Chapter 87: Ch 87: Morning Sunlight and Curious Whispers

The other guests eventually made their way downstairs, hurriedly carrying their suitcases with tired, dragging footsteps. PD Xu Cui looked up at them and broke into a teasing smile. "Why do you guys look like zombies?" he asked playfully, letting out an annoying, triumphant laugh.

The guests felt their eyelids twitch in irritation. Whose fault is this? They all thought inwardly, but no one dared voice it out loud. In response, they simply sighed and shuffled down the remaining steps.

Su Wanyan chuckled alongside PD Xu Cui, marveling at their exhausted appearances. Particularly Qin Yuran, who looked like she had just single-handedly saved the world from hunger. Qin Yuran plopped down beside her, surrendering herself to the soft, welcoming hug of the sofa with a dramatic sigh.

Su Wanyan laughed at her, already planning to tease her a little when suddenly Zhao Yichen plopped down on her left side, looking drowsy as he let out a long yawn. Sandwiched between the two, Su Wanyan let out an amused laugh, earning glares from both of them.

"What?" Su Wanyan asked innocently, tilting her head to the side with a bright, harmless smile. Zhao Yichen and Qin Yuran looked at each other and shook their heads in defeat, giving up on this morning owl of a person. Seeing that, Su Wanyan laughed again and leaned back on the sofa just like her two buddies.

After a few seconds of comfortable silence, Zhao Yichen spoke up, his voice heavy with sleep. "What time did you wake up, Su Wanyan?" he asked, his heavy eyes already closing.

"At 5 AM or so," Su Wanyan replied, her voice bright and energetic even at this early hour. Zhao Yichen widened his eyes at that and shook his head in disbelief.

Zhao Yichen let out a chuckle. "You’re a monster," he said, his voice drawn out as his consciousness drifted toward lala land. Not even a second later, he was softly snoring. Su Wanyan let out a fond chuckle at him.

Just then, Qin Yuran on her right side let out a long yawn. Su Wanyan turned her attention to her and raised an eyebrow. "What happened to you?" she asked, finding Qin Yuran’s exhausted-beyond-relief expression amusing. "You look like you just solved world hunger," Su Wanyan joked.

Qin Yuran looked at her with a deadpan expression and sighed. In response, Su Wanyan laughed even harder, wiping a tear from her eye. "But what really happened to you?" she asked, still smiling.

Qin Yuran sighed again and adjusted her position for more comfort, then attempted to drift back to lala land. But she still managed to reply to Su Wanyan’s question. "I got milked last night," she mumbled, then promptly fell back asleep.

Immediately, like he had just heard the greatest tea of all time, Zhao Yichen sat up with wide eyes. "Wait, what did you say?" he asked, blinking rapidly at his friend. In response, Qin Yuran just let out a soft snore, dead asleep from her and Song Meiyu’s activities the night before.

"Wait, come answer me!" Zhao Yichen said, tapping Qin Yuran’s knee rapidly in an attempt to wake her, but to no avail.

Meanwhile, Su Wanyan was still processing it. Milk? What does that supposed to mean? she thought. The only milking she knew was milking a cow, and Qin Yuran was by no means a cow, so what did it mean? Su Wanyan mused inwardly.

She wanted to ask Zhao Yichen what it meant, but he was still busy trying to wake Qin Yuran for details. "Hey! Hey!" Zhao Yichen shouted again, practically shaking Qin Yuran’s entire body. Seeing how occupied he was, Su Wanyan took out her phone, tapped on Google, and searched for the phrase she was curious about.

• What does milking a person mean?

After typing that out, she was greeted by an AI overview. It said that "milking someone" meant exploiting a situation, person, or opportunity to extract the maximum possible advantage. Su Wanyan hummed. Milk of what though? Sleep? she mused inwardly. She scrolled down and saw the "People also ask" section.

Su Wanyan shrugged and clicked on one that said "milking meaning in slang." After doing so, however, she couldn’t help but feel like some kind of old person who couldn’t keep up with the youngsters. Su Wanyan shivered at that thought. Gosh, she thought.

Then she read the result of that search and her eyes widened. It said that "milking" meant when someone jerks off or fucks an alpha until every drop of cum comes out. Su Wanyan’s jaw dropped. She covered her mouth in shock and looked at Qin Yuran as if she had grown another head.

The barrage that was watching laughed at them but also lamented their circumstances.

[LOLOL THEIR EXPRESSIONS ARE SO FUNNY!]

[TRUE, ESPECIALLY SU WANYAN’S SHOCKED EXPRESSION!]

[Someone take a screenshot of that and make it a meme!]

[On it, boss!]

[But I wonder.. what are they talking about?]

[Upstairs, stop worrying and drink your medicines. That’s the reason why I woke you up.]

[CALM DOWN, I’M GOING TO DRINK IT!]

[Good.]

["Good." YOUR FACE!]

[LMAO, THEY’RE AWAKE!]

While the barrage was getting distracted yet again, Su Wanyan got over her shock and instinctively looked at Mo Xingxue to spill it to her best friend. When she looked at Mo Xingxue, Mo Xingxue was already looking back at her. Mo Xingxue smiled and placed a finger on her lips, signaling Su Wanyan to keep quiet. To which Su Wanyan nodded obediently.

She returned her attention to Qin Yuran, who was finally rousing due to Zhao Yichen’s persistent shaking. "What?" Qin Yuran asked, cracking her eyes open.

Zhao Yichen immediately pulled Su Wanyan closer, and the three of them formed another makeshift circle. "You....." Zhao Yichen started, looking at Qin Yuran’s exhausted expression, "did you guys really do it?" he hesitantly asked.

Qin Yuran’s brain processed it for a moment, then she blushed. Even without her confirming it, Su Wanyan and Zhao Yichen had already drawn their own conclusions.

After a breath, Qin Yuran nodded. "Yeah..." she said, her voice so quiet that Zhao Yichen would have missed it if his ear wasn’t practically pressed against her mouth.

"Eh!" Zhao Yichen let out in disbelief. Qin Yuran pulled him closer, and she and Su Wanyan shushed him. Zhao Yichen knew his blunder and quickly covered his mouth. The three continued conversing, their circle tight and secretive.

A few minutes earlier, when Qin Yuran and Zhao Yichen had plopped down beside Su Wanyan, the two omegas were also making their way to sit with Mo Xingxue and the children.

The living room was bathed in the soft, golden light of early morning, the rays filtering through the windows and casting a warm, comforting glow over the plush sofas and polished floors.

The air carried the faint, soothing scent of fresh coffee and the subtle floral notes from the plants near the windows. "Good morning, Uncle Jiho!" Shen Guoxing greeted him brightly as Han Jiho sat down on Mo Xingxue’s right side.

Han Jiho smiled, feeling his lingering sleepiness melt away at the child’s cheerful greeting. "Good morning to you too, Xing’er," he replied softly, gently patting her head. Shen Guoxing let out a soft chuckle, leaning into the affectionate touch.

Just then, Song Meiyu approached them, holding her sore waist with one hand. Shen Guoxing noticed her immediately and perked up. "Good morning to you, Aunt Meiyu!" she said energetically, hopping down to escort her.

Song Meiyu felt her heart bloom with warmth, and she gently took Shen Guoxing’s outstretched hand. "Good morning, sweetie," Song Meiyu replied softly, her voice still laden with exhaustion.

After carefully walking over, she finally reached the sofa. Song Meiyu’s breath hitched slightly when her bottom touched the cushion. Mo Xingxue and Shen Guoxing looked at her worriedly. "Are you okay?" Mo Xingxue asked, frowning in concern. Song Meiyu smiled at her and waved it off. "I’m alright," she said, laughing softly.

Meanwhile, Han Jiho looked at Song Meiyu knowingly. He hummed and glanced at PD Xu Cui, then at Mo Yan sleeping deeply in Mo Xingxue’s arms, and finally at Shen Guoxing, who was still fretting over Song Meiyu.

Han Jiho leaned down to Shen Guoxing and smiled. "Xing’er," he called softly. Shen Guoxing looked at him, but her hands were still clutching Song Meiyu’s pants worriedly. Han Jiho smiled at her. "Do you know that the sunrise at this time is good for your body?" he asked randomly, his eyes shining with hunger for gossip.

Shen Guoxing looked confused for a moment but nodded. "Yes, Uncle," she said obediently. Then a smile graced her lips. After all, back in the hospital, whenever her Aunt Wanyan was free and would look after her, she would always take her out to sunbathe, saying it was good for the body. Shen Guoxing deeply treasured those rare moments—those were the times when her Aunt Wanyan would fully focus on her.

She also recalled that in the past, she would often pray that her Aunt Wanyan would always have free time so she could spend it with her.. she knew it was a selfish wish, as many children like her needed her aunt, but she couldn’t help it. Those were the only times she would feel like a normal child.. who also had a family of her own.

Seeing the brief sadness in Shen Guoxing’s eyes, Han Jiho’s hunger for gossip toned down. He looked at PD Xu Cui again and smiled. "PD," Han Jiho called out. PD Xu Cui, who was sitting in his personal chair, looked at him in confusion.

"Can you take Shen Guoxing to play outside?" Han Jiho asked, planning to slowly but surely overwrite Shen Guoxing’s bad memories with fun and sunny ones now. But he still couldn’t ignore the gossip, so he’d pass the responsibility to PD Xu Cui for now. I’ll make it up to you later, Xing’er, Han Jiho promised inwardly.

PD Xu Cui immediately nodded. "Of course, no need for that request," he said, already walking toward them. Shen Guoxing widened her eyes at that. She looked at Han Jiho, who nodded, then glanced at Song Meiyu worriedly one more time. "I’ll take pretty flowers for you, Aunt!" Shen Guoxing vowed, then hurriedly left with PD Xu Cui.

Song Meiyu smiled at her. "I’m taking her," Song Meiyu said to Mo Xingxue, who raised an eyebrow at her. "Make your own one," Mo Xingxue replied, shaking her head.

Meanwhile, Han Jiho called a staff member. "Excuse me," he said to one who was just watching them. The staff walked over. "Yes?" he asked.

Han Jiho smiled at him. "Can you take little Mo Yan to sunbathe?" he asked, his meaning clear.

The staff member nodded. "Of course," he said. Mo Xingxue raised an eyebrow at that but still handed Mo Yan over after giving some precautions. After a few more words, the staff member brought Mo Yan out to the backyard to sunbathe.

After doing all that, Han Jiho looked at Song Meiyu, his eyes burning with curiosity. "Now spill," he said, his voice energetic and full of anticipation.
