Chapter 3070 The Asag Wails

  • Next Chapter

[The Asag has been reduced to 7% maximum health.]

[Due to the unique nature of the boss monster before you, the instant execution did not trigger instantly.]

[You have identified three weak spots that needed to be attacked in order to activate the instant execution of the boss monster.]

Adrian thought that the boss monster would just drop dead when the health threshold is reached but it seems that is not the case. The fact that the Asag could still wriggle in confusion means that greater gods cannot be instantly executed. If Adrian actually faced a being that does not have divinity yet then the instant execution would have been a sure thing.

Adrian did not mind it though as a skill that could execute gods would be too overpowered. The fact that he was given three weak spots to hit in order to trigger the execution is already a huge leeway. Even if the three weak spots are all difficult to reach, it does not mean that Adrian does not have the means to do it.

Adrian’s entire body summoned a large shadow field on the stone platform. Shadow apparitions that all have the same appearance as Adrian came out of it. This is one of the abilities that Sirius has when he uses shadows. Sirius can make clones of himself using shadows but they do not have any damage at all. They are merely shadow illusions created to fool the enemy.

[You have activated Samael’s Domain.]

"I guess even gods cannot detect a domain that is secretly deployed when they are weakened. This should be easy then but I still need Tala’s help." Adrian muttered as he gave commands to Tala so that she can serve as a diversion.

"As you command, big cousin." Tala replied as she appeared before the Asag again but she was not ignored like before.

As soon as Tala appeared, the Asag used its tail to try and pierce her body once again but she activated a skill that made her incredibly nimble. This took the attention of the Asag which led Adrian to appear in a blind spot where the weak spot of the enemy is. The weak spot is none other than a small wing tucked inside the bigger wings of the Asag.

Adrian reached it quite easily with shadow travel and Void Surge activated simultaneously. The deadliness of Adrian’s attacks is that they do not need to really plunge into it. Just attacking the area would already trigger the weak spot mechanic. As soon as Adrian lightly slashed at the weak spot, his body vanished into the shadows once again.

The Asag did not even notice that a part of its body got chipped because Adrian was too quick with it. The weak spot designated by the system is also not a major body part like the back of the neck. The weak spots are just incredibly difficult places to reach and one would be noticed if they are not looking clearly. With Tala basically running around and becoming the perfect diversion, Adrian reached the second weak spot instantly.

The second weak spot is different than the first since this is actually near the tip of the tail of the Asag. Adrian did reach the tail part of the Asag but he was also noticed by the latter since it was using that part of its body as a means of attack. The Asag switched targets from Tala to Adrian without any second as the transformed demon appeared before it.

Adrian then released Kanlaon from the shadows as the latter’s huge body suddenly coiled around the Asag. The Asag suddenly got coiled by Kanlaon for a brief moment but that was enough for Adrian to plunge one of the claw tips toward the weak spot. Before Kanlaon could get killed by the Asag, Adrian immediately sealed him back and the coiled dragon vanished which led to the release of the boss monster from its binding.

The Asag thought that Kanlaon being gone would mean that it could focus on the demon but Adrian vanished once more. The one that actually attacked is Tala as she used Rabbit Press on the damage part of the tail that Adrian hit earlier. Pain traveled to all parts of the body that the Asag even has and its wails echoed in the room.

The Asag no longer cared if it would damage its own body in the process but it will kill everyone in this area. The Asag slammed its entire body in the stone platform and it made numerous sharp horns grow from the floor. Tala would have been caught and skewered if she did not utilize all of her aura as a protective field that blocked the deadly hit to her body.

Due to losing her protective aura, Tala and Bunn Bunn got separated from one another and the effect of the skill that fused them vanished. They were about to land on a ground filled with sharp horns when insect arms from a rift caught them. Kenos showed himself from his hiding spot but that did not mean that the Asag will stay still.

The Asag’s flaming eyes glowed dark red when it saw Tala and Bunn Bunn. The Asag now feels that it will not be able to live being diminished by mortals. The fact that they are mortal children made the Asag feel more humiliated than ever. The Asag will not rest until the soul of the two are destroyed in its hands.

"If I cannot destroy your soul then I shall torture it for eternity! Once I am done with you, I shall deal with the annoying demon that is hiding." The Asag shouted as it carried its entire body towads Kenos’ location.

Kenos did not panic but he actually looked like he was waiting for the Asag to come close. Just as the Asag is about to reach them, Kenos activated some sort of spatial manipulation that actually briefly paused the Asag in place. The spatial binding did not restrict the Asag forever as it could be seen to move its body gradually but that was enough for Charon to move.

Chains suddenly came out of the shadows that bound the Asag in place. The loud metal clanging could be heard as the Asag tried to resist but Charon and Kenos working together made it difficult for the boss monster to even move immediately. All Adrian needed was a moment and that was given to him by his soulbounds.

One would think that Adrian would emerge from the shadows below but he actually erupted from the shadows above. The last weak spot that was given to him is directly on the forehead of the Asag. There was no way that he could hit that without being noticed which is why they needed a plan and a gamble. It is a good thing that the gamble paid off as Adrian is now in front of the Asag without any problems.

"Realm Ender." Adrian quietly muttered but the force in those words made even the Asag’s instincts scream that it would die there.

"NO! FORGIVE ME! I SHALL BE GOOD! I PRO..." The Asag shouted and wailed but Adrian did not hear anything it said.

The final attack that Adrian did is a deep plunge into the forehead of the Asag despite the burning flames. As soon as his right arm pierced the forehead of the Asag, the light in the eyes of the boss monster dimmed down. The flames that already erupted on Adrian’s arms did not stop though which is why he decided to slice it off. Tala was shocked by what Adrian did but she already expected it from someone in their family.

Tala did not find what Adrian did as unreasonable as they did know that the flames that burned the head of the Asag is special. Despite being cut off, the arm was still blazing in heat and only became ash when all of the energy in it has vanished. The chaos armament also vanished after Adrian cut off his arm and he returned to his normal state.

[Perfect Assimilation has ended.]

[Sirius will now go back to your Soul Chamber to rest.]

[You have killed the Asag.]

[Due to the restrictions placed on it, all loot shall be forfeited as a price for sealing most of the enemy strength.]

[You have obtained Divinity + 2]

[You have obtained a massive amount of Ascension Experience Points.]

[You have now obtained Ascension: Demigod Five Stars]

[Your party member shall be returned back and have their rewards given as well.]

The notifications poured in as the Asag’s death gave them the rewards but no items. It is an acceptable compromise seeing that they were not really meant to clear this dungeon with just the few of them. The fact that they could seal a greater god entity to a lesser god power level is an impossibility in itself. The only reason they were able to do so is due to the stone platform beneath them.
