OMG! Tyrant's Pampered Baby Is a Valued Princess
Chapter 1498: Can You Call Me A yu? Please?
Upon hearing this.
Zhi’er couldn’t help but retort, "I wasn’t deliberately hiding anything, but at the time Yan Country was in chaos. If I had given you advice as a foreign princess, you might have thought I had ulterior motives."
Unexpectedly, Xie Yu wasn’t listening to her explanation.
He continued speaking on his own, "I’m about to leave, before I go, could you call me A Yu just once?"
Feng Fuce stopped in his tracks, furrowing his brows as he turned back, "You’re not actually drunk, are you?"
However, Xie Yu began to retch, and Zhi’er, worried he might throw up, quickly asked Feng Fuce to put him down.
Fortunately, there was a wonton stall nearby with seats for people to rest.
Feng Fuce placed Xie Yu on a bench, and he slumped over, heavily intoxicated. Left with no choice, Feng Fuce acted as a chair for Xie Yu to lean against.
After all, he couldn’t bear to let Zhi’er be the one supporting Xie Yu.
Xie Yu kept asking, "Can you call me A Yu? Can you?"
Zhi’er smiled helplessly, "A Yu, alright?"
It seemed like some kind of spell was cast.
After she called him, Xie Yu, who had been babbling nonsensically, quieted down.
His pale cheeks were flushed with a drunken blush.
Zhi’er thought that at this moment, Xie Yu didn’t seem like the little emperor of Yan Country, but more like an ordinary young man.
Seeing that he had no reaction, Feng Fuce said, "Let’s take him back, he looks like he’s fine now."
Zhi’er nodded and watched as Feng Fuce, with a cold expression, slung Xie Yu over his shoulder like a sack and quickly walked toward Mo Yanchi Mansion.
"Brother Fu Ce, won’t carrying him like that make him uncomfortable?"
"Are you worried about him?"
"No! I’m just worried he’ll throw up on you, and besides, that position is really uncomfortable..." Zhi’er was afraid of making Feng Fuce jealous but also wanted to be honest.
Considering her feelings, Feng Fuce eventually decided to carry Xie Yu properly.
When they reached Mo Yanchi Mansion, Mo Yanchi saw Xie Yu, dead drunk, and immediately scolded, "That brat drank recklessly again. In Yan, he wasn’t allowed to drink, but here in Chu, he’s completely unrestrained, utterly ridiculous!"
"My little disciple, you’ve worked hard. Next time, don’t bother with him, just leave him on the street. There are plenty of hidden guards around to ensure no one takes him away."
Zhi’er laughed, "That’s not an option. Alright, we’ve delivered him. Master, I’m heading back to the palace."
Mo Yanchi waved his hand, "Take care! Remember to visit your master next time!"
Zhi’er linked arms with Feng Fuce, bidding farewell as they left.
After they departed, Mo Yanchi hoisted Xie Yu’s arm and took him to the backyard.
"You brat! Since taking you as my disciple, you’ve never given me a moment’s peace. I told you not to clash with your senior brother, you didn’t listen, and now you’ve gone and drank yourself silly!"
Just then, Xie Yu’s hoarse, low voice came through, "I’m not drunk."
Mo Yanchi was taken aback. Xie Yu released his hold and stood upright.
He had kept his eyes closed, but now they were open, and Mo Yanchi realized there wasn’t a trace of drunkenness in them.
Hands on hips, Mo Yanchi exclaimed, "Hey, you brat, what’s with the pointless act of being drunk?"
Xie Yu ignored him, something cheerful on his mind, as he laughed all the way back to his room.
"I’m talking to you! Why aren’t you answering?" Mo Yanchi fumed, chasing after him, "Do you have no respect for your teacher?"
Xie Yu remained engrossed in his own joy.
Not for any particular reason, it’s just that he had given up on Zhi’er, not because he no longer cared for her, but because he knew he couldn’t give her the happiness she deserved.
