Chapter 89: Ch 89: Boarding the Bus and Pink Moments

The morning sun continued to climb higher, bathing the villa grounds in warm golden light as the guests made their way toward the waiting bus. PD Xu Cui stood at the door, clapping his hands energetically. "Come on, come on!" he called out, hurrying the guests inside. "We’ll get caught in traffic if you all keep moving like turtles," he added, letting out an annoying laugh at their frustrated expressions.

The guests felt their eyelids twitch in irritation, but no one dared voice their thoughts. In response, they simply sighed and continued walking.

Su Wanyan was pulling four suitcases at once with surprising ease, while Mo Xingxue pulled one and carried Mo Yan securely in her arms. The baby remained miraculously asleep despite all the noise and movement around her. Shen Guoxing was helping too, pushing one suitcase to ease her Aunt Wanyan’s load.

As they approached the bus, staff members quickly took over the luggage. "Thank you," Su Wanyan said gently, handing them the suitcases.

"Thank you!" Shen Guoxing echoed brightly and more energetically. She then performed a little bow to the staff, earning fond chuckles from them. Su Wanyan smiled and gently scooped Shen Guoxing into her arms. "Let’s go," she said to the child, who immediately nodded.

However, she didn’t step into the bus yet and waited. Mo Xingxue handed her suitcase to a staff member, and when she looked up, she saw Su Wanyan standing near the door holding Shen Guoxing in her arms and staring at her.

Mo Xingxue smiled at Su Wanyan’s docile behavior. She walked up to her. "Let’s go," Mo Xingxue said gently, already climbing the steps. Immediately, Su Wanyan followed after her.

Shen Guoxing smiled inwardly. Walk ’em like a dog, sis. Walk ’em like a dog, she sang to herself.

As they got inside the bus, they were hit by the design of it. The inside of the bus had a cool, modern design, with LED lights casting a soft glow over everything. Behind the seats were mini tables that could be used for eating or resting. Mo Xingxue was admiring the layout when she noticed a baby car seat. She looked at PD Xu Cui, who was already looking at her, and he sent her an exaggerated salute.

Mo Xingxue let out a chuckle, fondly shaking her head. It’s interesting how this man, who I barely knew, treats me way better than my parents, Mo Xingxue thought, a hint of sadness flashing in her eyes before it melted away, her expression turning cool and laid-back again.

However, as a PD for many years, PD Xu Cui noticed that expression and couldn’t help but purse his lips, feeling pity for Mo Xingxue.

Meanwhile, Su Wanyan, who was following Mo Xingxue and Mo Yan, saw that they had sat in the third-row seat where there was a baby car seat. Su Wanyan noted that and immediately chose the seat in front of them. She gently let Shen Guoxing down on the window seat, who immediately glued her face to the window, her excitement palpable.

Su Wanyan looked at Mo Xingxue and saw the sleepiness still lingering between her brows. "Xuexue," Su Wanyan called softly.

Mo Xingxue looked up at Su Wanyan in front of her and smiled. "Yeah? What’s wrong?" Mo Xingxue asked, the smile expertly hiding her fatigue. But Su Wanyan easily saw through it—after all, Mo Xingxue was someone she had grown up with. She knew the woman inside and out.

"You want to sleep?" Su Wanyan asked, gently tucking a stray strand of hair behind Mo Xingxue’s ear. Mo Xingxue pursed her lips at the gentle gesture, her heart racing.

"Yeah, I’ll take a nap while we’re on the road," Mo Xingxue replied after gathering her calm, not letting Su Wanyan sense the turbulent emotions she was feeling inside.

Su Wanyan smiled. "We can switch places," she said gently. Mo Xingxue looked at her in confusion. Su Wanyan smiled bashfully and scratched her cheek, pointing at the sleeping baby. "Well, the little one might wake up and start crying...." Su Wanyan said.

Mo Xingxue nodded, waiting for her to continue. "And well, I want you to be fully rested," Su Wanyan added bashfully, feeling embarrassed for reasons she didn’t quite know. Calm down, heart! Su Wanyan shouted inwardly.

Mo Xingxue smiled at the thoughtful suggestion from her alpha. She stood up and nodded. "I’ll take you up on that offer then," Mo Xingxue said. Su Wanyan smiled and stepped out of the way to let Mo Xingxue settle. Mo Xingxue smiled and sat down. She looked at Shen Guoxing, who was still excitedly looking out the window.

Then, Shen Guoxing suddenly looked back and saluted at Mo Xingxue. "Don’t worry, Aunt Xingxue," Shen Guoxing said seriously—at least as serious as she could muster. "I won’t be noisy," she added, still in her serious tone and salute position.

Mo Xingxue laughed at Shen Guoxing’s cute behavior and reached out to pat her head, to which Shen Guoxing melted into the touch. "Then I’ll have to trouble you, Xing’er," Mo Xingxue said gently. Shen Guoxing smiled and let out cute giggles. Mo Xingxue smiled and chuckled along with her.

Meanwhile, Su Wanyan, who was listening to their conversation with her enhanced hearing, couldn’t help but smile. She looked at Mo Yan beside her and reached out to caress the baby’s face with her finger, soothing her into a deeper and more comfortable sleep.

Meanwhile, Gu Chengze saw all of those moments. He gritted his teeth, practically grinding them due to his anger. That inferior shit! Gu Chengze thought, wanting to hit the chair in front of him, but quickly gathered himself after reminding himself that Lin Xuanyu was still beside him.

Gu Chengze breathed heavily, letting out a huff and puff in an attempt to calm himself but failing miserably. He glared at Su Wanyan again. I’ll take you down, you lowly mut, he thought darkly, vowing to himself.

While the others were already settling inside and getting comfortable, Song Meiyu was still at the middle part of the stairs, holding her aching waist with one hand and a suitcase with the other.

She sighed softly. If I knew she was going to put me into this state.... I wouldn’t have tempted her last night, Song Meiyu thought, sighing again. It was worth it though, she followed inwardly, satisfaction blooming in her chest as she remembered what she and Qin Yuran had done.

Song Meiyu sighed once more and took another careful step down, her legs still shaking slightly. Just then, a shadow towered over her. Song Meiyu looked up and saw Qin Yuran staring at her with a blush and a hint of guilt in her expression. Song Meiyu smiled at her.

"Is something the matter?" she asked softly. Qin Yuran silently shook her head rapidly and took Song Meiyu’s suitcase. After taking it, she hurriedly went down the stairs.

Song Meiyu was left there, stunned at what had just happened, before continuing her slow descent. But after taking three steps, Qin Yuran’s figure towered over her again. "Yes?" Song Meiyu said, chuckling at Qin Yuran’s behavior.

Qin Yuran pursed her lips. "Sorry," she muttered softly before Song Meiyu’s line of vision suddenly elevated. Song Meiyu let out a surprised shriek and instinctively locked her arms around Qin Yuran’s neck.

Qin Yuran lifted Song Meiyu effortlessly and began to slowly go down the stairs, careful not to shake her as she knew it would cause pain. After snapping out of her initial shock, Song Meiyu smiled at the thoughtful gesture and leaned her head on Qin Yuran’s chest.

Qin Yuran blushed at that, the peach blossom pheromones of Song Meiyu enveloping her. Truthfully, at first Qin Yuran had thought the peach blossom scent on Song Meiyu was just a perfume she used, but last night she had found out it was actually her pheromones—and Qin Yuran had gotten her fill of it. Qin Yuran blushed harder, remembering what they had done the night before.

Song Meiyu, who was resting her head on Qin Yuran’s chest, heard Qin Yuran’s steady breathing suddenly turn erratic and couldn’t help but laugh. Hearing her laughter, Qin Yuran blushed even more before coughing to clear away her embarrassment.

Qin Yuran looked straight ahead, still going down slowly and steadily. "I’m sorry," Qin Yuran suddenly said. "For what?" Song Meiyu asked, looking at Qin Yuran’s serious but blushing face. Qin Yuran let out a wry smile. "Well, for putting you into this situation," Qin Yuran said honestly, a trace of guilt in her voice.

Song Meiyu laughed and shook her head. "Hey, it’s not your fault," Song Meiyu reassured her. Then the woman let out a teasing smirk. "Besides, you were really good last night," she said, a hint of seduction in her voice.

Qin Yuran blushed furiously, turning her face away from Song Meiyu’s direction and ignoring the burning gaze on her. Song Meiyu chuckled at that.

She’s so innocent, Song Meiyu thought. Yeah, this alpha is mine, she thought, nodding to herself. Anyone trying to take her away from me will not end up in a good condition, Song Meiyu vowed. If anyone could hear her thoughts, they would look at her weirdly. After all, she was known as a soft and shy person, not.. this!

Fortunately for them, no one could hear what she was thinking, so they could still keep that image intact. Song Meiyu leaned her head back onto Qin Yuran’s chest again, listening to Qin Yuran’s erratic heartbeat.

After Qin Yuran gathered her wits, she straightened up again and looked straight ahead. "I’m sorry for ma...." Qin Yuran said, although the last part was muffled, making it unintelligible.

"Sorry?" Song Meiyu asked, not hearing the last part. Qin Yuran blushed, imaginary steam coming out of her head. Qin Yuran coughed to clear her throat, suppressing the embarrassment erupting in her body.

"I said," Qin Yuran started, a little louder this time, "I’m sorry for marking you," she said, before turning her face away again in embarrassment.

Song Meiyu laughed at that. "Oh, that?" Song Meiyu said, shaking her head. "That was just a temporary mark. You don’t need to be sorry," Song Meiyu said, shaking her head. She then leaned forward to Qin Yuran’s ear. "I told you, you can give me a permanent one," she said, before blowing a breath against Qin Yuran’s ear.

Qin Yuran shrank her shoulders, causing Song Meiyu’s breath to hitch at the sudden movement. Qin Yuran snapped out of it and looked worriedly at Song Meiyu. "I’m sorry! I’m sorry!" she said hurriedly, fixing her grip on Song Meiyu again.

Song Meiyu smiled and waved it off. "I’m okay," she said, her heart warming at Qin Yuran’s worry. Qin Yuran looked at her worriedly, while Song Meiyu just enjoyed her concern.

Just as they were wrapped up in a pink atmosphere, PD Xu Cui barged in and ruined it. "Hey, two love birds! Do that later!" PD Xu Cui shouted from the bus. The two blushed, and Qin Yuran hurriedly walked toward the bus, still careful not to hurt the omega in her arms.
