weapon against the Hellish Forces. I need your strength to protect this world—but only if you submit to me and abandon that pathetic ambition of yours.”
Salos’s eyes widened as he stared at David in disbelief.
“You… you actually dare…”
David cut him off, his tone firm. “It’s not a question of daring, but of necessity. The Demons of Hell are already stirring, and their power far exceeds your imagination. Only by gathering the strength of all Wizards can we hope to withstand their invasion. And you, Salos—your power is an indispensable part of this alliance.”
Salos fell silent, his gaze wavering between anger and despair.
He knew what David said was true. The threat of Hell was indeed something he had never considered before.
If Hell really invaded, whether the Endless Sea or the Chaos Realm, both would face annihilation.
David’s eyes gleamed with resolve. He slowly raised his right hand, palm up, and a complex and ancient Rune began to form there—that was the ancient and mighty Contract Mark.
As the Rune was completed, the surrounding space seemed to tremble; an indescribable power began to permeate the air.
“Salos, this is your last chance.”
David’s voice was low and powerful, each word striking Salos’s heart like a hammer. “Either submit, or vanish forever. Your choice will decide your fate.”
Salos’s face was as pale as paper. Sweat slid down his forehead and dripped onto the icy sea surface.
He drew in a deep breath, his gaze wandering between David, Shuili, and Fire Dance, and finally fixing on the glowing Contract Mark.
Once he accepted this Contract, he would no longer be a free individual but David’s servant, forced to obey his every command without condition. That was something he could not allow!
