Chapter 3066: Incomplete Asag III

Two beings coated with divine power clashed against one another in a physical brawl. Apolaki and the Asag’s directly slammed against one another and no one was actually pushed back. The Asag that was confident with its power is actually stunned to see a demigod being able to keep up with its body. The heat emitted from Apolaki’s body does not really burn the Asag but it does not mean that the latter cannot feel it.

The Asag could see that the fire inside the enemy in front of it now is not going down but actually rising with every second they clash. The demigod before him actually has a skill or ability that could make him become equivalent to a lesser god for a small amount of time. The Asag knew that this cannot go on which is why its assault towards Apolaki became even fiercer.

The Asag and Apolaki became enthralled in a fierce battle with one another that they have forgotten that there was actually one more being that is not sealed in movement. Adrian wanted to turn his head around to see what Maya was doing but he could not. What he can sense is that the energy from behind him is slowly becoming stronger and stronger that he could not believe it is something a player that has not yet become a demigod could possess.

The Asag suddenly found a weakness from Apolaki and it was he loses some of his focus if he gets attacked by multiple things. The Asag forced its body to create thorny vines that looked like stalactite and could even pierce like one. Using the additional things that came out of its body, the Asag started to assault Apolaki with everything that it could throw.

The Asag would even try to release a spike from its mouth when it could which actually almost heavily damage Apolaki if not for Adrian’s mouth warning him. The Asag wanted Adrian to shut up but the law that it created must not be tampered with or it will become invalidated. If the Asag actually added more power to the law binding Adrian then the latter just might escape in an instant.

The Asag cannot fully control all of the laws it can manipulate which is why it is only using them to restrain some of the beings that entered its prison. Still, the Asag is confident that it could deal will the two beings it excluded from being bound. In fact, the Asag could see Apolaki becoming slower in reaction as the fatigue is finally getting to him.

Just as the Asag is about to pierce Apolaki from behind using its spear tipped tail, a powerful burst of moonlight exploded from behind Adrian and Tala. A female being draped in moonlight silk with a veil covering her mouth rose from the ground. An ethereal being loved by moonlight has appeared before them.

She was dressed in a way that it is still regal yet what a female warrior should wear. Her hair also grew longer and became darker than the night itself. A large moon disk could be seen floating behind her as if to signify that she is no longer just a mortal. The moon disk moves along with her body and also currently has the form of a full moon with two rings around it.

Maya opened her eyes and one could see that both eyes are now different. One of her eyes is the same as her black iris one but the other is different as the other one has the image of a moon. Adrian could now feel the divinity wrapping around Maya as it is not definitely not ordinary but it did not come from a god or goddess.

"Did she get something good and absorb it in her body? You can say that the state she is in might be due to something called acquired divinity." Adrian thought as there are cases like this after all.

Acquired divinity is not really rare as there are things that could give that which are immortal peaches and other things. The moon goddesses are even famous for it as most of them have acquired divinity. A famous tale is that of a woman drinking an elixir and rising to the moon to become a goddess but that also meant her hunter husband did not become divine as a result.

"There is a problem with that kind of divinity though." Adrian added as he could feel that Maya’s current form is incredibly taxing and is burning more divine energy compared to Apolaki.

The Asag could only gaze at Maya for a moment before she transformed the moon disk behind her into a crescent moon. When the moon disk transformed into a crescent moon, Maya just waved her hand and arrows made of moonlight rained down on the Asag. The Asag tried to dodge but Apolaki actually thought of a ridiculous idea and plunged his two weapons on the tail of the boss monster.

The Asag could not move immediately as it could not abandon its tail since it is a part of its body. The Asag could only defend itself from the rain of moonlight arrows using the limbs it created. The extra limbs that the Asag created were all destroyed trying to protect itself which provided Apolaki the needed breathing room.

Apolaki just took out one of the blades and then jumped directly towards the head of the Asag. Apolaki’s weapon suddenly became large as it blazed with intense sunlight. It was the same skill he used to decimate the entire second floor of this dungeon. He is trying to finish this once and for all even though he knows they can only drop the health of the Asag to 25%.

The Asag could feel that the flames coating Apolaki’s weapon is not ordinary. It could actually damage its divine soul as it was not ordinary sunlight. This is a sunlight that only a true sun god should possess yet it is actually at the hands of a demigod.

"You are not getting away! New Moon!" Maya shouted as her moon disk transformed into that of a new moon.

A dark shadow suddenly descended towards the Asag which hindered its movement to the point that it could no longer move at all. The Asag could not believe what it is experiencing as this type of divine ability is akin to law. How could a being that has yet to become a demigod have an ability that could restrict gods.

Maya is not safe using this ability though as more than half her health vanished upon using it. This was a skill that can only be used on those weaker than her. If she attempts to use it on those stronger than her then there would be backlash. If not for tenacious spirit and also chugging a potion directly, she would have died just now.

"Adlaw’s Scorch!" Apolaki shouted as his entire body’s sunlight transferred to his blade to behead the Asag.

Unfortunately for Apolaki, the Asag was not beheaded but the force of his strike was so powerful that it directly dropped the health of the enemy to 25%. Apolaki also felt a powerful resonance from the energy covering the Asag which is none other than Maya’s energy. It seems that the both of them have a resonance that they have never experienced before.

Before Apolaki could actually look deeper, a powerful shockwave is emitted by the Asag. Everything around the Asag blew away which also included Adrian and Tala as they were also caught up in it. The Asag also unleased a powerful torrent of energy that opened rifts that linked to the other floors of the dungeon.

Adrian and the others wanted to attack the Asag and stop it from trying anything but a powerful force is keeping them locked in place. Also, Apolaki and Maya reverted back to their original forms after the massive shockwave. They could not use their bodies for now as they were experiencing severe weakening from exerting too much. This led to them just watching what is happening with the Asag.

The Asag slammed towards each of the rifts it created as if trying to reach out to any power that it can. It could not get anything from the second floor but the third and fourth should have something it could get. The Asag could get something from the third floor and it was the lava in it. The Asag actually funneled all of the lava and started devouring it by itself.

The fourth floor is also the same as the Asag funneled the cold rocks and ice as it devoured. The weakened body of the Asag suddenly swelled to twice its size. It was already massive but it became bigger than before. This was not the only change as loud cracks could be heard from its back as bat like wings started to grow from it.

"It suddenly became uglier than it already was. I thought that nothing could top it but it actually did." Adrian commented.
