Chapter 1934: Chapter 1934

The name on the business card, surprisingly, was Jiang Heng.

He looked at the company name again, Jianghua Group.

Everything matched, it wasn’t just a namesake; the Jiang Heng on the card was indeed the Jiang Heng he had dealt with before.

Song Guanchao’s expression changed only for a moment before returning to normal. He smiled as he took the card, saying, "Thank you, Governor Fan."

This time, it was Governor Fan’s turn to be surprised; he thought Song Guanchao would be angry.

As far as he knew, Song Guanchao had a hot temper, and even when facing the Deputy Governor, he might not be able to control his anger.

Why was he different from rumored?

The words Governor Fan had prepared were left unspoken.

"Governor Fan, then I’ll take my leave." Song Guanchao put away the business card, stood up, and bid farewell.

"Xiao Song." Governor Fan suddenly called him: "You should really approach this company well and make sure to pull them into the industrial park."

"Hmm, I will." Song Guanchao nodded solemnly. The more he acted this way, the more uncomfortable Governor Fan felt.

It was like a fully charged punch landing in the air.

He thought for a moment and decided to say a couple more words: "Do you know Hong’an Real Estate?"

"I’ve heard of it, a big company in our city. I heard that quite a few new government buildings have been constructed by them."

"You have some understanding, but not enough. Hong’an is not only large in scale; it is also a significant taxpayer in the city. Chairman Wei behind this company is involved in other industries and holds a rather special position in the city and even the province. Many key projects in the city are involved with him, and Secretary Gao praises him highly."

Song Guanchao listened patiently, while Governor Fan concluded, "So, you must seize this opportunity. Secure this company, and you’ll have the chance to attract investment from Chairman Wei in the future."

"Hmm, I’ll strive to bring this company on board." Song Guanchao’s expression was serious. Those unfamiliar with him would surely be fooled by his reaction, thinking he was genuinely interested.

But Governor Fan knew he was simply putting on a front and couldn’t say anything more.

Leaving the office, Song Guanchao picked up a milk tea, smiled as he bid Secretary Xue goodbye, and turned to find Qu Xiangru’s office.

"Secretary Jin, long time no see." Song Guanchao suddenly appeared, startling Jin Rong greatly.

He greeted warmly, "Director Song, what brings you here? Looking for the Governor? Wait a moment; I’ll go in and announce you."

Their voices weren’t low; Qu Xiangru had already heard them.

Hearing Song Guanchao’s voice, she thought she had misheard. Once she confirmed it was him, an uncontrollable smile appeared on Qu Xiangru’s face.

It wasn’t until she heard the knock on the door that she collected herself and suppressed her smile, "Come in."

Jin Rong opened the door, "Governor, Director Song is looking for you."

"Which Director Song?"

"Director Song from the City Government, Song Guanchao."

Song Guanchao listened from behind, rolling his eyes secretly, thinking she’s still pretending not to know it’s him.

"Let him in."

"Director Song, please come in."

Jin Rong accompanied him in and was about to make tea when Qu Xiangru, without lifting her head, said, "No need to make tea, you can leave."

What was going on here?

This was a government official coming for a visit or to report work, not just a casual family visit.

Making tea is basic etiquette; could even this step be skipped?

He glanced at Song Guanchao with a strange expression, wondering when this guy offended Governor Qu?

Jin Rong didn’t dare say anything, quietly leaving the office. As he closed the door, he noticed that it seemed like Song Guanchao was holding something.

Was that... milk tea?

Was he aware he had offended Governor Qu and brought his own drink?

As soon as the door closed, Song Guanchao stepped forward.

Qu Xiangru still had her head down, ignoring the sound of footsteps.

It wasn’t until a cup of milk tea was placed in front of her, followed by Song Guanchao’s cheeky voice, "Let me treat you to milk tea."

Qu Xiangru looked up at the obviously sugary milk tea and said, "I don’t drink this kind of thing."

Song Guanchao selectively ignored her words and picked up her teacup, noticing the lipstick stain on the rim.

He wasn’t shy at all and intentionally sipped exactly where the lipstick stain was.

Qu Xiangru couldn’t be bothered to argue with him: "If you have something to say, just say it. If not, get out, don’t disturb my work."

Song Guanchao put down the teacup, suddenly stood up, and went to open the door.

Hearing the door open, Jin Rong thought it was surprisingly quick; it seemed Governor Qu was not fond of Director Song at all.

But then he looked up and saw Song Guanchao’s serious face: "I have a rather important report for Governor Qu. If anyone looks for me, let them wait outside."

Jin Rong was taken aback, slowly nodding: "Okay."

Song Guanchao closed the door with a serious expression, then turned with a mischievous smile.

Qu Xiangru pressed her lips together forcefully, staring at him with cold eyes.

She knew what Song Guanchao wanted to do, yet helplessly realized she couldn’t stop him.

Song Guanchao circled the desk, coming up behind her, placing his hands on her shoulders: "Governor Qu, let me give you a massage."

"Pa!" Qu Xiangru slapped his hand away, stood up, and faced him: "What do you want with me?"

Song Guanchao had been standing behind her, and when she stood up, the distance between them was only about a fist apart. They were so close that Song Guanchao could smell her unique fragrance.

Unable to resist, Song Guanchao held her waist, pressing her tall yet delicate body against his.

"Let..."

Just as she uttered a word, Song Guanchao blocked her mouth.

His tongue pushed into her mouth, seeking her little pink tongue, wrapping it and sucking it into his own mouth.

His left hand naturally grabbed her round derrière, giving it a firm squeeze.

Caught off guard and assaulted from both sides, Qu Xiangru’s body went limp instantly.

Song Guanchao didn’t make any excessive moves; he just simply kissed and caressed.

Several minutes later, Song Guanchao finally withdrew his tongue, Qu Xiangru’s face already as red as an apple, her eyes wet like a pool of autumn water, and most of her rear was supported by Song Guanchao’s palm.

"I’ve been watched recently and couldn’t come to see you. I’m missing you so much it’s driving me crazy." Song Guanchao explained passionately with just one line.

Qu Xiangru didn’t really believe him, but couldn’t help asking, "Who did you provoke this time?"

"The richest man in Jiangzhou."

"Wei Shoucheng?" Qu Xiangru’s eyebrows immediately furrowed.

"Wei Shoucheng’s son." Song Guanchao added.

"You!" Qu Xiangru said, annoyed, pinching his waist with force.

Song Guanchao "hissed" in pain, grimacing, and not to be outdone, he also gave her rear a firm squeeze.

Qu Xiangru let out a soft moan; her recently calmed body became sensitive again.

Leaning on Song Guanchao’s shoulder, she asked, "Explain clearly, what happened between you and Wei Shoucheng’s son?"

Song Guanchao sat down in her chair, placing her on his lap, allowing her to lean against him. His right hand toyed with her resiliently elastic derrière as he began to narrate the events leisurely.

Qu Xiangru listened attentively while enduring the strange sensations her body experienced.

"If Wei Zejun’s demands aren’t too outrageous, you should make some concessions," she suggested after he finished speaking.
