A day later.

In the racecourse, three fine steeds galloped, at times side by side, at times keeping a distance.

After a refreshing and exhilarating run, Bai Zhi’er on her red date horse was the first to stop.

"Hoo..." She wiped the sweat from her forehead, watching Feng Fuce and Xie Yu galloping side by side ahead.

They had too much stamina; she was tired from playing and didn’t want to chase anymore.

Slowly, Bai Zhi’er rode to a nearby stand to rest, where Cai Ying immediately handed her some chilled tea.

When Feng Fuce and Xie Yu stopped, she waved: "You both come rest a bit too!"

As Xie Yu walked over, he took a teacup from the servant and drank it in one go.

His sweat flowed across his sharp brows, panting as he looked at Feng Fuce.

Xie Yu said: "In Yan Country, no one can outrun me in horse racing, but you have pretty good riding skills."

Feng Fuce drank his tea calmly: "Because we’re different identities, you’re the Emperor in Yan Country, others fear you, so naturally they wouldn’t dare to pass you, but here in Chu Kingdom, I don’t need to worry about your opinion."

Xie Yu, holding the teacup, stared off into an empty space, murmuring: "Yes, finding those who care about me, they would consider my feelings..."

Feng Fuce raised an eyebrow, looking at Xie Yu, seeming to ponder where this resentful air was coming from.

Bai Zhi’er stood up, smilingly saying: "We’ve played enough, let’s go change clothes at Ya Pavilion, then head to Xijiang Yue for a meal. Little brother Xie Yu hasn’t tried our authentic Chu Kingdom cuisine yet; we must let you eat to your fill later!"

Xie Yu hopped: "Can you stop calling me little brother? I’m only a few months younger than you."

"A few months younger is still younger!"

"I don’t want it."

"What should I call you then?"

"A Yu."

After he finished speaking, Bai Zhi’er blinked, while Feng Fuce coldly shouted: "Brother A Yu, let’s go, change clothes."

To avoid Xie Yu pestering Bai Zhi’er to call him like that, Feng Fuce nudged Xie Yu’s shoulder, heading toward Ya Pavilion.

Along the way, Xie Yu’s dissatisfied voice drifted with the wind: "I said A Yu, without the brother part!"

"Got it, brother A Yu."

"Marquis Wan, you’re intentionally going against me!"

Seeing them bickering like that, Bai Zhi’er shook her head with a light laugh: "I somehow feel they look noisy, but if they really get along, they could be pretty good friends?"

Cai Ying nodded in agreement: "I think so too! Your Highness, will you need me to accompany you to Xijiang Yue for the meal later?"

"What’s wrong? Do you have something to do?" Bai Zhi’er inquired.

Cai Ying smiled: "Sister Qingmei is pregnant, I wanted to ask for some Bai family cloth to sew patchwork clothes for her child. It’s a custom from my hometown; children who wear patchwork clothes can grow up safe and healthy!"

Upon hearing this, Bai Zhi’er couldn’t help but be delighted: "Good! Then you go ahead, I don’t need anyone to serve here, today’s main purpose of bringing you out was to let you relax too."

With that, she took out a packet of silver from her sleeve: "Here."

"Princess, I can’t accept your silver!"

"Take it!" Bai Zhi’er insisted, stuffing it into her hand: "You’re unfamiliar with the place, asking for patchwork clothes isn’t easy, you can buy some snacks when you go, it would be easier to ask. Without silver coins, this is what I should give you."

Cai Ying was deeply moved: "Your Highness is truly kind!"
